@NippyCrab isn't it funny how the weather changes so much place to place (assuming you are uk) it's so sunny here today, I even had to take my coat off and walk in my t shirt for a bit... dogs turn in a bit so fingers crossed it stays dry!

MargoLivebetter · 18/10/2024 10:56

@CheekySwan that is a really impressive loss - and daily steps too. There is no doubt that MJ is not for everyone. If you felt like it, would you let us know how you get on without it? I would definitely be interested to hear, as I guess most of us will be in the same position (as in stopping taking it) at some point.

owlyboo · 18/10/2024 10:54

@CheekySwan I think that's a really sensible decision. It's not for everyone and if I was having awful side effects I would have given up a long time ago! Good luck!

Thanks, I have made a good start so it has been worth it and it's taught me so much with regards to my diet

owlyboo · 18/10/2024 10:58

@CheekySwan a fantastic start, great loss, I'm sure you'll be able to carry on, like you say you've learnt the good habits 🤞🤞

Pinkjenny · 18/10/2024 11:32

@CheekySwan Absolutely fantastic loss regardless of the next stage of your journey. You have to be able to live life as well, and if the jab is not sustainable for you, then at least you've got something tangible out of it.

weaseleyes · 18/10/2024 11:42

Good luck @CheekySwan and a great loss so far. If I had as little left to lose as you I'd be delighted, so I'm sure you can do it.

Commiserations to stsers. We know it's inevitable, but it's never fun when it happens!

weaseleyes · 18/10/2024 11:59

I've been showing as 2lb down pretty much all week, following a couple of days of feeling really rough after last week's jab and not being able to eat much. I got up early this morning as I had lots to do (day off from the main job, but have some side job stuff and volunteering to fit in), was hopeful I might even have squeaked an extra lb loss in, only to find I'd gained a lb back. I was furious! Whilst I try to be sanguine about these things, I simply couldn't accept the unfairness! I refused to get up as then I'd have to get dressed, have breakfast etc so I got my laptop and went back to bed in a rage. I worked angrily and thirstily for several hours, then got up at 10 to go to the loo and found the lb had gone again 😎

So that's a completely petulant and ridiculous 2lb down for me this week. 29 gone in total, so I'm very pleased to join the 2 stone off club!

weaseleyes · 18/10/2024 12:00

And congrats to @Blondeshavemorefun for a bold breaking free from sts!

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/10/2024 12:20

Thanks all. Amazed so much. And not lb

Oh bless you @CheekySwan - you've lost 22lbs which is amazing on 2.5 but sorry been so poorly 💐

But feel free to stay on here and keep us informed how so off mj

As one day we will be off

Not sure if the soup but I don't like lentils so ....... but enjoy

Well done @weaseleyes on the 2lb loss

Jab day today and my appetite is near 0 again - but I did have a hungry day yesterday so I wonder if that's to do with it

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/10/2024 12:56

I'm def more hungry Day 6/7

@CheekySwan good luck. All those pounds you've lost even while feeling so ill should have positive health benefits in the long run - and it's still a huge loss. I hope you start to feel better soon.

Timetochange24 · 18/10/2024 13:17

I weigh daily and usually remember to log it on MFP so thought it might help some of you to see the variation in case you're feeling despondent about the story you're getting from less frequent measurements. The biggest bumps (10/09 and 8/10) have been about 1kg increase around my periods. Last night for example I had an event on so ate more salty food than normal and I weigh more than I did yesterday. I know it's not for everyone but thought it might be reassuring - if I only weighed today for example I'd think I'd pretty much stayed the same since last week but there's still a downward trend.

@CheekySwan good luck with your onward journey, the side effects can be brutal. Please do check in and let us know how you are doing.
@owlyboo I'm SW Scotland, the weather is rubbish today, the wind isn't cold though. It's to be sunny tomorrow 😎

NippyCrab · 18/10/2024 13:27

I've measured and from 9th August I've lost a total of 12.5 inches all over.
Waist -4 off
Bust -3.5 off
Hips - 0.5 off
Belly - 2.5 off
I think i made an arse of the thighs because one has supposedly 1.5 off and the other 0.5 off when they were both the same size haha, weird. X

weaseleyes · 18/10/2024 13:43

Well done @NippyCrab - that's a lot of inches off!

I don't think I can really distinguish between belly and hips, there's so much wobbly horror going on. I used to be a pear shape, then I somehow grew an apple as well. Now I'm really michelin man shaped, just a very slightly deflated and droopier one at present. I hope at least some of the numerous spare types vanish, even if most just end up hanging there with less air in!

NippyCrab · 18/10/2024 13:47

@weaseleyes I'm now and apple shape, I was a pear when younger. All my weight just went on my belly one night and never went 😂
My areas of fat seem deflated and soft, I'm hoping that's it all disintegrating 😄

owlyboo · 18/10/2024 13:50

@NippyCrab we are literally opposite ends of the country then! Great measurement losses!

My main fatty area is my boobs... they're huge 😂 they're slowly starting to go down and I can't wait! Loved having smaller boobs (still big for the average joe but small for me!) when I was smaller before.

weaseleyes · 18/10/2024 13:50

Glad there's another fruit hybrid out there @NippyCrab!

weaseleyes · 18/10/2024 13:52

I think you'll be more at risk in the quicksand without those large boobs to keep you afloat @owlyboo, so be careful!

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/10/2024 13:55

Def shies loss @Timetochange24 I weigh once on a Friday before I jab but after I wee

Every ml counts 😂

To see me go and up and down over the week would drive me nuts but if works for you then great

@NippyCrab great losses on measurements

I do cm as more of them 😂

My hips are the thing that lost the most

I'm a typical pear shape - child birthing hips

poppym12 · 18/10/2024 13:55

I've lost a love handle/half a muffin top Hmm.

For some bizarre reason, my waist curves more normally to my hips on the right hand side now but in the same place on the left hand side, there's still a little roll of flab. How attractive Grin.

I haven't lost any weight but I haven't measured myself for a couple of weeks so be interesting to see whether I've lost any inches.

This is reassuring, thank you!

😂😂 @weaseleyes imagine someone who just dips in and out reading your comment out of context 😂😂

weaseleyes · 18/10/2024 14:32

It could give a somewhat unbalanced view of the side effects of MJ, true 😀
