I was expecting some words of consolation from dh, but no.

'Well you'll just have to get it off next week, you've worked so hard, you don't want it to go the other way.'

Charming.

I think men just don't get it.

My brother is also on a weight loss journey, he's lost about the same amount as me but he looks really different for it, I don't look massively different day to day yet. He just doesn't understand how annoying it is to hear him say he's just cut out takeaways and started lifting weights

owlyboo · 18/10/2024 08:02

@NippyCrab definitely. I was a very fit size 10 in around 2016-2020 and remember that feeling very well. And I'm dying to get back to it!! And can definitely feel my walks and exercise getting easier week by week! Glad you're feeling the physical benefits!

@Pinkjenny if you haven't done anything different it can only be water weight so try not to be too disheartened, easier said than done I know!!! Well done for just hitting the reset button 🤞 for a massive loss next week! (Men never say the right thing!!)

@itwasnevermine men lose weight SO much easier which can be very frustrating!!!

Good luck to any weighters today, mine is tomorrow!

FlappingMadly · 18/10/2024 08:12

My DH just cut out biscuits and boom, instant loss. Marvellous apples from our tree this year. 😈

Jab day and no loss for me. DH thinks it’s muscle which I very much doubt. But my body might be in shock 🤣. I am still lower than I was in the year before lockdown. Really am hoping it’s not going to be a long reset.

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/10/2024 08:18

Awww @Pinkjenny sorry for the gain 💐

It may be totm. Esp if had one 3w ago

My very light period lasted 2 days - the first since July and thinking about it I sts last week so maybe there is something in gaining

Sure next week you will have a whoosh of the gain and more

If you haven't had much suppression this week maybe time to increase - what dose are you on ?

@FlappingMadly sorry sts. Did you lose last week ? But rem sts isn't bad (you all told me that lol) it's not a gain

SW 16.3

Lost 1st 8 on mj and 1.1 on sw before so overall 2st 9

Whispers sorry @FlappingMadly and @Pinkjenny feel bad being happy

That makes me feel better for sts last week which was also my first mini period since July

Still not sure getting suppression like I did on 10 but it's a loss so very happy with that

I've stayed the same again 🙄😑😤 not even a wee ounce of a difference, 12st 9lbs. I must be in a plateau 😳
Why did I bloody weigh myself..

owlyboo · 18/10/2024 08:24

Well done @Blondeshavemorefun !

owlyboo · 18/10/2024 08:25

Eugh sorry @NippyCrab ! Hopefully a big loss next week to make up for it!!

FlappingMadly · 18/10/2024 08:27

Bah @Pinkjenny @NippyCrab . I feel your pain.

Pinkjenny · 18/10/2024 08:30

Thanks for all the encouragement. Last jab of 5mg today and then up to 7.5 next week.

WorriedRelative · 18/10/2024 08:42

NSV for me yesterday evening, popped my M&S size 16 boyfriend jeans on after work and realised I could get them on and off without undoing them!

NippyCrab · 18/10/2024 08:43

Missed your post @Blondeshavemorefun fab loss and you so deserve to be estatic 💃👏
I wish I could stick a tube in my belly and drain some fat out, its just stuck on there like a kangaroo pouch!
I'm away to ninja over some dunes and rocks with the dogs to burn some pesky fat! 🪨 🧗‍♀️

FlappingMadly · 18/10/2024 08:48

I had to share my lunch before I finished the bowl. Homemade lentil and vegetable soup with chopped up chicken breast substituted for the potato's.

Re NSV’s. Sometimes I prefer them to scale victories.

itwasnevermine · 18/10/2024 09:32

Morning all!

Happier this morning but still in pain. Tired and pissed off but my mood is better at least

NippyCrab · 18/10/2024 09:47

Hello my wee MJ buddies, we are being carried along by the wind it's exhilarating. I'm going to measure today and compare to my first measurements as I've not done it since.

Glad mood is lifting @itwasnevermine. Hang on in there.

That looks fab @NippyCrab .what a gorgeous location. Is it close to you? Dogs are so funny in the wind.

owlyboo · 18/10/2024 09:51

Lovely @NippyCrab ! Glorious morning here in Devon

MargoLivebetter · 18/10/2024 09:59

Gah, I can't keep up. Well done losers, well done plateauers as that is still not a gain. Well done gainers for not throwing in the towel and carrying on.

Mid-week weigh in for me suggests it will be another 1lb this week.

As for men, they are a different species altogether and literally just give up a biscuit and do the hoovering and they lose weight.

Loving the photos too!

owlyboo · 18/10/2024 10:40

Well done @MargoLivebetter slow and steady! Hopefully means it'll stay off long term as well!

NippyCrab · 18/10/2024 10:47

@MargoLivebetter 😂😂 they are special that's for sure 😂

@FlappingMadly it's just 10 mins drive from me, we are super lucky where we are, lots of coastal walks. I love the lugs blowing in the wind, Frank loves a wind pose haha.

Aw @owlyboo that is just gorgeous, i love a wood walk, especially the spring and autumn they are my fave seasons. It's raining and blowing a hoolie now so we made it back to the van before we got wet.

CheekySwan · 18/10/2024 10:51

My Mounjaro journey is coming to an end - I just can't handle the side effects and the monthly cost and I am only on 2.5mg.

SW 81.4
FW 71.8
GW 63

I have learnt some good eating habits, eating more protein eating less carbs, I have done a lot of research on this. I am drinking far more water (3ltr day min) and I am making sure I am getting my steps up (10,000 a day minimum). I am going to continue these with more vigour in the hope that I can shift the remaining weight through sheer hard work.

owlyboo · 18/10/2024 10:54

@CheekySwan I think that's a really sensible decision. It's not for everyone and if I was having awful side effects I would have given up a long time ago! Good luck!
