Well done everyone.

im 4 weeks in today and 20lbs down.. still loads to go.

Bibulous · 09/11/2024 09:30

End of week 3. After the first two weeks where I lost a lot it's slowed down this week with only 1lb down. That's a total loss of 17lb over three weeks which I'm happy with.

I have noticed that the appetite suppression hasn't been as effective this week. As I've now had the fourth jab from the 2.5mg pen I've ordered a 5mg pen next.

Rm2018 · 09/11/2024 10:11

Nearly 2 stone down....at what stage did people start noticing. I've been off work for a while following surgery and wonder if anyone will notice when go back.?. Hubby says you can tell but he has to lol 😂
Still got about 6 to go so need to keep motivated tho mounjaro has helped me so much, I never realised how obsessed my brain was by food and my weird food routines.

RMNofTikTok · 09/11/2024 10:20

@VelociraptorsVelociRapping

Arm has got me out of a plateau and I've reach my lowest weight again 2 days before my next injection. I've felt a bit more sick this week but I don't feel like my appetite is as suppressed. I think I'll do this weeks injection in my arm too and see what happens.

Morning all,

This week has been my biggest loss yet - 3.5lbs!!! I’m surprised - given how my losses have been super paced, to date. I have been slightly more active this week, which is possibly the only difference.

I wanted to get to 17st exactly by 17th Nov, and I now have 0.6lbs to go to that!

And while other mention delays - ASDA are too quick! My delivery was approved in three minutes yesterday, and dispatched and arrives in the next hour - luckily I will be home! Wish they allowed selected day for delivery!

TorturedParentsDepartment · 09/11/2024 10:56

I'm down to a new low on the scales this morning - 23st 2lb... my weight's been particularly up and down last week given the time of the month - so I'm kind of back of a fag packet averaging it out as about 3lb this week; combined with the pre-jab loss of my holiday weight while I was waiting to be approved which had me at 24st 13lb when I weighed at my very heaviest.

Interestingly in terms of lymphedema -I've lost 1cm around my most swollen leg (they were clearly different sizes.

Much more bearable in terms of side effects this week - could get through the day-after-jab stint at work fairly easily.

Would it be easier to pick up. You can collect from asda pharmacy they keep it for a while for you..

16 weeks in and today I've reached 3 stone loss AND BMI is now 29.9 so out of obese for the first time in a very long time.... still more than 2 stone to go to get to a healthy BMI but it is feeling like it might actually be achievable!

Brilliant news, well done.

that's good to hear, I have found swollen ankles also improved quite a lot

Yes it is, but its a bit of a trek for me! It would be far easier if they just followed their own guidelines though! They say any order approved after 4pm on a Thursday don’t get dispatched til Monday - so I figured after 3 on a Friday was a safe bet!

morbidcuriosity · 09/11/2024 11:52

@Darlinghag oh how annoying. Yes would be good if they stuck to their own rules. . I'm going to change mine once again next pen to Oushk and prob stick to them just for the fact you can choose a delivery day, fed up of the guessing when it might come. Then having to be in.

Much easier! I may consider Oushk later down the line, if Asda don’t consider maintenance plans - I don’t think I will want to come off MJ after losing the weight. The benefits otherwise I have had (no gallbladder/PCOS/possible ADHD) has been too great.

Saturday weigh in and a whopping 4lb loss this week taking me through a couple of significant milestones - 4st lost 🫢 and I am now no longer Morbidly (Class III) or Severely (Class II) obese, just plain old Obese (Class I) 🥳

Have had a little (happy) cry 🥲 and hoping you don't mind me showing off some of Excel record of my journey so far

End of week - 20 (5 x 2.5mg, 15 x 3.75mg)
SW - 21st 5lbs BMI 42.8
CW - 17st 4lbs BMI 34.6
Losses - 10,2,2,4,1,3,3,3,1,3,2,2,3,3,2,3,3,2,1,4
Total loss - 4st 1lbs (57lbs), 19%
Current Target - 17st by Christmas🎄 (6 weeks, 4lbs to go!)

With only 4lbs to go for my original Christmas target I might need to think about a couple of more pre Christmas targets <17st or I might just be happy to see 16st something on on the scales post Christmas and set my New Year targets then!

Still a long way to go with at least another 4st to lose, which I know will be much harder than the first 4st, but feeling great today😊 and with you guys keeping me company 💗 it feels more achievable 💪 than it has ever done in the past!

Well done everyone who is still here and still on the journey. 🛣️

PotatoBreadForTheWin · 10/11/2024 06:27

Amazing progress @WeAllHaveWings, very inspiring! I'm working on getting my BMI down to below 40 and still have so far to go

Darlinghag · 10/11/2024 10:58

Well done @WeAllHaveWings !!

jab day today for me, and its my first day waking up with no suppression - so feel confident 7.5mg will be my first dose that i carry through an extra month!

Yesterday I did something pretty big for me. I went to a family member’s for the afternoon and i always, always, used to stop for a maccy’s on the way home. It was a ritual. But yesterday, I went home and made my steak and mash and actually didn’t even want the maccy’s! Didn’t even consider it!!

Well done - what an achievement

And I love your graphs, I think BMI is a great thing to track as its proof how well you are doing. Is that a excel one you set up yourself?

VelociraptorsVelociRapping · 10/11/2024 12:28

Well done @WeAllHaveWings, and I am nerdily appreciating your graphs. Congratulations on being obese! 🥳

Well done all the weekend weighers. So many great losses.

Another kilo down for me bringing total loss to 16.6 kilos.

@Darlinghag I've got below 17 stone now too - 16s12lb. That's 107.4 kg. Yay for us!!

Next mini goals - to get below 105kg and to reach total loss of 20kg.

The further I get into this process the more I realise I've never been in a battle with my body. MJ shows me very clearly that all this excess weight I've been carrying all my life is totally to do with my mind, my thoughts, my internal life. The mess in my head plays out in my body.

I had a similar starting weight to you and am just coming towards the end of week 5. It's really inspiring to see your losses adding up. Well done you must feel so much better

So true. It's been a complete revelation to me. I also feel like the shame and guilt is lifting, and that the state I've got myself into isn't actually my fault. I honestly think MJ is going to change my life, which sounds dramatic but I've never thought of myself as having mental health issues before. Clearly I do, or I wouldn't need this drug. I didn't expect it to impact my emotions like it has, but I feel so much better and more stable than I did a few months ago.

alltablenochairs · 10/11/2024 15:59

Some fab losses this weekend. Well done all of you. You're all losers and I mean that in a nice way, not in an insulting way!

I've been overweight all my teen/ adult life. I know exactly why as well- I could fill several of the Stately Homes threads with the reasons. For the past 6 years though I've been dealing with fairly hard-core SEND stuff for my youngest. Fighting a fundamentally flawed and totally unfit for system for whatever crumbs of support don't exist has meant that actually, comfort eating, stress eating, eating crap and not giving a damn has been my default for too long now. I need to get rid of approx 60kg excess weight before it gets rid of me, like it almost did earlier this year. I still dont have an end goal though, just a series of interim targets.
I made the youngest some popcorn earlier and instead of having a whopping mixing bowl of the stuff myself, I had a mug full instead. That's the difference MJ is making to me.

A while ago someone posted a link to a BMI calculator that took age into account as well. Would they be able to post it again, please?

Congrats on the losses! I lost .2lbs this morning so .4lbs to go for me. When i stepped on the scale it did that hover-y thing of flicking in the 16s so i’m super hopeful it will happen this week!!

i like your next goals too! I’m aiming for 16st 7 by Christmas day. Its less than 1.5lbs a week so I think do-able, but Christmas season maybe hinder a little. Although right now, I still feel strong about not buying any more treats than normal for home. I will eat them when out or in someone else’s home but that feels more than enough.
