Delighted to hit a couple of milestones today:
Weight loss total is now 5 stone and my visceral fat is today in the standard range instead of high. 🎉🎉

SW 18st 6lbs
CW 13st 6lbs

I would never have thought I would get to this point by Christmas when I was desperate to try anything so placed my first order back at the end of May.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 16/12/2024 14:11

Whoop whoop @Snozzlemaid!! You and me both at 5 stone loss as of this morning! 🎉🎉🎉@achangeofnameisasgoodasarest fantastic! I have hopes for spring too! 🤞🤞🤞

MounjaroUser · 16/12/2024 14:16

Oh how did you lose five stone since the end of May when I've only lost 3.5 stone?! Huge congratulations. That's amazing.

MounjaroUser · 16/12/2024 14:19

Last night I was thinking about the other threads I've been on here (different username) like the low carb threads, the intermittent fasting, etc. I can't remember people losing much weight at all. The low carb threads would be started again and again and the same people would be on them. I would be there, getting more and more depressed every time. There was a sense of inevitability that I'd fail. More commonly someone would start and then within three days you'd never hear from them again. These WLI threads are so different. It's incredible, really.

LionAndEmperor13 · 16/12/2024 14:30

It really is!
I haven't been on other threads, but I've started diets SO many times only to just fizzle out and not really lose anything.

AutumnStorms11 · 16/12/2024 14:42

Yes I’d agree it’s the only one I’ve been on where people have stuck at it and got real results it’s brilliant. Well done all & it really validates for me that a missing hormone or how our body processes that hormone is the cause behind obesity when you know how to lose weight but your body is constantly fighting against it!

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 16/12/2024 16:02

That’s a really interesting observation @MounjaroUser! I realise I’d actually given up reading those threads as they were really rather depressing! MJ has reignited my lost love of MN!

Snozzlemaid · 16/12/2024 16:20

Amazing @IReallyNeedThisToWork Hope you feel as fab as I do.

These MJ thread are indeed completely different to other weight loss threads. Positive story after positive story.

It's so encouraging to be part of something so exciting.

morbidcuriosity · 16/12/2024 16:21

@Snozzlemaid well done.. when I see your name it gives me a boost as your ahead of me but same starting weight. I started August, 14.12 today..

Snozzlemaid · 16/12/2024 16:23

@MounjaroUser 3.5 stone is an amazing loss too. You should be incredibly pleased with that. Well done.

morbidcuriosity · 16/12/2024 16:59

Thank you. Yes very pleased.. and was so happy to see a 14.. . Now my sights are set on a 13. Haha.

That's 1st real goal achieved as out of obese range and now overweight.

That's fab. At 5ft 4 I've got a stone to go until I'm no longer 'obese'. Can't wait to be overweight! 😃

morbidcuriosity · 16/12/2024 18:22

It's mad isn't it.. congratulating ourselves being overweight. Haha. .
I'm 5ft10 so just tip into that category. Think healthy is 12.8 or something. I don't think I will ever be that, think 13 and a half for me is the goal.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 16/12/2024 20:55

I’m a mere 5ft2 but I am now only THREE POUNDS from not being obese!!!! Having started MJ with a bmi of 43.2, this seems unbelievable!

Being ‘overweight’ will hopefully be my Christmas present to myself! 🎁🎁🎁

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 19/12/2024 17:44

Week 26 weigh in…

And down 4lbs this week!!

Today is my 6th monthiversary on MJ!! I have hit my MJ 5st and am now only 1lb away from getting out of the obese zone 😱

Fast 800 SW: 17 st 7lbs
MJ SW: 16st 12lbs
CW: 11st 10lbs

Snozzlemaid · 19/12/2024 18:10

I lost 4 lbs this week too somehow. I don't feel I've done anything differently this week, but shows just how random weight loss can be sometimes.
SW 18st 6lbs
CW 13st 4 lbs

I had a rough time on 10mg for a few weeks but it's all settled down again now I've dropped back to 7.5mg so think I'll be staying here for some time.

It'll be interesting to see how the weigh in goes next week on Boxing Day. I'm aiming to enjoy a smaller Xmas dinner than usual and not snack as much as I usually would do.

Brilliant.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 19/12/2024 19:46

@Snozzlemaid yeah, bit worried about the scales on Boxing Day 😬 Am out for meals 3 x over the next few days as well as Christmas Day so will have to take some thoughtful food decisions!

Congrats on your super loss, weigh day buddy!

Sewfrickinamazeballs · 19/12/2024 21:27

@IReallyNeedThisToWork this is amazing! Well done.

@Snozzlemaid same here, normally Xmas is a gorge-fest.

Quiet on here, I suspect everyone is super busy with Xmas prep. Hope everyone has a lovely restful time. Reflecting on where I was back in early May, my mum had passed a few weeks before after a very short but traumatic illness, I was eating and drinking like no tomorrow, caught a sight of myself on holiday and something just clicked. I don't think I could have done this without MJ, I genuinely think this would have been impossible...but I also think you lovely lot have helped enormously too. I feel I'm being held to account by the least judgmental bunch of folk. Thank you everyone. X

SW 17st 7.4
CW 12st 3.5

Total loss 73 lb (5st 4)

Snozzlemaid · 19/12/2024 21:33

I was on holiday too at the end of May and was just so miserable with myself, I just had to do something. I decided my options were SW or trying WLI. I don't like the whole SW thing so decided on MJ.
Best decision I've ever made.

LionAndEmperor13 · 19/12/2024 23:42

@Snozzlemaid same. Went on a beach holiday at Easter and was so shocked by the photos of me. I'm so happy now.

AutumnStorms11 · 20/12/2024 06:35

Another one here who was on a sporty holiday with family and couldn’t keep up any more and was really fed up I felt very old and fat and miserable. I refused photos offering to take them instead. I also felt sad then that my teens would remember that version of me. Now I’m wearing a size 12 my bmi is 25 and I’m running 3x a week and feeling so much fitter again. I’ve got the old me back well a smaller version of her!
I’m nervous that I’m definitely moving into maintenance phase but my sweet tooth is creeping back in again. My treat has been a boiled sweet as “pudding” but the last few weeks it’s been yogurt plus 2-3 sweets or a mince pie or chocolate which is creeping back in. I had pretty much given up chocolate just hadn’t craved it at all but I feel it’s lurking there like a shadow constantly waiting and will be my downfall if i let it in once the MJ has left my system. I’ve got 3 more weeks on 2.5mg to go.

some fantastic losses on here and I hope Xmas week of food isn’t too hard to navigate. I’m off for an early run now to bank some calories for later.

Megarea · 20/12/2024 18:05

Third dose of third 10mg pen today.
SW 252.6 lb
CW 200.4 lb
Total loss: 52.2 lbs
Slight gain of 0.8 lbs but not worrying about it.

JomonotFomo · 21/12/2024 08:50

Weighed in at 11st 7 today. So I think that’s 1lb off?

SW 15st 12
CW 11st 7

Zava requested new pictures this time so had to send them off.

coffeeandteav · 21/12/2024 08:56

4lbs off this week but have had the flu. It is awful. I have had no appetite. Had to miss a jab too as I was so ill.
Flu has been the only thing that surpresses my appetite other than MJ.

My BMI is 26. I was 11.8 this morning. Ideally I would like to lose another stone and a half. I have two pens in the fridge. I haven't bought anymore yet.

I definitely need to start exercising but I am so weak and not over flu yet. So that will be for January.
I am at the 4 stone loss.

I will probably have to start at 2.5 if I am
taking two weeks off over Christmas. I was only going to skip one week but with being ill it will have to be two.

I am interested in how much I gain over Christmas and with no jab.
I do feel a bit saggy though.

Merry Christmas Moun Juners.
