I made a wonderful moussaka this evening.

When I looked at it, I realised that before MJ, I would've easily eaten half of it. Maybe more.

But I just about managed a quarter.
😂

Gazelda · 11/11/2024 18:42

Feeling quite discombobulated here.

I've lost nearly 3.5 stone over 6ish months. My boobs have shrunk. Bras are far too big. But I don't want to buy more because I've still got at least 2st to lose and they're bound to shrink more.

I told DH today that my bras no longer fit. I sort of hoped he'd say "oh darling, I'll buy you some new lingerie now and some more when you reach your goal"

Did he say that. No. He said "maybe you should stuff some cotton wool or folded kitchen towel down there".

Hmmff.

Sewfrickinamazeballs · 11/11/2024 20:44

@Newme24 excellent loss, well done. Also, what nosey Parker's! I cant imagine asking anyone if they are taking medication for anything!

@AutumnStorms11 family politics is the worst. I obviously don't know the situation but I wonder if they have gotten used to you being the 'fat' one and because this changes their perception of their identity (the skinny ones), they don't know how to respond or adapt.

@Callmejudith I agree, they are being discussed everywhere. I find it fascinating how people can have such strong feelings about what people use to change their appearance when this categorically does not impact them one jot......and yet this strength of opinion is not consistent (think about Botox.....it's not as vilified as MJ yet is purely for cosmetic reasons....or maybe it was and is just now more accepted).

@TheShellBeach oooh, moussaka. Fab idea for dinner this week, thanks!

@Gazelda I swapped my baggy over the shoulder boulder holders for some of those stretchy crop top things. Hoping these will tide me over and shrink with me until I settle.

Sewfrickinamazeballs · 11/11/2024 20:51

Made a boo boo and forgot to message Voy and ask for a 10 or 12, they have just dispatched a 15! Just thinking about the side effects of this when I'm just getting over the day of nausea on Jab day on the 10mg dose makes my belly wobble. So I'm going to use the bonus dose from my current 12.5 mg pen for another 10mg dose, then just take 10mgs from the new pen (or slightly increase if I need to).

AutumnStorms11 · 11/11/2024 22:09

That did me smile @Gazelda but seriously can you pick up a couple of smaller bras in Tesco or Asda to keep you going? It’s nice to feel more secure and comfortable. I bought two smaller cheap ones once I’d dropped a band and cup size. I was very big to start with and now they just seem like deflated balloons but so much less neck pain plus running is a lot easier!

Splendud · 12/11/2024 09:30

I flipping did it! I have been using MFP since 2014 and today I weigh less than I did when I started logging in 2014. I am officially the lightest I have been since September 2014!

Total loss is 47lb (55 including the loss I banked before starting MJ).

So blummin happy today

AutumnStorms11 · 12/11/2024 09:59

WellDone @Splendud that brillant, I’m also a fellow intermittent user of MFP and it told me the other day I was lighter than 10yrs ago it’s a great feeling.

Snozzlemaid · 12/11/2024 12:07

NSV for me this morning.
I have a chair supplied from work for working at home and the back has never supported my back properly.
I realised this morning the back needed to be raised up a bit and when I did this the curved bit now sits comfortably in the small of my back!!
Took me a while to realise why. At first I thought something had changed on the chair then I realised no, it was my fat backside getting in the way before. I'm now sitting further back with proper back support.

Callmejudith · 12/11/2024 12:16

@Splendud that's absolutely brilliant well done!

@Snozzlemaid I love that - I bet your back will feel so so much better now too. Love a good chair!

First go at 12:8 was ok yesterday though I had too many coffees during the fast window. Today I'm doing 10-6 eating as I'm at the theatre tonight.

NSV - the new bras I bought a month ago, which were tight and uncomfortable to start with, now fasten easily on the middle set of hooks.

I've just bought six of the next size down.
😂

I was doing 16:8 yesterday, but gave up when a load of bubble gums were delivered.

And just to confound things, I lost 1lb overnight, despite eating loads of them.
🤣

Brilliant @TheShellBeach
Love the buying of new smaller clothes.

I desperately needed a new coat so bought a cheap one from Amazon to do me whilst I am this size. They suggested a 3xl would be the best fit based on my order history but I purchased and fit into a large!

Yes, I'm sick of clothing websites advising me to buy size 24, or 4XL.

THEY'RE ALL WRONG!

It's the same story with the bras.

They think I'm a 44.

Not any longer. I'm in a 38 now.

TheShellBeach · 12/11/2024 13:40

Goodness! I got the size 14 jeans on.

They look a bit tight, so I'm sticking with the 16s for now, but I'm amazed I got them on and they did up.

@Callmejudith since you're always encouraging me to buy more clothes, should I now get the size 14s in black and indigo?

You know. As a little present for myself?

🤣

AutumnStorms11 · 12/11/2024 13:48

Loving the wins and I just had one that’s got me buzzing. When I started back in May-June my goals were lose 40lbs, run a comfy 5k and try to get to 10k …well I just did it a virtually non-stop 10k run in 70mins which I’m so proud of as that’s the first time in 4yrs + I’ve done that. It’s been a year plus clawing back my running slowly slowly building up as my older body took ages to adjust again. So don’t give up ladies we can get to our goals!

AutumnStorms11 · 12/11/2024 13:49

Buy those jeans @TheShellBeach i did it and although mine are a little tight and I prefer the other size for now if I drop this last 7lbs they will be comfy.

I didn't actually need any persuading. 🤣

@TheShellBeach buy buy buy! Black and indigo jeans are must haves for the winter

Newme24 · 12/11/2024 18:02

@JomonotFomo woohoo that's incredible. You must be so happy. Hope you smash your 4 stone target this week coming. That's brilliant 🙌

daffodilandtulip · 13/11/2024 07:11

Both my newest pairs of work leggings are in the wash so today I'm wearing comedy leggings that tuck over my bra. (The bra that also needs replacing!)

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 13/11/2024 10:14

Congrats all on recent losses and NSVs! @daffodilandtulip that image has really made me chuckle! 😁 And I know exactly what you mean.
Having a bit of a rough time at the moment with a bereavement but MJ is stopping comfort eating/ falling into a bottle of wine (or2!) so I’m just plodding on.

Weigh in day tomorrow but got on the scales this morning and am 3 lbs down so fingers crossed that can hold till then!

No idea why the above is all in bold! Am trialling the new app and it does some weird stuff sometimes!!
