Well I’ve just had a massive fish pie. Supression? What’s that then?
Haven’t had any time or privacy to do my jab yet.

I relate to this so much

Alwayshockey · 04/10/2024 19:46

FlappingMadly · 04/10/2024 19:36

Not at checkout?

I don't get a checkout page? When the subscription renews every 4 weeks, it just bills me automatically. No basket, no checkout, no nothing. I can cancel but nothing else, I've clicked all round the website just now trying to find anywhere I can use a code and there's just nothing. I feel I'm in some kind of personal Voy twilight zone for suckers who don't get offers. If I log in not as me , the ongoing price is £200 but my ongoing price is £229......

So does anyone else worry that after all this when they stop, that they will go back to being overweight and unhappy because the 'food noise' will be back? I've lost 13kg and have another 11 to go and I've loved not craving the sweet stuff.

I hope we'll have been so long without eating like that it will be the norm... plus I'm so determined this will
be 'it' that I won't allow myself to 🤞

Wingingit11 · 04/10/2024 19:57

I can see myself on maintenance plan for a while because honestly, it’s like my eyes have been opened to a way of life not monopolised by food and feeling shit

I haven't weighed this week as last week's 4th 5mg dose didn't work. I've had good suppression and feeling full quickly up until that jab. It was like I'd never had a single drop of mounjaro. Annoying as I'd already received another 5mg pen as it was working well. I did get a very itchy, puffy patch where I'd injected on my stomach.

Did my bonus dose yesterday and got 0.7ml out (so 5.8mg) and injected my leg instead of stomach and it's worked very well. I was planning on doing 3 x 7.5mg doses from my 5mg pen but now I don't think I need to?!

I have resigned myself to having to be on some sort of drug for the rest of my life - if this works long term it’s worth it.

Me too. It's just so different not constantly thinking about food or wanting to snack even when not hungry, or overeating.

itwasnevermine · 04/10/2024 19:59

Oh my good god

My pen would not twist for the bonus no matter how hard I tried. My hands were just slipping I could not get it to go at all

I've only gone and bloody injected myself with an insulin needle!!! I can't believe it. As someone who cried after the first jab I cannot believe that I did that!!! I think from now on with this strange combo of 6.25, I'll just insulin needle it to get it all out

@itwasnevermine it was just one night. I bet it isn’t as bad as you think it was. We’ve got so used to living on air anything approaching a real meal seems excessive. Though in my case it was.

itwasnevermine · 04/10/2024 20:03

@FlappingMadly I do think that it's totally changed my approach to food. A handful of fries and two sausage rolls (homemade and they were worth every calorie) feels awful to me now

I'd also happily go into a maintenance plan. The amount of money I save in unneeded food/wine pays for it!

lookathatbookcase · 04/10/2024 20:10

I'm hopeful that I'm retraining my eating habits, and that keeping on a high-protein diet will also help with feeling sated. But if there's a lower dose maintanance plan available by the time I'm at GW, I'd also be ok with that.

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/10/2024 20:11

Insulin needles are so thin. Don't notice it tbh

I've had 1/4 of a pizza. 2 slices

Would usually eat all 8

Hangs head in shame

Had a thought to think @itwasnevermine / are you the one going away at weekend

Can you withdrawal that dose out to take with you

So rest of pen stays cold in fridge

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/10/2024 20:11

Yes the maintenance dose seem to be 15 🙀🙀🙀

Not going away for another six weeks now but that's a great idea!!!

I think that most people I've seen online that are on a maintenance come back down the doses when at goal but I could be wrong. I think 15 is called maintenance online as that the maintenance dose you reach when in active losing

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/10/2024 20:20

So we go up. Lose the weight. Then go down

And hopefully don't gain the weight

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/10/2024 20:21

@itwasnevermine Ah was someone going next weekend I think

But that might work for them

Sorry can't R.E.M. who it was now

Me too. I have so much more weight to lose but just the 20 lbs that I have lost so far has been so beneficial physically and emotionally. For me, it's worth it.

20bloodypounds · 04/10/2024 20:30

@Bellyblueboy you (we) might be on this medication longterm, however some of the preliminary results show a cardioprotective effect, plus positive effects on blood sugar and blood pressure. So that's a load of other potential medication we might not be on for life.

@owlyboo money-wise and health-wise this is saving me from alcohol.

@itwasnevermine well done on that injection. I did my first one today too when my hard twist didn't work. What a difference from the shaking, hyperventilating first dose of MJ.

owlyboo · 04/10/2024 20:38

@20bloodypounds it's weird with alcohol isn't it! I was terrible pre MJ for week time drinking and now I only have a drink on a fri and sat and could not then apart from I want the little treat, I'm still not craving it like I used to!

poppym12 · 04/10/2024 20:43

Is anyone else experiencing rubbish sleep? It might not be connected to the mounjaro but I'm waking a lot each night then waking up stupidly early (5am) and feeling wretched all day. I have had a really busy period (house move) but my sleep has seemed a bit off since I started mounjaro mid august.

poppym12 · 04/10/2024 20:46

I've had emails from Voy saying there's a 44% off sale or something. I haven't paid much attention to it as I cancelled with them a while ago. Their offer isn't enough to tempt me back.
