Titty Kisses!!!! I thought maybe it was when your boobs shrink and fit into clothes nicely again 🤣🤣

itwasnevermine · 01/10/2024 07:34

Really feel like giving up

I'd got down to 18s13.7, which felt like a huge win. I'm now back at 19st0.7, despite having eaten in a deficit. I don't get it

AnnieMcFanny · 01/10/2024 07:38

I’ve had my 4th dose of my first 5mg pen and it’s still working really well. I’m so glad I decided on my 3rd pen also being a 5mg one. As regards to side effects I have the occasional feeling of heart burn but that wears off 3 days after taking the dose.

In brief I’m in a great place right now in lifevand I’m happy. I’m looking forward to weighing myself when I get home from my travels on Sunday. It will be 2.5 weeks since my last weigh in.

AnnieMcFanny · 01/10/2024 07:43

@itwasnevermine thats only 14 ounces. It could even be you just need to go to the bathroom.

Do yourself a favour and give yourself a talking to. 💪🏻

I know exactly how you're feeling. It's a horrible place to be! Flowers

itwasnevermine · 01/10/2024 07:55

@WitchDancer @AnnieMcFanny it's hard, I felt like I had finally found the solution, then I've been poorly and even though I've been eating in a deficit it definitely wasn't the best food all the time, and now I'm paying the price for it. I just feel so bad

@Blondeshavemorefun sorry posted too soon, for example I can’t think I’ve ever felt “full” like others say but then I’m starting to wonder if “full” just means “not hungry” rather than about to be sick from food !

A few days ago I was adding salt to my evening meal for the second time when it struck me it wasn’t that my meal needed salt - I just wasn’t hungry.

I never add salt to meals at the table due to stage 1 BP and it was a real light bulb moment.

I’ve also had a NSV - a winter coat I tried on here at home in the UK was snug 10 days ago but yesterday I was able to fasten it and wear it for the day. I even caught a glimpse of myself in a shop window and was pleased with what I saw. I’m looking forward to the scales on Sunday.

owlyboo · 01/10/2024 08:01

@AnnieMcFanny what a great feeling!!

@itwasnevermine is that your weekly weigh in or are you weighing daily? I will regularly go up even by as much as 1-2kg. If you weight daily you have to have the resilience to ignore the number until proper weigh day. I'm always heavier at the start of the week as I up exercise more than the weekend again which always causes a short term gain.

AnnieMcFanny · 01/10/2024 08:10

@itwasnevermine you’re doing great. You’re fed up because you’ve been ill and it’s affecting how you’re looking at things. I don’t know if you work but when you have time to yourself today have a really nice shower and wash your hair then be kind to yourself and have a bit of a pamper. It’s what I do when I’ve had a virus and it’s like washing the remnants of it down the drain. And you know, having a pamper session can even be about just moisturising from head to foot. It doesn’t have to be nails etc. And when you’re moisturising just give yourself a wee bit of love and tell yourself that you deserve it. Because you do. You’re doing great.

UniqueLemonOrca · 01/10/2024 08:14

I've just started pen 3 and am staying with 5mg but administered in two 2.5mg doses 3.5 day apart. It's working well and is keeping the nausea under control and I have more than enough suppression.

I'm going on a swimming holiday next week where I'll be swimming about 5km a day. Usually this is doable but am worried about having enough energy - I'm considering dropping down to 2.5mg so I can eat a full meal in the evenings. Has anyone else dropped their dose and gone back up again without any problems?

Excellent explanation 😂

itwasnevermine · 01/10/2024 08:17

@owlyboo first time weighing in a few days, I think I'm going to put the scales away for a while

@AnnieMcFanny that's good advice 🩷

Weight does go up and during the week

Which is why I don't daily weighing helps

It's only a lb so hopefully by wi day it would have gone

If it is wi day then sorry for the gain 💐

MargoLivebetter · 01/10/2024 09:08

😂titty kisses!!!!! Really made me chuckle.

@itwasnevermine so many wise words from other posters. Hang in there. Remember you didn't gain weight in a matter of weeks or even months. You have to give yourself time to lose it and be kind and patient with yourself. I'm guessing each and everyone of us on here has dieted before and given up and here we are again. Sending you lots of 'keeping the faith' wishes.

Bless you, I know exactly how you feel. Your weight does weird things on a day to day basis. Annoyingly, weight loss isn't a smooth linear reduction every day. Onwards and upwards, you got this!

poppym12 · 01/10/2024 09:42

I'm fed up too. I've lost 1.6kg in the 3 weeks I've been on 5mg and this is despite eating even less than I have been and moving way more (house move has been chaotic). I suppose it's a case of trust the process but it's difficult when you think you're doing all the right things but not seeing much happening.

FlappingMadly · 01/10/2024 09:52

@itwasnevermine that is a tiny gain likely caused by inflammation when you were ill. We all fluctuate - so many things can cause it.
Don’t give up. You’re doing fine.

FlappingMadly · 01/10/2024 09:56

@poppym12 moving more than usual can also stalll with a kind of inflammation but you will reap the rewards with a whoosh if you stay on course. Plus remember to measure yourself! We lose differently to men.

MargoLivebetter · 01/10/2024 09:56

That's still a loss @poppym12 . Moving is so stressful. You should be congratulating yourself on not losing the plot altogether and stuffing your face with chocolate! (That's what I probably would have done.)

FlappingMadly · 01/10/2024 10:08

I made myself have a shake for breakfast but suppression is good. I’m going to stay on 5 for the next jab and am jumping through hoops with Voy to take advantage of their sale. Anyone spotted other good deals?

That's 3.5lbs so a lb a week

52 lbs a year is just under 4 stone (56)

Arraminta · 01/10/2024 10:25

I'm down another 0.5lbs this morning! Tiny wins and all that. I'm losing it more slowly than I had hoped but consoling myself that if it's slow to come off, it's more likely to stay off long term. You're teaching your body to learn and adjust to it's new 'stay point'. I really want my body to fully accept that my new stay point will be at least 30lbs lighter than it had previously been used to.

poppym12 · 01/10/2024 10:41

Very good points @FlappingMadly, @MargoLivebetter and @Blondeshavemorefun.

It is stressful - especially as I'm also on crutches at the moment. I had 2 squares of dark chocolate last week but didn't particularly enjoy them. Times like this I'd be reaching for the biscuits but I haven't. Thank you Flowers.

With packing, moving and deep cleaning I have used muscles I'd forgotten I had so inflammation is a good point. I can't do any more today as I feel bloody awful (I have ME and think I've really overdone it).

@poppym12 wowsers! Put your feet up and have a rest day 💐
Look after yourself.

itwasnevermine · 01/10/2024 11:30

Thanks all, the point re inflammation is a good one, plus I've been in no mood to drink water! So that's probably why, it's just a blow to see a gain on the scales
