I've just started this morning after months of research. Feeling nervous but excited. Any other new or existing users want to join support and share successes?

Asda didn't give me any swabs - do you think that matters?

@Morecoffeeforme Mine came in a whacking great brown box (30cm x 30cm x 20cm) due to all the insulation. The label said it came from somewhere medical , I can't remember exactly what, but it was small and discreet and didn't mention the company it actually came from.

Just taken my first jab three hours ago. Feel nothing and worried it won't work. I've been pounding away at the gym for the last 3 months and only eating 2 meals a day. No weight loss thanks to perimenopause and thyroid issues. I'm praying for a result with this!

The instructions are to swab the pen and your skin prior to injecting, using a separate alcohol wipe for each.

I’m menopause now and it just doesn’t want to shift what’s that all about definitely hormone related on day 3 fingers crossed so far. Only symptoms very dry mouth and no appetite it’s a very strange feeling not thinking about food. Even stood in works canteen looked at food turned away and didn’t think about it again so so weird. Now is it just in my mind or real I’m not sure as a person who works in medicine I’m confused

To be honest since researching this at the weekend I have struggled to sleep, felt very cold and frequently nauseous. Now I'm not saying it's psychosomatic but am not actually taking the first jab until later!

This is me! Still waiting for medexpress to approve mind you hoping they will. Been working out 5 days a week, salad for lunch, no snacking, light dinners and nothing, no weight loss whatsoever and stomach is huge 😔 Peri menopausal and thyroid stuff at play too. Fingers crossed it works for us both!

Order arrived at work, very plain packaging. Just told anyone who asked that it was a food delicacy gift for a friend to explain it. It just had a sticker on that said it was perishable.
Injected as soon as I got home, and currently feel fine. Didn’t feel a thing, injected into my thigh.

My husband started yesterday, and I have been in on it for 3 months with a 2 stone loss so far, and 2 stone more to go. husband has around 7 stone to lose!

Now we have matching Voy cases with our pens in the fridge - just need to make sure we I next with the right dosage!

So far my side effects have been some constipation and an almost absolute loss of hunger - realised at 9pm last night I'd not eaten anything apart from an apple for breakfast! Took my first 7.5mg on Friday so quite pleased with the increased appetite suppression!

On day 5 here… I realised today I just don’t fancy anything. I am eating well but got home from work and spent ages wondering if I wanted a tuna salad or soup. I didn’t fancy anything. Still enjoying my wine though but have definitely cut down.

By the way, there is a separate thread for codes for various companies, they tend to be for new customers only, so probably wasted posting on this thread where most of us have already started. Someone used my code so am really chuffed I will save £40 off my next order. Worth posting there if you haven’t already.

Hi, just done my first week and lost 4.5 lbs! Normally when I start a diet it's ages before people notice but I've had 3 people comment already which was a shock at a relatively small loss. It's definitely been the easiest weight loss I've had but I have noticed my appetite returning the last 2 days so I'm ready for the next dose now.

I read the thread for people starting in August - they are 2, 3 or 4 weeks ahead. I thought it was very encouraging to see their weight losses. Someone had suggested having a supply of travel sickness pills in case of nausea. I've put them on my shopping list for tomorrow and I feel much less anxious knowing that if I do feel nauseous I'll be able to do something about it.

I bought in a whole load of mint tea for the same reason.

Anyone used Care Pharmacy? I'm just starting out.

Hardly slept at all last night, not sure if it was the injection……or just one of those nights I have every now and again. Leg
feels a little achy, but otherwise currently feel ok.

Good luck to all who have started. It's lovely to have support on this thread. No side effects and I've had zero food noise. I had a chicken salad for lunch yesterday and then some chicken for tea although I could have easily not eaten. I have packed two full fat protein yogurts for work today and an drinking a minimum 3l water.

I slept so deeply. I woke at one point with reflux (this is not uncommon for me). But I felt so tired, like my eyelids were glued together, and before I could take a Rennie tablet I was back asleep. This morning I woke as my husband got out of bed, I mumbled something to him, then fell back into another sleep with wild crazy dreams.

First one done last night. No ill effects so far. Lovely DH sat with me as I did as moral support. He has also asked me how I would like him to behave in terms of food and drink so I have asked for no more offers of crisps, glass of wine in the evening nor bites of cake when he has one. He has also asked if it is ok for him to have ice creams etc in front of me because if not he will stop eating them. Feeling very supported !

I've completed my first week and I am 2.1kg down. So chuffed! Second dose of 2.5mg taken. This time the injection stung a bit when whereas last time I didn't even feel it. I wonder why.

The last few days were harder and I'm still feeling quite hungry today, I hope the food suppression kicks in soon for this week.

I’ve been reading but have decided to join in. I’ve lost weight before through calorie counting and low carb but guess what, it goes back in again. I can’t get to a healthy weight before I run out of impetus with the diet.

I’m 41, was a chubby kid and then a fat adult. I peaked after my child was born, lost weight but it’s crept back up again.

30/08/2024 - 122.5kg
03/09/2025 - 120.9kg, first dose 2.5 of MJ

Lost - 1.6kg

Goal - to be in the healthy BMI range (70.3kg)
