I've just started this morning after months of research. Feeling nervous but excited. Any other new or existing users want to join support and share successes?

So I woke up last night feeling g so hot! Partner said it was cold, very unexpected side effect. I'm not feeling queasy yet so that's good after yesterday morning, but time will tell. Lower back still sore but I think it's from lifting my toddler yesterday. I stepped on the scales this morning out of interest and I'm 6lbs down in 2 days?!!? I know some of this will be just because of meals, end of day start of day etc but still a bit difference for me! My trousers which are usually tight are also loose. Maybe beginners luck but exciting nonetheless. Going to make sure I eat slightly more today as felt a bit rough by the end of the day due to not eating much.

@SacreBleugh I used Pharmacy2U, because - big name, and I liked their pricing structure. They seemed very thorough, though it maybe that all online suppliers follow the same process. I had to upload 2 photos - a full body pic in tight clothing (leggings and t shirt) I took mine in a mirror, plus close up of my face whilst holding up photo ID. They will tell your GP. The pack arrived the day after approval. Very well packed in an insulated cool pack. I got the pen, a box of needles and swabs, and a sharps bin. Loads of info and instructions, and I got an email from Pharmacy2U with a link to the manufacturers site with video instructions on how to inject. * *

Definitely plan so that your are getting your recommended calories in every day! I think this drug masks hunger to the point where we could eat too little. I feel like it's an odd problem to have to be on a diet and trying to eat more, but we will fare much better in the long run if we do this healthily and nutritiously! I've found that if I'm dipping low on calories then a handful of nuts or a bit of peanut butter is helping to get healthy calories in.

No repeat of my weird palpitations last night so that's good... I'm feeling really positive this morning which I think is a combination of eating very low upf and also having stepped on the scales and being 3.5lbs down (likely water and food weight)... my aim is for 1.5-2lbs a week in the longer run, but the first week is a bit of a bonus week so I'm happy with that!

I'm also feeling very clear headed and a bit more focused... hard to know if this is the drug or a side effect of eating more healthily. Anyone else feeling brain effects that go further than just food cravings?

Heading off on a campervan holiday today so we'll see how I go with an increase in meals out.

Loving all the posts and motivation!

I've applied today. How long did it take you all to get approved?

I ordered from Oushk. Took 3 days from ordering to receiving the medication (ordered Monday night, approved on the Tuesday, dispatched on the Wednesday, received on Thursday)!

acaciabluebell · 04/09/2024 10:31

Hi guys. So I'm coming up to the end of my first week on Mounjaro 2.5mg, tomorrow is my injection day.

The first 3 days I had definite apettite suppression but yesterday and today not as much. Last night I was intensely craving sweet stuff late at night, although I didn't cave I didn't enjoy the feeling. Today I have woken up feeling completely normal! Just wondering if anyone experiences the same?

Sometimes weight fluctuates up and down based on things like hydration, I weighed myself on day 3 and was stunned at the weight loss but today (day 6) it's gone back up again slightly. The overall trend is more accurate for sure. But it's so encouraging seeing the numbers go down!

EJA24 · 04/09/2024 11:17

I used Cloud pharmacy. Uploaded photos etc on Wednesday night, approved and shipped Thursday, received Friday. They gave 2 extra needles so ok for the bonus dose(?) if there’s extra meds left in pen like others have mentioned. Had to order sharps bin and swabs separately x

20bloodypounds · 04/09/2024 12:46

So I've done my first injection. I was feeling sick and shaky waiting for the delivery, and during the injection. I was so nervous. It feels quite scary putting something into my body that will be active (for good or bad) for a week, unlike a pill that you can just stop taking if you have any side effects.

I wondered about the timing of starting now because I've got a lunch out tomorrow, family dinner on Friday, another lunch out next Tuesday, then a campervan holiday which will potentially involve some nice meals. But that is probably why I find it difficult to loose weight! If I don't start now, then I'll keep on finding excuses.

raspberrymeringue · 04/09/2024 13:09

@20bloodypounds Well done, how are you feeling right now? Were they any immediate side effects? I was going to do my first last night but a few tales of sleepless nights after an evening jab put me off. Then again this morning, but my DH said why didn't I leave it until Sunday afternoon as I have a girls weekend away. Like you, my social life is definitely part of the problem Ugh...

Morecoffeeforme · 04/09/2024 13:28

Hello can I join too please.

I’ve ordered and had it approved so hoping it arrives quickly.

is it obvious on the delivery as I haven’t told my husband and worried about what he might think. He doesn’t struggle with his weight so I think he thinks I should have more willpower.

My BMI is 31 and I need to lose 4 stone

How long did it take before it kicked in for you all after the first injection?

Elephantino · 04/09/2024 13:33

Day 4 I had an awful disrupted sleep last night. Used a glycerine suppository and managed to go to the loo!

My weight has gone down 4.2lbs however as I weigh daily I'm aware this can change again just as quickly.

Side effects for me so far are:
Feeling cold
Constipation
Disrupted sleep

I've fallen into a pattern of fasting after dinner till 1pm as I just don't feel the need to eat in mornings (normal for me) lunch and main meal. No snacks..that's the amazing part.

Mosmam · 04/09/2024 13:36

I ordered 4am Monday morning from Voy and pen has just arrived. I am feeling very nervous all of a sudden and can't decide when to take the first dose. Need to lose 5 stone so this is going to be a long journey. Good luck to all the other newbies out there - let's do this Smile

My first dose hasn't arrived yet- due between 8 and 12 via Royal Mail. So nervous I have just eaten two squares of chocolate. Really worried it won't arrive properly and I'll get the rubbish we tried to deliver but you weren't on message when I am sitting by the door like a springer spaniel

I feel OK, ate some omelette for lunch - felt just as normal. Fingers crossed that I stay this way.

SunshineAutumn · 04/09/2024 14:44

I've been approved!!! Wooo hooo

SpiderMother · 04/09/2024 15:11

Hello. I’ve also been approved today so waiting for delivery now. I’m also really nervous about the possibility of side effects - I was planning to do a solid month of dieting to see if I could make progress myself first but realised that I could end up just below 30 BMI and not be eligible, and I’m ok at losing a couple of pounds but can’t sustain it and keep gaining. So time so do something meaningful.

My only concern is a three night city break in 10 days time with my daughter. Don’t want to spoil it by feeling ill or not being able to eat anything. But I also don’t want to wait another 2 weeks without starting.

spinningisthebest · 04/09/2024 15:36

It's arrived!!! Not before eating a piece of toast though on top of the chocolate Confused will do first jab tonight. Came very quickly from oushk and was easy process.
