I actually cut out a LOT of carbs from my diet in my first week, so a lot of that weight could just be water weight coming off, but I still kept some carbs in as I wanted this to be a change of habit and sustainable. Last week my diet consisted of: eggs, stir fry, salmon, cheese, salads, avocados, a few peanuts, lots of water, chicken.
No bread/pasta/potatoes, but that's simply because i have no desire for them either.
Very odd how Mounjaro has just switched off something in my brain. I LOVE my coffee, but i can only manage 2 cups a day now and even then i don't finish it. no fizzy drinks either, i have just gone off it. Instead, I have been reaching for my water bottle (believe me when i say that I hardly ever drank water before Mounjaro).
I have lots of chocolate in the cupboards for the kids, but I have no desire whatsoever to eat it. It feels quite odd and now I'm beginning to understand how 'normal' people eat. I could never understand how my housemates at university could just take a square of chocolate and put the rest in the kitchen cupboard and forget they had it. If that was me, it would all be eaten in one go. I am a pure sugar addict and have been for as long as i can remember, but why do i no longer desire it? what's going on?
This week is already looking like its going to be harder to lose, so I'm going to have to get out and get a lot of steps in and do some workouts at home.
