I've just started this morning after months of research. Feeling nervous but excited. Any other new or existing users want to join support and share successes?

Stupid that I didn’t check it before, it’s not exactly hidden is it 🙈 I just don’t expect companies to send out pharmaceuticals that have expired. It was from Manual btw.

Sadteacher · 08/09/2024 16:14

@Nomdejeur a lot have had their expiry dates extended after further testing, so I wouldn’t worry. Why did you stop taking it last time?

SilenceInside · 08/09/2024 16:22

@Nomdejeur that lot number for a 2.5mg pen had its expiry date extended eg see this website:

raspberrymeringue · 08/09/2024 16:23

@Morecoffeeforme I was the same and found the suppression almost instant, so I was also wondering if it is some kind of placebo effect. Day 3 for me and still zero hunger pangs though. I could eat a chocolate biscuit but the urge isn't the same, and honestly before I'd struggle to stop at one.

InfoSecInTheCity · 08/09/2024 13:47

Yes it's an excel spreadsheet i created, I love a good spreadsheet 😂

Me too! What a great idea. I have struggled to find a free app that shows me exactly the kind of information I want.

HOL2024 · 08/09/2024 14:41

I have the fit track scales so use the app they came with to track calories and weight. It’s really user friendly.

I think I've seen these before and wondered about buying some new scales. Do you think they're worth the money? And do you find they're quite accurate. At the moment, I can weigh myself three times in a row and I'll have different results so I have to take an average.

InfoSecInTheCity · 08/09/2024 17:26

@LucyBnotG then I shall confess my true geekiness and show you the rest ☺️ I have it set up so I just update the daily weight, then that fills in my main page which shows my weight in every type of measurement, how much I've lost week to week, how much left to lose to hit my goals and what date I hit specific goals like half a stone gone or 10% bodyweight gone.

Yes found them to be real good, they match the scales at the health club I sometimes force myself to go to.

Nice to see the metrics like fat/muscle although not sure how accurate they are.

doodleschnoodle · 08/09/2024 17:56

If anyone else wants that kind of data but isn't a spreadsheet fan, the Happy Scale app does loads of stuff like this, it's really good.

Tailrunner · 08/09/2024 18:00

Hi, hope it's okay for me to join the thread. I've been thinking about trying Mounjaro for a while and did the order yesterday so I'm am just waiting for it to be approved. I'm nervous, partly about the side effects but also about whether it will work for me. I don't want to tell many people about so having this thread will be great. I just want to get started now so hopefully the order won't take too long!

HippoPortlyMouse · 08/09/2024 18:03

@InfoSecInTheCity are you me? Grin I too love a spreadsheet and have made one similar. I weigh daily and chart my progress based on daily and rolling weekly average, (to try and smooth out those days where I randomly put on 2lbs overnight).

It was a good way to focus my energy when I was slightly freaking out about side effects and would MJ work for me and so on. It's nice to see the lines starting to move downwards!

LucyBnotG · 08/09/2024 18:12

@InfoSecInTheCity @HippoPortlyMouse I love that I'm not the only one into data and spreadsheets. The one posted is super impressive. My skills aren't quite at that level but the admiration is there.

Mosmam · 08/09/2024 19:04

Does anyone have a recommendation for a protein shake please. Not too sweet or artificial tasting - the one I have is nasty! On day four and it's going well. I've learned not to be frightened of feeling hunger as I seem to feel full with relatively little food. I'm back to work tomorrow after having last week off. I work in a team that snacks constantly (they are all skinny) - hoping the 'food noise' doesn't return!

I use Happy Scale too - it's the best I've found over the years

Mrsw123 · 08/09/2024 19:25

For those of you who are having mahoosive weightlosses - what daily calories are you aiming to stick to?

Nomdejeur · 08/09/2024 19:31

@Sadteacher money, it’s very expensive to upkeep and I had a lot going on. Thanks for the info on exp dates, I was a bit concerned at injecting out of date stuff.

OldKnees · 08/09/2024 19:50

Thank you for the HappyScale
recs, @85reasons and @doodleschnoodle - I’ve just downloaded and it looks perfect.

@LucyBnotG I just bought Fit track scales on Amazon and hour or so ago they're showing as a flash deal until midnight.

They were half price

LucyBnotG · 08/09/2024 20:44

@thisiswheretheseagullfliesaway That's good to know, thank you! :)

JuvenileBigfoot · 08/09/2024 21:04

Hi 👋
Just done my first injection. I was pathetic about it!!

20bloodypounds · 08/09/2024 21:58

@JuvenileBigfoot but you've done it! Good for you. And it will never feel as scary again. I was really apprehensive, felt sick and shaky and watched the vidoe of how to do it over and over.

Edited

Do you have a link as I can't find these on Amazon, only unbranded ones.

It's so stupid, I've given 100s of injections to other people and I have 6 tattoos! It's just the thought of doing it on myself...

But, all done, looking forward to seeing if it works

violetsunrise · 09/09/2024 07:11

Week 1 weigh in - lost 9lbs
SW - 14st 0 (BMI 30.7)
CW - 13st 5 (BMI 29.3)
Height 5ft 7

So happy with that. Taking second injection shortly.

Generally found week one to be ok and no side effects (fuzzy head and tired) after day one. Strangely I did feel a bit nauseous yesterday afternoon/evening and tum was slightly upset at night. I’d say I felt a bit peckish yesterday but didn’t have the urge to over eat.

Fingers crossed week two goes ok.
