Hi here's another thread.

@CremeDeSudo I had a bottle of wine on Friday and just felt the usual heavy head the next day. Nothing different to pre MJ! My thoughts on it are that I’d usually have the wine, a Prosecco, crisps, rubbish food etc but I’m reducing the portions and amount I eat and drink but still want to create healthy and fun habits that I can maintain.

I had two glasses of red with no ill effects but ate clean - I don’t know if that made the difference.

Dropped a huge bollock. Cancelled Voy, signed up with Cloud, filled in the questionnaire and uploaded photos, checked out and.....

The confirmation email has come through as a 5mg wegovy pen! I definitely clicked mounjaro and it asked me what strength.

I've emailed and left a voicemail but no response yet.

What else can I do?

Do they gave FB messenger. I find that gets a quicker response.

I did a smaller plate as well but couldn't manage it

I drank wine at the weekend but had to force myself - I don't want it, i certainly couldn't drink as much as i used to, it was a social thing and i wanted to have a few but really i didn't want it - it was within my calorie allowance

What do providers ask for when you change dose?

Ive never had a prescription in my name which is what some appear to ask for. I could show a photo of my current pen, but even that doesn’t have my name on. I’m starting to wonder how I can go up a dose with a different provider.

No messenger but I sent an email. Fortunately they've cancelled and refunded the wegovy so I've reordered mounjaro. Hopefully my original order wouldn't have got past the checking pharmacist as I sent them a photo of my mounjaro box.

I'm such a knob. I have the attention span of a goldfish . I wish there was an injection I could take to resolve procrastination, lack of concentration and improve focus. It's a nightmare at times.

Where did you get your pen from? Mine was from Voy and the box it was in had my name and prescribed date on it. Do you have confirmation emails from your supplier?

Hi, I e heard mention of buying needles to access the extra dose in our pens. What kind of needles are they pls? Can someone post a picture of what one would look like as I’ve found a few types. Thank you.

Surely the box has your name, and the name of the pharmacy on it?
Obviously the actual pen won't have.

I’ve ordered my next pen with Oushk - I’m really impressed by them, I joined their Facebook group also and there seems to be great support.

I’m sticking with 2.5 - I think 5mg will probably give me better results but I’m going ok on 2.5 whilst still having to exercise a bit of self control now and then and I think that’s actually good for me to practice! I’m also going abroad for 4 nights with my friend in a couple of weeks - it’s a huge deal for me to be leaving DD that long, I’m already feeling really churned up about it and just got really anxious about potentially dealing with increased side effects whilst there. Hope I’ve done the right thing and the 2.5 keeps working - expensive mistake if not!

Still on holiday. I’ve not actually done dose 4 yet. Was due Sunday. As I posted, I had a drink on Sunday and again yesterday (just 2 drinks each time) and was nervous about injecting after that. Won’t be drinking at all tonight so planned to jab tonight.

Last night we had an Indian - I had one poppadom with a bit of yoghurt dip, a few tikka prawns, 3 pieces of chicken and maybe 2 tablespoons of rice. Was sharing with 4 year old DD and she probably ate more than me! Was delicious and didn’t feel particularly greasy at the time but I had a terrible stomach afterwards - up with the runs most of the night and still getting on and off stomach pains. I think there won’t be too much mounjaro left in my system by now for that to be the cause (and I’ve had a bit of a Chinese take away previously much closer to dose day and been fine) - but clearly something went wrong there! Nervous about injecting today now, but don’t want to leave it any longer either.

I emailed them and WhatsApped them and they cancelled it pretty quickly!

I have just had the same with Med Express gone through all the rigmarole of ordering Mounjaro then they sent an email saying they were sending Wegovy… I sent a message then they just cancelled the order 😩

Had jab 4 yesterday around 7pm and ate a perhaps larger than advisable portion of curry and rice. Felt fine at the time, perhaps a but full but not as much as I expected.

Today though I have felt horribly full. I haven't had anything but black coffee and water all day. Couldn't face lunch and still don't think I want anything.

I think this has made the decision for me about the dose of my next pen! I think I will stick with 2.5 for another month.

Jab day tomorrow (3rd jab of 2.5) and I've actually felt hungry today. Not food noise as such, just, I'm hungry at the normal times. I've eaten sensibly at those times and I'm fine again. It's kind of nice. I'll be interested to see how I feel this time next week, because each week I seem to be a tiny bit more hungry on the last day before the next jab.

I've had amazing progress at 2.5 so I'm really considering staying at it if I'm still having success the next two weeks.

re: alcohol: I have regular social events at weekends which traditionally always involve alcohol. Thankfully not at usually at pubs (where I'd feel as if I'd need to keep up with rounds). I've really scaled back and tend to just have one or two at most and I'm generally happy, probably because I'm eating less so the alcohol effects me a lot quicker!

I'm doing MJ and all of this because not only am I obese, but my cholesterol was high when I was tested. I know drinking doesn't help that, so I'm happy to embrace drinking less and hopefully getting into that as a habit.

I’m only 5 days in to week 2 and my supplier contacted me today to ask if I wanted my next dose to be 2.5 or 5mg. I don’t know what to do. I did lose weight the first week and I think I will have lost another kilo by the end of week 2 but I don’t know if I’ll have lost 4kgs by the end of week 4. I’m completely confused. I’ve no side effects so could increase the dose but I may be reacting to the 2.5 dose to not need to increase the dose. I don’t know what to do.

Is it time to increase your dosage?
As part of your re-order consultation, you’ll be asked your preference between increasing your dose or sticking to your current dosage. Our clinical team will then help to review and make a decision on the most suitable option.
Reasons to stay at the same dosage:
You are losing the weight at the expected rate of approximately 1-2 pounds a week or above
If you are experiencing side effects, it may be better to continue with your current dosage to allow these to subside before progressing to the next dosage

Reasons to increase your dosage:
You are not losing weight at the expected rate (less than 4 pounds over a 4-week period)
You are experiencing minimal or no side effects on your current

I have bought a 5mg pen in preparation but seriously considering ordering another 2.5 as I’m going well on it at the moment. I think I’m going to swap to Oushk because their maintenance plans seem robust and my supplier mentioned supporting a 6 months supply in their first email. Whilst I want to think I can do this alone in a few months, the thought already makes me nervous. I tried so hard to lose on my own with no joy. I’d hate to do all this and find myself back at the beginning.

I've ordered the 5mg as my second pen as although I'm losing weight on 2.5, it's more calorie tracking and determination doing it as I only feel suppression occasionally.

I figure that if 5mg is too much for me, I'll take a lower dose from the 5mg pen and creep up more gradually.

No the box has nothing on it. I’m a bit stumped.

My box came in a clear plastic bag, and that bag had the prescription sticker stuck to it

Could you use your receipt as proof?

I don't know if they're all the same but Voy said to email them for a copy of your prescription.
