@IReallyNeedThisToWork I had got to the point where I was wearing the same three tops on rotation because I knew they fitted and I couldn't be bothered to try on anything else each morning. So I tried them all on! (Leaving the winter stuff for now though!)

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 04/08/2024 23:13

@daffodilandtulip 😁 I have a pile of clothes that fit at the end of my bed which won't fit in my wardrobe because it's full of stuff that doesn't!! I really was going to do it yesterday and my plan was to sort stuff and put some in the spare room wardrobe but I couldn' t get any coat hangers in Sainsbury's so I gave up😂😂

They're coming tomorrow from Amazon..

Sewfrickinamazeballs · 05/08/2024 07:33

@CoastalCalm that's amazing, well done! Sorry to hear about the scan results. As you said, your getting yourself fighting fit which is the best place to be in the circumstances.

@TheShellBeach thats a tiny gain compared to what it could have been. Well done

@CosyNan we have almost the same starting weight. I'm down to (as of today) 15st 7.8. Never thought I'd see the 15's again, let alone keep going towards the 14's!

@Newtonianmechanics smashing it!

@thesugarbumfairy 14's! That's amazing. I can relate to the sabotage. What do we do that? Shows how complex weight loss can be.

I turned 40 on the weekend. DH took me to an amazing spa for the day (as a surprise). Old me would be panicking that he didn't pack my 'cover everything fat swimsuit' and the robes wouldn't fit, but he packed my new size 18 suit which fit like a dream and I swanned around all day feeling comfortable in my own skin. I'm 0.4 off 2 stone and still none of my family (beyond DH) noticed. Not that bothered though as I know this isn't the end and I will keep going. Such a different mind set to before.

Sewfrickinamazeballs · 05/08/2024 07:43

Not sure if anyone else spotted this but Voy only giving £60 off new users through referrals now.

Snozzlemaid · 05/08/2024 07:56

Hit the 2 stone loss this morning!
That's a good start to the week. 😆
Started MJ on 29th May and I'm now 16st 6lbs.
Next I'm looking forward to getting into the 15s.

Hope you all have a good, positive week with lots of losses coming your way.

Snozzlemaid · 05/08/2024 07:58

No one has noticed by weight loss yet either @Sewfrickinamazeballs

Or not mentioned anything if they have.
Dp says he can definitely see the changes though and I can certainly feel it.

SarahB88 · 05/08/2024 07:58

Weigh in day for me and I’m surprised to see a loss! I had a day out with the girls on Saturday and have also managed to drink a bit more in general which I need to stop! I’ve lost 0.6kg this week which is just over a pound so I’ll take that. Think I only had a loss due to being active.

SW: 106.5kg
CW: 100.3kg

Hoping for a better week this week food and drink wise! I’m desperate to be under 100kg!

coffeeandteav · 05/08/2024 09:40

They are talking about jabs on LBC now. Saying the fake drugs are worth millions.

Ozempic is short supply in the uk and saying its because its celebrity authorisation. So it has become cool.

Ferrari said they should make a list of available sellers that are legit but the guest ( a professor )poo pooed that saying it was easy to fake. Have they not read on here.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 05/08/2024 09:43

@Sewfrickinamazeballs Happy 40th! 🎉🎉🎉Hope you had a fabulous weekend!

I did spot that on the Voy app last week and wondered if they'd put their prices down but can't find the price list anywhere on the site or app!!!

@Snozzlemaid woohoo for 2 stone!!!

Callmejudith · 05/08/2024 09:46

@Snozzlemaid 2 stone brilliant!

@Sewfrickinamazeballs happy 40th! Your post made me so happy to read.

I'm giving blood this morning - bit nervous. I'm having a big bowl of granola with greek yog and will also take a bottle with electrolytes in so fingers crossed.

Callmejudith · 05/08/2024 09:48

I've also asked voy for a 5mg pen for my third one which I'll start after my holiday (I repeated 2.5mg for my second pen). I'm planning to micro dose from the 5mg through September.

Morning all hope you are well!
weighing in this morning with a loss this week making 1st 1lb in the two weeks
Im back in the 19 bracket which I haven’t been for years which is exciting. Had some stomach effects last week but everything feeling worth it this morning and have done some measurements too. I definitely feel like I look different but no one else has noticed anything really yet.
I managed to get a place on the Voy research programme which means they are trialling a bit of a ramped up version of what they offer to study the results so I’m sending blood pressure and things to them also- is anyone else part of voyager? Also does anyone still get a rush of anxiety and shaky hands doing the jab? I thought I would be used to it now 😂 at least I’m quicker doing it now much less fannying about!

Hope you all have a good day!

DietStartsM0NDAY · 05/08/2024 11:53

Morning all!

Week 7, 3rd 5mg jab.

Weighed this morning - I weigh every couple of weeks normally as I find it can cause me to hit the 'f@*k it button' for me if I don't like what I see - total loss 6.5 kg so far. So thrilled as I really feel like this is working and sustainable.

Had an HRT review with my private Dr this morning and just thought I would ask if she could prescribe Mounjaro. She could and was also happy to prescribe 4 months worth which I would need for my travels. Just thought I would mention it in case it helps others. I figured as weight is often so tied in with menopause it would be worth enquiring.
I was her first!!
Typically the pharmacy they use don't stock the 10 mg pens, but I got an additional 7.5mg to add to my ones I'm hoping to get from Bolt. Should have enough to keep me going!!

thesugarbumfairy · 05/08/2024 12:17

@IReallyNeedThisToWork you can do it! 19 days is plenty of time to get those few pounds off to get you into the 14s. I actually daren't step on the scales again in case its gone up - I couldn't bear to see that 15 again! So I'm staying off them for a week 😂
@Snozzlemaid that's amazing! I'd love to hit 2st by my 50th (23 days LOL but its 7lb. I can do it!)
@Sewfrickinamazeballs happy birthday you youngster you!
@DietStartsM0NDAY its probably a good idea that I speak to a GP about prescribing. I really don't think they will prescribe (and I'm not on HRT) but if you don't check, you don't know.
@Callmejudith hope the giving blood went ok.
@pinkstinks well done to you

sorry for folk I've missed. I have trouble following threads. I can't really post replies unless I do it on an actual computer because I find the app really lacking in functionality.

No -one has noticed my weight loss either, but this morning I tried on my Thai baggies. I looked it up on fb and I bought them 6 years ago at the Thai festival in Cambridge - and I took my eldest there on Sat which was why I remembered I had them (that was probably the last time they fit me) - and they actually fit. Yay!

QueenEthelTheMagnificent · 05/08/2024 12:18

Happy Monday!

Has anyone jabbed early? My day is Friday, but tbh I'm not feeling the suppression much at all this week. I've managed to stick to my cals and keep active, but as the days go on the food noise is getting stronger so I'm seriously thinking of doing it Weds if I can hold out till then. Any thoughts? x

The Voy panel sounds interesting - are they increasing your doses and seeing what effects it may have on you?

and well done for seeing a new stone bracket! It's always exciting!

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 05/08/2024 12:24

@thesugarbumfairy thanks. Been in a bit of a stall/go slow the last couple of weeks despite 5mg feeling like my perfect dose in every way! 🤞 things creep down.

@QueenEthelTheMagnificent I haven't but know that many do. Everything I have read says it's fine so long as you have a 4 day gap between tabs so you should be ok

AllTheChaos · 05/08/2024 12:29

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge of what happens re loose skin? I’ve lost 6 stone but have quite a lot of loose skin on my stomach as I lost the weight so quickly. It’s not loads and loads, but it is very noticeable. It’s not at the level where surgery would be required, at least I don’t THINK so, but it is ugly and I hate it! Does anyone know if it will gradually be, I don’t know, absorbed back into the body?! I don’t need to lose any more weight (actually lost it without jabs due to an health issue so hope I’m still allowed in this thread! I was clinically obese so would have tried the jabs if hadn’t lost the weight first!) I just don’t know how much is beyond the body’s ability to deal with on its own, and at what point further intervention is required.

AllTheChaos · 05/08/2024 12:31

Also, has anyone else got loads of boxes of now too-big clothes stored away? Having dropped 6 clothes sizes I’m scared of going back up and have kept them all in case I get fat again.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 05/08/2024 12:35

I am still in my 'do I go up to 7.5' quandary! 😩

I am loving 5! This is my third week (boosted bonus + two pen doses) and I am able to eat a couple of meals a day of food that I fancy, feel full for ages after eating (about 9 hours after a roast yesterday!) and really no side effects to speak of.

All brilliant yes?!?

BUT weight loss has slowed right down 🤷‍♀️.

I am with Voy and my next pen will be despatched next Monday so I need to decide this week what I want to do or they'll just send the 7.5. I obvs have 3 doses left (after taking last bonus and plan to take this bonus) not the one dose they think.

I've been trying to work out what I am worried about using a second 5 pen and I think it's the fear of being on holiday at the end of the month and the 5 stopping working 😬 I woke up hungry this morning (although my old style nausea type morning hunger) and then was thinking about breakfast whilst walking the dogs which I fear is feeding my worries.

Any thoughts please?

DietStartsM0NDAY · 05/08/2024 12:54

@QueenEthelTheMagnificent
I was wondering about jabbing a little early each week as well?
Last week I did it 12 hours earlier, was debating doing the same every week, as I definitely feel there is no suppression at all in my last 2 days - in fairness I haven't had much at all with either 2:5 or 5mg.
I'm hoping 7.5mg will bring me a fuller feeling!

Good luck 😄

Snozzlemaid · 05/08/2024 13:23

@AllTheChaos I asked on another thread and someone did say they had loose skin after a big weight loss and theirs did seem to be improving over time. I've a few stone to go yet but do wonder how much excess skin I'll have and have everything crossed it sorts itself out. I would never go for surgery so I would just have to live with it.

Snozzlemaid · 05/08/2024 13:27

@IReallyNeedThisToWork I'm not sure whether or not to go up to 7.5 either.
I have another 5mg pen ready to start but I panic bought a 7.5 at the weekend too.
5 has been great for me but I was getting a bit hungry so I was worrying 5 is getting less effective.
At the moment I think I may go up to 7.5 and save my 5 for titrating down when I reach a healthy bmi.

Callmejudith · 05/08/2024 13:30

@pinkstinks that's an amazing start. Super interested to hear more about the voy research too. Make sure you get freebies for doing it!

@DietStartsM0NDAY t 6.5kg is brilliant and great that your Dr is happy to prescribe. Does that mean you get it at a cheaper price too?

@IReallyNeedThisToWork I defo think you can get into the 14s. I don't think you should go up to 7.5 if you're losing and feeling good on 5. Even if the weight loss is a bit slower you're all good.

@thesugarbumfairy yey for the thai baggies!

Giving blood was ok - I failed the first iron test but it worked on the second go. I drank tons beforehand and went straight onto electrolytes afterwards. I also had a club orange YUM. I also think doing it on day 6 of 7 was good. I couldn't do it in the days following a jab
