Good suppression on 5 (week 3 of 5) but stalled this week... meh

Trytowin20 · 05/08/2024 15:44

Weigh in day today I've lost more 😁

I'm so happy

SW 111kg
CW 101.5kg
Mid GW 99.8kg

1 stone 6 pounds lost.

On 7.5, think I will reorder 7.5 as I'm going on holiday at just after what would be crossover to 10.

Callmejudith · 05/08/2024 15:54

Well for the first time in 7 weeks I am genuinely hungry! Luckily I bought steaks for dinner

Steaks sound good @Callmejudith !! I've just had a couple delivered today.
Sadly no cheaper being prescribed by the Dr as they use a private pharmacy called Pharmaciage,
Bolt have happily prescribed the 3 pens requested, had a chat with a prescriber in the phone - I just hope to god they arrive cold!!
Very good service from them. That should be me covered now until my return to the UK in December!

Callmejudith · 05/08/2024 17:07

That's brilliant Diet I'm glad you're sorted!

I did something crazy today and purchased a pair of size 12 trousers. They don't do up but I love the colour. I actually feel like at some point I might get into them!

Well, a pair of size 18 trousers arrived today, courtesy of Ebay.

I think they'll just about fit. I haven't tried them on because I don't want to be disappointed.

@Callmejudith was it you who said you were now taking creatine? If so, any particular recommendations? DS wants some and reckons I should start too! 😁

JomonotFomo · 05/08/2024 19:54

@IReallyNeedThisToWork I am similar, just started my second 5mg pen on Friday, no real symptoms at all. I’m less inclined to snack but the suppression isn’t quite what it was. But my weight loss has slowed right down, last week I stayed the same and this week I’m on holiday, I still took my 5mg as normal and thought I’d rather have side effects on holiday than overeat but a sneaky weigh in here (so admittedly scales could be out) has me over 4lb heavier. Which I’m not going to lie I’m pretty sad about, I’m not having the treats, I’m not drinking alcohol, meals have been reasonably planned and portions small.

Im hoping the scales are just wildly out but long story short Im thinking of upping to 7.5 next dose which will be in the holidays so hopefully over the worst symptoms by back to school.

Would it be wrong to do extra, maybe 6mg from my 5mg pen? To work up to 7.5?

and no one has noticed any change in me either at 30lb loss (or thereabouts if I’ve gained this week)

ZforZebra · 05/08/2024 20:07

First off well done everyone!!! This thread is so motivating. I started in June on 0.25mg Ozempic at 89kg. By end of June I was at 83kg which was amazing. July was disappointing because I got an awful flu, was diagnosed with an auto immune disease and my provider was out of stock for Ozempic. The only other suppliers were charging hundreds of dollars more so I couldn’t afford it. Mounjarno is not available in my country yet.

I fully expected all the weight to come back but to my surprise I weighed in at 81.3kg today. I think the combination of being so ill most of July and getting used to IF in June helped a lot. It makes me more hopeful that once I stop I will be able to keep it off as long as I maintain healthy habits.

Anyway I took my 0.5mg dose today and really excited. I am hoping I’ll be in the high 70s by the end of this month (which will put me in the overweight category for my height). Nobody has really commented (noticed?) any weightloss except my endocrinologist and sister but I can see a massive change.

No symptoms so far, but curious if moving up a dose (and switching from Ozempic to Reglutide as it’s all that’s available in my country at the moment) will have any positive/negative effects. My goal this month is to start incorporating gentle exercise.

Snozzlemaid · 05/08/2024 13:23

@AllTheChaos I asked on another thread and someone did say they had loose skin after a big weight loss and theirs did seem to be improving over time. I've a few stone to go yet but do wonder how much excess skin I'll have and have everything crossed it sorts itself out. I would never go for surgery so I would just have to live with it.

Oh that is good news! I really wouldn’t want to go the surgery route, but at the same time don’t like having a torso covered in loose skin!

SarahB88 · 05/08/2024 23:39

@IReallyNeedThisToWork I’ve been taking creatine in my protein shake and buy the stuff off of my protein. I like the taste of their salted caramel protein powder so just got the creatine from them too.

I’m also adding powdered collagen to my shake and I’m starting to see a difference in my skin! It’s much brighter and plumper.

Callmejudith · 06/08/2024 06:55

@IReallyNeedThisToWork I went for gummies as it's one less thing to think about it and I just have it while I'm making my coffee and other vits in the morning Unique Physique - Creatine Monohydrate Gummies - 5g / 5000mg Per Serving - 1 Month Supply - Supports Muscle Growth - Strawberry Flavour - Vegan & Low Sugar - for Men & Women : Amazon.co.uk: Health & Personal Care

My only comment so far is I think they are making me a bit constipated but I've also been a bit rubbish with veg/fibre so that could be it

@Callmejudith fab! Thanks! Actually ordered some powder from Protein Works in the early hours but will look at those too🙂

I reckon the collagen helps but the biggest thing has to be not drinking every day! Personally, I reckon my skin looks amazing atm and that's why!

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 06/08/2024 07:37

Biggest highlight of last week was my new pill organiser!!!

I would say so! My skin is also pretty good and I reckons it’s the litres and litres of water plus v v limited booze

The other bit that got censored was I think they are making me a bit constipated but nothing dramatic

Also final update after giving blood was I definitely felt more tired and hungry than usual but feel fine today. I ate more yesterday than I have in ages but stuck to all good stuff (apart from the club orange which is is mandatory when donating)

This is what I use too! Was a bit annoyed it didn’t come with a scoop though so I ordered some on Amazon. It’s so easy to just chuck in the shake, I’ve tried it in coffee too and it just dissolved away to nothing which was good.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 06/08/2024 08:45

@SarahB88 NO SCOOP?!? Mine did! I bought their True Hydration as well and got a gorgeous metal scoop as a free gift! Email them!

SarahB88 · 06/08/2024 08:52

@IReallyNeedThisToWork oh no! Heres me thinking they didn’t give me a scoop because they seem like a reduced plastic company so maybe that was why. Where’s my scoop gone 😂
