I'm so sad, it just doesn't seem to be working for me and more, I'm just losing and gaining the same 2/3 lbs for the last few weeks. Food noise is back, bad choices are back. I was on 5 for 2 months because of side effects, but moving up to 7.5 this week and hoping that works. If it doesn't not sure I'll carry on. I'm pleased with the weight I've lost, around 2 stone, but it's an expense I can't afford if it's stopped working. Will have to try and get the last stone off and more importantly try not to gain anything back, on my own 😢

Hi all , I haven't posted for a while but have been reading your fantastic success stories, well done one and all x Really pleased for you and a bit Mounjealous to be honest !

I've lost 21 lbs since June 22nd,wish it was more but it's slow and steady, losing 1-2 lb a week and not gained at all . I know we're all different but I do compare results and feel down at times then give my head a wobble and congratulate myself on my more modest loss and too big bra

It's time to order my next pen and got a bit of a dilemma.I get good suppression on for the first 4-5 days on 5mg but really feel I should be going up to 7.5 now ,problem is I'm going away at the end of this 5mg pen and will have a 10 day gap in between that and starting the 7.5 so just a bit concerned that the gap and the increased dose would make me feel a bit yuk ?

What would you suggest ? Do you think a higher dose would result in a bigger weekly loss or longer suppression ?

I think slow and steady sounds good. I was a fast loser to begin with and now it's just stopped working for me. Maybe give 7.5 a go and see if it gives you a boost, but 21lbs is a great loss and that it's a continuous loss sounds really positive to me 🙂

achangeofnameisasgoodasarest · 18/09/2024 08:55

@mcdle in exactly the same boat - two months on 5 now and nothing happening. Going to try 7.5 and see what happens. Glad to have lost the two stone I have though so at least maintaining that!

Pyjamatimenow · 18/09/2024 09:04

Anyone reached their goal weight and then realised they still feel heavy and need to lose more? Feel a bit depressed. I reckon I need to lose another stone. I’m already on 12.5 mg. Feels a bit of a slog now and bored of eating cottage cheese 🤣

I was a bit like that. I lost a load and then on 7.5 I just stalled for weeks. It started moving again on 10mg.

Notcms · 18/09/2024 09:25

My weight loss has been nil for 2 weeks now on 7.5mg
I have ordered 10mg to see if I can get going again. But it's been really slow for me..

CosyNan · 18/09/2024 09:59

@mcdle Thanks ,I'll order a 7.5 and if I feel rough I can count clicks and go back down to 5

I had a stall a few of weeks ago too, it’s to be expected but the weigh does start to come off again ☺️

TheShellBeach · 18/09/2024 10:53

Well, I had a big loss last week, so I'm stuck at the moment.

I'm so keen to see the scales start with a 14, and they're just about to.

But I'm still at 15st 1lb.

I have to keep reminding myself how much I've lost in total. 5st 1lb. That's amazing.

Snozzlemaid · 18/09/2024 11:02

@mcdle and @achangeofnameisasgoodasarest My weight loss slowed a lot towards the end of my second 5mg pen but I've had a big loss again this week after taking my first 7.5 dose.
Hopefully the same will happen for you both too and you'll be back on track soon.

I can't decide now whether to get another 7.5 or go up to 10 next time. I didn't want to go up too quickly but if the second pen isn't as effective for me I will want to go up each month.

TheShellBeach · 18/09/2024 12:18

I've gone up each month. I'm on 10mg now.
I think I'll stick to it.

WheresSummer99 · 18/09/2024 14:37

were any of your pens delivered in the hot spell in July? It may have impact potency as it’s been flagged on another group many realising they had a warm pen delivered and it’s not been as effective.

Lynsey14 · 18/09/2024 15:18

EVERYONE! I had my annual check up with the nurse yesterday (required for ongoing oral contraceptive) and the nurse took one look at me and went “I’m going to need you to get on the scales for me”
I’m 14 kilos lighter than my last check up apparently and she was delighted with me. Also apparently my blood pressure is “perfect”. My blood pressure is never perfect and they usually have to do a second reading to verify.
In case anyone was wondering, I asked her if they got notified by simpleonlinepharmacy about the fact I was on MJ - and yes there was a letter attached to my patient record - so SOP definitely mean it when they say they’ll tell your doctor, not sure about others.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 18/09/2024 15:24

@Lynsey14 FANTASTIC! It's always great to hear about the health benefits other than the weight loss 😁!

I've recently moved to the family chemist and they ask you to download a letter to give to your gp so I assume that means THEY don't contact them but you do🤷‍♀️ I can't access anything other than meds on the NHS app so don't have a clue what's on there!

Snozzlemaid · 18/09/2024 15:52

I can see my letters on the documents section on my GP record on my NHS app. One has been sent with every order I've made.

Callmejudith · 18/09/2024 17:52

Sorry been a bit AWOL (again) - completely hectic with my boss here. Has been a lot of dinners but actually I think staying on the 2.5 x a week has been a godsend because I've stopped feeling rough if I indulge in something a bit more fatty but I'm still not over eating. Have had a few more comments about weight loss too which is lovely.

Bonus dose of 7.5mg pen dose today - my first time getting the bonus dose out and I was pretty scared as the needle looked massive in comparison to normal.
However it was really easy to get the dose out and I hardly felt a thing phew!

SW 252.6 lb
CW 220.4 lb

Total loss: 32.2 lb

No loss this week but given I had gone up 2lbs at the weekend after last dose, I'm just happy that came off again and I'm back to where I was.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 19/09/2024 13:41

Official weigh in day today! I have lost 3lbs!!

Today is my 3 month Mounjaroversary! I have lost 38 pounds since starting on 19/6!! 🎉🎉

Fast 800 SW: 17 st 7lbs
Loss: 9lbs
MJ SW: 16st 12lb
CW: 14st 2lb

My life has changed so much in the last 3 months:
Dropped a dress size
Massively reduced my wine habit
Back in the gym for the first time in about 18 years!

So close to the 13s, I can almost TASTE it!! 😁

TheShellBeach · 19/09/2024 14:25

Argh!

The scales said 15st exactly today.
I mean, that's good, because it's another 1lb off - but I want to see 14st 13lb.

Soon, soon .........
Grin

TheShellBeach · 19/09/2024 14:27

Ooh, and I thought I'd try on one of the smaller bras, not expecting it to do up, but it did!

It was tight but I'll be in it in another month

TheShellBeach · 19/09/2024 14:31

I thought I'd update y'all on my thoughts WRT injecting in the upper arm.

It made absolutely no difference.

I wonder if those of you who felt that the MJ was more effective when injected into the upper arm actually gave yourselves an intramuscular injection by mistake?

Anyway. I've now injected into my upper arm, thigh and abdomen. There was no difference in the efficacy of the MJ.

TheShellBeach · 19/09/2024 14:33

Realistically, it shouldn't make any difference.
Subcutaneous fat is subcutaneous fat.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 19/09/2024 15:54

From my personal experience, I have to disagree 😁
Thigh: slightly painful and bled a bit. Was my first week and suppression was good, side effects were not great
Stomach: no pain to inject and no bleeding. Side effects pretty rough for the first couple of weeks. Suppression generally good until about wk 5 on 5 mg when it started to wear off towards the end of the week and I was thinking about what I wanted to eat a lot more which made me think I needed to move up to 7.5.
Arm: tried it due to the above. Suppression has lasted the full 7 days (almost seems stronger days 6&7 than day 5!) but no side effects.
We are all different and all have different experiences and some of it could be totally in our minds. Logically, where you inject shouldn't make any difference but 🤷‍♀️

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 19/09/2024 16:05

Oh and no, there is no muscle in my bingo wings so definitely a subcutaneous injection!

WheresSummer99 · 19/09/2024 16:18

Yeah injection in my leg twice definitely not as effective as into my tummy fat. But I had more of an allergic reaction on my stomach and a lot less on my leg. The raised red itchy patch has got worse and worse after each jab recently. I’ve moved sites every time but now have succession of bruises fading or red marks. Supposed to start a new pen today plan to jab tonight as that’s worked well for me last few weeks. I guess I’m just super sensitive as still on only 3mg.
