That means you’re officially in the baggy pants brigade!

Had to buy new knickers! I’m a size down and no longer baggy 😂

Sewfrickinamazeballs · 27/08/2024 07:21

@Callmejudith well done on your holiday choices. Hope you have a fab time.

@IReallyNeedThisToWork what an office! Not jealous at all

Loving all the dropped sizes!
@TheShellBeach size 24 to 16 is amazing, and @daffodilandtulip how cool to order a size 10 coat.

@VioletsHeart welcome to the baggy pants brigade!

Feeing a bit meh today. So I am 2.5 stone down.....yet still not one person has mentioned anything. I definitely feel different. I think I've dropped from a solid size 20/22 to an 18 but all my old clothes still fit (I think because almost everything I own is designed to stretch). I'm not brave enough to go try stuff on properly in a size 18 in case it doesn't fit. I'm also not brave enough to get rid of stuff yet (hard to shake the feeling the weight will all come back someday). Anyway, off for a cycle this afternoon (new seat cover ordered to stop my arse getting bruised!). Hope everyone had a good bank holiday.

Snozzlemaid · 27/08/2024 07:35

@Sewfrickinamazeballs That's pretty identical to my sizing and weight loss.
Ive also lost 2.5 stone and I've been wearing 22s and am still wearing most of it. Apart from a couple of pairs of trousers that now fall down.
I can see small changes in my body shape but not a great deal yet.
I saw my mum yesterday for the first time in a few weeks and she said 'you're losing weight aren't you?' to me. She's the only one who's said anything so far.
I'm trying to last out the summer without spending on clothes but will need to buy some new trousers in particular for the autumn and winter. I've no idea if I could get into an 18 yet either, will have to give it a go at some point.
I keep reminding myself of the 'kitchen roll' analogy and hopefully the thinner look will come quicker the smaller I get.

Sewfrickinamazeballs · 27/08/2024 07:41

@Snozzlemaid thanks, good to know it's not just me. Very similar here, trousers are a bit baggy but everything else still 'fits' (roomier for sure). Makes me wonder if I actually was a bigger size but because of what I wore (old stretchy stuff), it just grew with me.

Yes, the kitchen roll analogy is good to keep in mind. I'm sort of hoping as we go into autumn/winter I can cocoon in baggy jumpers and then come spring, transform into a slim butterflySmile

Let me know if you attempt clothes shopping.

Snozzlemaid · 27/08/2024 07:47

Yes, definitely!
Imagine how we'll be next spring when the t shirts and summer dresses come out. Very exciting 😃

achangeofnameisasgoodasarest · 27/08/2024 08:31

Weighed in today - back from a festival where I was very grateful for being 10kg lighter than two months ago as I was volunteering and lugging things everywhere. However, basically lived on bacon sandwiches. Still lightest weight since starting so that's a win.

Start weight: 89.5
Goal weight: 65
Current weight: 78.9

NSW, currently wearing a pair of trousers that I've not worn for four years. Just as well as everything else is in the wash!

SarahB88 · 27/08/2024 08:48

Forgot to update after my weigh in yesterday. Not lost a thing last week which I’m quite annoyed about as I did a lot of exercise and ate really well. I’ll be stopping after this pen this try for baby number two and it’s just good to know that I’ll be at least 10kg lighter than when I got pregnant the first time. I’ll be keeping up with my exercise and eating so would hope to continue with small losses each week until pregnant again.

Megarea · 27/08/2024 19:46

Wondering if anyone else has had this. I had no reaction at injection site at 2.5mg then a raised red itchy patch for a couple of days after each injection when I went to 5mg. It wasnt particularly bad and I just resigned myself to it but it has disappeared at 7.5mg!?!
I swear I don't understand Mounjaro sometimes!

Callmejudith · 28/08/2024 10:38

I kind of wish I’d brought my pen on holiday. Appetite is definitely back and I’m having more “treats”. Though at the same time I need to remember it’s holiday!! Really looking forward to jabbing on Saturday though. I’ve got a 5 pen but I’m going to do 2.5

I've just had my first skin reaction to MJ.

It was from the 7.5mg pen, and it caused redness and itching. None of the other jabs have done this. I think it's completely normal and a bit random. So don't worry if you get this.

thesugarbumfairy · 28/08/2024 11:14

Just to announce that I am 50 today, and I hit my first goal of 2st this morning. I'm on week 13.
Hurrah!! I am 1/3 of the way to end goal.

I have also just had a skin reaction - never had one before, on it for about 10-11 weeks so far. I think it must be a bit random, I hope so anyway!

CrystaltipsnoAlistair · 28/08/2024 11:56

Congratulations @thesugarbumfairy on both your 50th Birthday 🎉 and your 2st loss.
Great way to start your fifties.

QueenEthelTheMagnificent · 28/08/2024 13:06

Nsv - on the middle clasps of my bra! Been on the end ones for at least 2 years!

also the 5mg is well and truly kicking my arse. Tummy pain all weekend from Domino's, finally started to feel better Monday so ate normally, last night had a tiny piece of garlic bread (the same amount I've been having on 2.5) and woke up with tummy pain and had to run straight to the loo. Massive suppression so haven't managed to eat yet today.

really hope my body adjusts soon.

Snozzlemaid · 28/08/2024 13:26

@thesugarbumfairy What a great birthday present to yourself!
Well done and Happy Birthday 🥳

Hi everyone,

I am really not getting along with 7.5 munjaro as it caused me the most horrendous onset of migraine so I got very scared and I was dialing down to 5mg for the the last few weeks. I am thinking of purchasing 10 mg and dialing down to 5 mg. has anyone tried it? Would it affect my next order as prescriber will see that I have missed a month of injections? I am with Bolt Pharmacy. I tried to look this up and cant find anyone talking about it

Sorry, I've never dialled back on bought doses. I am struggling on 7.5, though. Did you try injecting a bit less?

I was fine the first two weeks on that dose but this week's injection has hit me hard. Was fine the first 24 hours then last night after dinner I felt so sick and started with the most hideous sulphur burps and stomach ache.

Was up most of the night on and off the loo and burping like a mad woman. Only managed a few sips of water so far today.

Really hoping this is a one off. I did have quite a heavy dinner (spag bol) but didn't eat much of it. Maybe I over did it?

Anyone found a way to manage the sulphur burps? I read (not on here) that Pepto Bismol works but have been taking Gaviscon Double Action, which is apparently stronger, and it's not touching it.

Happy Birthday @thesugarbumfairy !

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 28/08/2024 17:05

@thesugarbumfairy whoop whoop for your bay present!! 🎉🎉
@Callmejudith I bet you are looking forward to Saturday! Jab day for me and it's waiting up in the fridge in my room 😁
@värskekapsas sorry to hear about the migraines. I would say it was not a good idea due to the 30 day life span once used.
@StaunchMomma ouch! That sounds horrible. 🤞 I haven't suffered from sulphur burps so far so I’m sorry I cant offer any suggestions. Hope things calm soon.

Sewfrickinamazeballs · 28/08/2024 18:44

@SarahB88 sorry to hear you didn't lose, but 10kg off is great. Hope the next part of your journey is successful.

@thesugarbumfairy happy birthday! What a present you have given yourself!

@QueenEthelTheMagnificent love the bra NSV!

Well, I got brave and went to M&S to try clothes on. Took 18s and 20s and the 18s fit. I think I have gotten so use to wearing baggy stuff to cover me up, I've completely lost perspective of what a well fitted garment should feel like and actually most of my stuff I have looks pretty ridiculous on now I look at it. Anyway, size 18 tops and trousers purchased. Yippee!

Megarea · 28/08/2024 19:45

Thanks @TheShellBeach - I'm not worried really just bemused that it started at a lower dose and has disappeared at a higher one!
@Ineffable23 as mine has appeared and now disappeared there's hope, fingers crossed yours goes too.

DietStartsM0NDAY · 29/08/2024 06:48

@thesugarbumfairy Happy birthday and what an amazing start to the next decade! Just think how much fitter you will feel in it with 2 stone gone 😁
@värskekapsas perhaps ring Bolt and speak to the pharmacist. I have spoken with him (Saim) and he was very personable and helpful to my particular situation.

Well done with all the NSV's and losses. I'm still struggling a bit with more hunger/food noise on 7.5mg, but keeping strong and still not feeling the urge to binge I the way I used to. Got a night planned with friends at the Cheesecake Factory tonight and have already checked out the menu in order to try and keep on track and make good choices. 😁

daffodilandtulip · 29/08/2024 07:03

Feeling a bit miserable today as I haven't lost anything this week, thanks to the second period of the month (thanks peri 😤). But I've just had to go and change, as I realised the blouse I put on this morning is now rather exposing 😂. I only concentrate on my stomach, I don't notice that the rest of me is shrinking too. Small wins I guess.

Sewfrickinamazeballs · 29/08/2024 08:36

SW 17st 7.4
CW 15st 0.8

Loss this week 1.7lb. So close to the 14's!
