SW 17st 7.4
CW 15st 5.5

Loss this week 1.5lb. Not loads but slow and steady. It's very strange to think in a few weeks this might start with a 14!

Hope everyone is good.

Megarea · 15/08/2024 07:50

Fourth and final dose of second 5mg pen dose today - going to take the plunge into the 7.5mg next week.

SW 252.6 lb
CW 226.8 lb

Total loss: 25.8 lb

I said I wouldn't say no to another whoosh week last week and this week had a respectable 2.2lb loss which I'm very pleased with.

I've taken a risk and ordered a couple of size 18 trousers and jeans on Vinted as my size 20 trousers are getting pretty flappy round the waist so really hoping they'll fit.

NSV was being able to wear the beautiful ring my Grandma left me which I've never been able to comfortably fit into before!

Callmejudith · 15/08/2024 08:37

@TheShellBeach whoop for the jeans!

@daffodilandtulip it's so annoying isn't it! A great NSV but also annoying!

@WheresSummer99 fingers crossed you don't feel rough on the 3mg

I did a heavy lifting gym class last night and I am STARVING this morning!

Callmejudith · 15/08/2024 08:40

@Megarea really love that about the ring - so lovely

Jab number 7 for me today. Using the 5mg pen. So far I’ve done two lots of 3.75 by counting clicks. If my maths is correct I’m going to do 3 more weeks of 50 clicks. I managed to get Voy to send me a couple of spare needles so will get 5 doses out of this pen. Already arranged to stay on 5mg next month as I’m off to Turkey for 3 weeks and don’t want to risk side effects on 7.5mg. Will move up after the hols.
SW. 14.8
CW. 13.2
Hoping to see weight starting with a 12 before my hols in 3 weeks. Only lost a lb this week but it’s better than nothing.
Tried my new bikinis on and pleased that I don’t look like a beached whale. 😂😂😂

Callmejudith · 15/08/2024 10:44

@Bitezbabe yey for bikinis! We are off on holiday next week and I am utterly delighted that I started MJ. Usually by now I'd be panicking and trying to lose 2 stone in 2 days

OP posts:
Bitezbabe · 15/08/2024 10:56

TBH I wore a bikini at my heaviest as I feel more comfortable in one rather than a swimsuit all wet around my tummy. I’m of the opinion I’m on holiday and if people don’t like what they see they can look away. I’m always really pleased to see confident women of all shapes and sizes on the beach not giving a toss what others think.

Newme24 · 15/08/2024 13:45

Wow well done everyone! It's working great so well for so many people. 🙌 I'm loving the NSV! They're so inspiring. My 16's were getting really baggy on me so I took the plunge yesterday and brought a pair of size 14 jeans! And they went on and did up! I still have a lot of overhang and I can't say they would be comfortable to wear right now as when I sit they're quite tight around my stomach but I'm hoping another 7lbs and they will fit more comfortable in time for the change in weather 🤞

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 15/08/2024 14:33

@Newme24 oh wow! 14s😱😱 Just amazing. Size 14 seems like a 'normal' size😂 so huge congratulations and look forward to hearing when you can sit down in them!

JomonotFomo · 15/08/2024 15:31

I did my MeThreeSixty measurements for the first time in a few weeks, and finally seeing some changes!

This is comparing yesterday vs a week after starting in June.

@Newme24 brilliant for size 14s

@JomonotFomo that's such a massive difference

Mine shows me as bigger on every measurement - I've lost 23lb 🤷🏼‍♀️

JomonotFomo · 15/08/2024 19:16

@daffodilandtulip mine did that for a while too! Despite the models looking smaller! I’m down 32lb I think.

I felt really paranoid and overlaid my first selfie with a new one to check I wasn't imagining it 😂

JomonotFomo · 16/08/2024 08:37

Week 11

Start weight 15st12
CW 13st6.5

So a 3lb loss this week! Total loss 33.5lb, so very close to 2.5stone gone! My next goals that are coming up are:

Get under 13stone
Get to 3stone loss (12st12)
Drop from obese to overweight 12st11.

Eek!

WheresSummer99 · 16/08/2024 08:45

Wow that’s amazing @JomonotFomo well done!

my stall has ended whoop.. woke up this morning needing a massive wee at 5am (this happens each time I get a mini whoosh) and dropped 1.5lbs so I’m pleased with that after stalling and going up1lb then down a 1lb. I’ve been on 2.5mg for 7weeks as when I tried 3.25mg I was ill but this week I did inject a day early and went up to 3mg feeling ok. My system has always been really sensitive to hormone changes. But interestingly my joint pain is back and I just twigged my oestrogen HRT has been different this last week and it’s clearly not working again grrr so I’ll switch back to the old prescription if i can get it. As after being on MJ for 2 months my body was feeling amazing with reduced joint pain and brain fog hugely down. Being in your 50s is no fun but this last 8wks has been the best I’ve felt for years, like my old self again!

nextdoorconundrum · 16/08/2024 08:50

SW 14.13
CW 12.5

11 weeks in. On week 4 of 7.5 start 10mg next Monday . Excellent suppression on 5. but suppression less on 7.5 and have literally not lost a single pound in 3 weeks. (The upside is that I haven't gained either) has anyone else had similar ?

WheresSummer99 · 16/08/2024 08:55

@nextdoorconundrum lots of chat on the main thread about stalls and sometimes a refeed for a couple of days tricks the body into restarting again. But generally keep going maybe do some strength training as body weight exercises instead of cardio have given me results before. It’s frustrating though I agree.

Thanks so much. I will take your advice and visit the main board - just good to know it's not a rare occurrence.

Will also dig my weights out. I am a 'winter time' gym goer only as am very active out side during April-October.

However this is all cardio exercise. Whereas at the gym I'm predominantly doing weights.

WheresSummer99 · 16/08/2024 09:18

I do think weight training is the key as those muscles will utilise more calories when idle than just body fat. I’m not a fan of strength training at all I much prefer long dog walks cycling or running or swimming but I’m aware at my age I really need to build some more muscle. So once a week I make myself do it then tell myself I need to do it twice a week then always “forget”…

thesugarbumfairy · 16/08/2024 09:37

I did my fat camp course on Weds (week 5 - its a free course from the council and is actually called active for health - we do low impact exercising - emphasis is on movement - its not a about food - I did another course on that a few years back - it was pointless) and we had a weigh in.

My group leader Charlie, just looked at me in astonishment and said 'you've lost!' (probably about 12lb since the course started mid July)
LOL bless him, I don't think folk on his courses normally do lose weight going by his reaction😂
Its a win for him as well as the course will keep running if folk show an improvement in any way (fitness, BP, weight etc)

Callmejudith · 16/08/2024 10:50

@JomonotFomo that's brilliant you must feel amazing

@WheresSummer99 HOORAH for the stall ending! I love that you're feeling like your old self

@nextdoorconundrum I think lots of people get a stall at about this time. Advice on the main board seems to be drink tons of water and have a couple of days of higher calories

@thesugarbumfairy that made me laugh out loud!

I love strength training - it makes me feel like a warrior and I can lift more than my DS14.

Megarea · 16/08/2024 18:28

Lost 3.4 lbs today though unfortunately I can't really count it as a real weight loss - it'll be back tomorrow no doubt.
It came from a 7 mile walk up hill (lots of up hill) and down dale. The good thing is though that even after scrambling up some very steep slopes my breathing was back to normal in seconds.
I have been improving fitness generally but I think the 25lbs gone is making a massive difference!

Sewfrickinamazeballs · 16/08/2024 18:46

@Megarea sounds fun! Totally with you on the improved fitness. I've noticed I'm not as out of breath as I used to be.

@JomonotFomo well done! Thats a fab loss and overall you're smashing it! I don't imagine it will be much longer before you hit those goals. I can see a difference in those images! I'm not brave enough to do this but it's so clear!

daffodilandtulip · 17/08/2024 08:12

Week 2 of 7.5mg, so end of week 9 weigh in:

SW 15th June 13st 7lb, BMI 36.9
CW 11st 12lb, BMI 32.4

Loss this week 2lb
Total loss 23lb - which is 12% of my body weight!!
