Week 8 weigh-in (splitting 5mg dose by injecting 2.5 every 4 days)

I’ve finally reached 1 stone off 🙂. Splitting the dose has helped with side-effects and suppression has been good. I’m still having problems with constipation, but that sorted itself yesterday resulting in a 3lb loss this week.

SW - 13st 2.6lb (BMI 31.5)
CW - 12st 1.4lb (BMI 28.9)
GW - 9st 9lb (BMI 23)

Gain for me this week. Went away for a few days so delayed my jab three days. Wow it floored me again. Pain in stomach, the runs and so much nausea. One day I woke up with my throat burning. Still gained three! 🤦‍♀️
I am hoping it settles if I eat healthier this week. Sounds like some if you also have pain on white bread type food.

Think I will go down to 5 for my next jab.

4 week anniversary on Mj for me today! Too tired to work everything out this morning (steroids=insomnia) and woke up at 6.30 with my stomach in utter agony!! I'm wondering if it's because I jabbed before I ate? Every other time I've jabbed after? Anyway -

So yes 2 stone down in 4 weeks! My only goal when I started was to get to 14.5 stone as that's the lowest weight I've been in the last 14 years so wanted to get back down to it. Our holiday is in 2 months time so I'm wondering how much I can lose before then. And no I'm not taking my pen away with me I intend to enjoy every second of the AI!! 😁

@coffeeandteav surely that can’t be a gain of fat though? I bet it’ll come off quickly.

I started trying to lose weight in January. I was 20st 2lb.

I lost the first couple of stone myself, with Orlistat from my GP.

I started on MJ at the end of June.

In six weeks, I've lost 24lb.

So my weight now is 16st 2lb.

I've lost 4st since January.

But I've still got 7 stone to lose!
I'd like to be 9st 2lb.

That's amazing!

What are your thoughts on loose skin? I can feel it under my arms already (wobble wobble!!). I don't have a goal weight in mind but I'm thinking the loose skin will be a deciding factor.

Well, I've been away for two weeks in Italy and france - did my first jab a day early, and delayed my second by a day. Just weighed, and I've put on 200g (and period due tomorrow). Given how much fun we've had I reckon that's probably a win.

Back to it now!

I’ve been out for an Italian tonight - couldn’t finish the pasta and now I feel sooooo bloated - it was yummy though

TMI warning ahead:

Flipping heck, I haven't had many side effects up until now but I ate out Friday afternoon (on my own) and have had really dreadful diarrhoea since then. I have been struggling with constipation slightly with MJ but this has been something else (up in the night every hour). I am hoping it is food poisoning tbh rather than some sort of delayed side effect as I definitely couldn't stay on it if I am like this regularly.

Has anyone else had massive changes to their side effects randomly or does some kind of bug seem more likely?

Oh no that sounds more like food poisoning or a stomach bug to me! Can you sip water or squash?

Yeah, that is the course of action currently. I at least don't have plans today so currently languishing in bed and debating decamping to the garden. Feeling suitably sorry for myself I must say!

Holiday on Tuesday so I’m injecting the bonus dose early tonight. On the main thread there’s been some posts about how long the drug stays in your body which I’ve found fascinating. I thought it basically disappears after a week but apparently not (scientific thinking from me haha)

Ive got the 5mg waiting for me after holiday. This is ridiculous but it’s in the fridge and I know our cleaner will deep clean when we’re away and I don’t want her to find it and possibly bin it!! Do you think it’s ok to be out of the fridge for 10 days before I use it?

@Callmejudith can't you text your cleaner and ask her not to throw it out?

@Callmejudith I have seen a graph somewhere that shows build up in your body over time/doses with peaks and troughs etc. 'Twas very interesting but can I find the link now?!? Grr!!

No, you cannot leave your unused pen out of the fridge. I'd you think she'll throw it away, can you take it with you? I am taking mine (but will obvs be using it whilst away😁)

I think I would just put it in a bag and label it with "do not throw away"?

Alternatively you could empty the fridge of dead items yourself and just ask the cleaner to clean but not throw anything away?

That should only be 3.125 right, so hopefully won't be too too much of a step up? I have only made my way up to 3.5mg so far as I am only consuming an average of about 1200 (? Ish - I hate calorie counting properly) on this and reckon I'll just have to live on multivitamins if I go any higher.

Thank you for working that out! The last bonus was about .7 and I definitely felt weirder the day after but hopefully this will be ok

Another good loss for me of 1kg, I’m now 9.3kg down in total over 8 weeks. I’m doing another month of 5mg as that seems to be working well for me.

SW: 106.5kg
CW: 97.2kg

I’m going to set an interim goal of getting to 93kg by the end of this month as I may be stopping after this pen to try for another baby. Also might go another month as we’ve not fully decided on when to try but I’d like to have that interim goal!

Weighed in this morning and I’m the lightest I’ve ever been on these particular scales!

SW: 93kg
CW: 85.5kg
GW: Not sure maybe 75kg

Bonus dose produced some horrible dreams last night!
