Re: Zava warm pens. I received the following message from Zava -
"Thank you for your message,
Due to the packaging we provide with an ice pack and cool wool, we can ensure the medication remains within this temperature range for up to 48 hours and is safe to use if delivered in this time frame.
The Royal Mail label was created on 15/07 however your order was dispatched on 18/07 and delivered on 19/07. This is why the tracking updated on 18/7. This means your pen was delivered within the 48 hour timeframe and is safe to use
It is expected the ice pack will melt during transit, please note this is not cause for alarm, you can continue to use and refrigerate your pens as per our previous guidance"
But guidance on the Numan website says
"Your medicines are kept in cold storage throughout the supply chain and while they are kept in our pharmacy. We deliver them to you using a cold chain packaging to ensure a consistent refrigerated temperature during delivery. Our in-house studies have demonstrated that our packaging can maintain the medication at a temperature between 2 - 8 C for up to 72 hours.
In the unlikely event that the pen has not been stored in a fridge before first use:
Ozempic/Wegovy will still be suitable to use for up to 6 weeks after the date of dispatch.
Mounjaro will still be suitable to use for up to 30 days after the date of dispatch."
My pen was room temperature, not fridge temperature so I'm still not sure if it's safe? I've asked for a refund again and said I'll send the pen back, so will see.
Edited to say I'm getting really confused about the fridge temperature issue and whether safety is compromised during transit or not? 😕
