Wow - Asda doctors are really on it - my order got approved within two hours (asked for another 5 mg rather than going up a dose), and no need for more photos so I guess it the lower BMI that triggered the request for more photos @coffeeandteav . Although I guess you are ordering your 4th lot not 3rd not thinking about it more...

I have ordered my 7.5mg so third pen. I haven't done the photos but it says has been approved. No delivery date yet. So will see what happens.

JomonotFomo · 21/07/2024 23:20

Oh what a shame about Zava! That’s pretty shit! Both mine have been ok so far from them

urgh I feel ill again! Disappointing as had hoped that I would have minimal symptoms after going up slowly.. sigh.

JomonotFomo · 22/07/2024 06:18

But in better news, I’ve weighed in this morning at 13st12 which is a 2stone loss!

Just need fo maintain or increase that by Friday!

Callmejudith · 22/07/2024 07:12

@JomonotFomo thats absolutely bloody brilliant!! How many weeks have you done?

Summerheels · 22/07/2024 08:35

Wow @JomonotFomo that’s brill.

im another one who used to describe myself as fat but fit @Happycyclist and @Callmejudith as I run / swim or cycle most days plus walk the dog. Using MJ has really highlighted to me I was having problem with insulin resistance (blood tests still had me as ok) in some way as I know exactly what to eat to be healthy & was fit but still couldn’t shift the menopausal 3st weight gain (bmi32). Within an hour my sugar craving was switched off using this. I’ve now lost 15lbs in 5weeks plus 8.5 inches in total off my bust/waist/hips 3” off my waist in 5weeks is just bonkers! However I’m going to have a reset break in the next few days to see what happens before I start my new pen. I’ve had a busy weekend and felt increasingly dizzy, my BP has dropped back into borderline low zone (it used to be), and I’ve got a constant dull ache where my gallbladder used to be - it was taken out 10yrs ago. I’ve been drinking electorates more frequently as they help stop the dizziness. So it’s going to be interesting to see what happens in next few days. But my joint pain has dropped 85% & brain fog too I just hope I can continue to shift some more weight I’m happy doing 1-2lbs a week if I can control my diet.

SarahB88 · 22/07/2024 09:00

Did my first 5mg dose this morning! They’ve accidentally given me 5 needles so I’ll get the bonus dose out which is great.

Weighed myself this morning and my weekend excitement of being 100.9 had popped up to 101.5kg. I’m going to record that as my loss as it’s still a 1.9kg loss in a week and I don’t want to skew the loss for this week by using a lower starting weight.

SW: 105.5kg
CW: 101.5kg

So that’s 5kg (11lbs) in 4 weeks on 2.5mg which I’m delighted with. I am also now back to my pre pregnancy weight 9 weeks postpartum (I’m not breastfeeding).

Tirzepatide · 22/07/2024 09:10

That's good news @coffeeandteav , hopefully it will get dispatched today.

That's fab @JomonotFomo & @CoastalCalm - 2 stone! 🎉

Sorry you're feeling ill again @JomonotFomo , especially after your slow increase.

I've done 3.2, 4.2 so far (in 2.5 to 5 transition)... I'm going to stick with 4.2 again this week (will be on holiday), then maybe do 4.5...

tellmeitsnotjustme12 · 22/07/2024 09:26

Loving all the weight losses here, I weighed myself at the weekend and was amazed to have lost 2lbs whilst on holiday. I didn’t restrict myself but really didn’t feel like overindulging either.

Does anybody just not enjoy anything sweet anymore? I’ve noticed I don’t like bananas anymore which is odd.

Tirzepatide · 22/07/2024 09:46

Great result @tellmeitsnotjustme12 whilst on holiday!

No, that hasn't happened to me - I still like bananas and sweet things, but not too much. I'm definitely savoury first though. I've found that I'm much less interested in eating during the day but in the evening I can manage more food. I pretty much always have something sweet after my evening meal - cherries/yogurt/chocolate mousse.

Thanksforyourlackofthought · 22/07/2024 11:07

Morning everyone. It’s so great to hear all the success stories - and the very wise words of warning!
Im travelling most of today so have packed extra water.
Im a week and two days in and just shy of 10.5lbs lost.
i know it’s water weight but I’ll take it!
Really hoping my code gets used so I can continue as long as I need to.

Greyrockin · 22/07/2024 14:37

I'm on week 4 (day 4) of my first 2.5 pen and I am so hungry today compared to other days. I was hungry'ish yesterday too and went just over 1400 cals which is more than the 12 - 1300 I've been sticking to recently. I'm tying not to go over today but there isn't any appetite suppression and food noise is loud.

I was planning to stay on 2.5 as the first 3 weeks were fine (apart from wind and constipation). I'm drinking loads of water but think I definitely need to up my protein, which is only averaging 50 grams a day.

Any ideas for protein meals & snacks? I'm eating meat, eggs, Greek yoghurt, fish and Puriton shakes, but when suppression is good I find it difficult to eat much more than 1000 - 1100 cals.

Also - I am trying to remember this is just a loading dose and not a therapeutic one but today's hunger has taken me a bit by surprise...🙂

Callmejudith · 22/07/2024 17:52

Catching up!

@Panick sorry I read your blood pressure post yesterday and forgot to reply. I have definitely had spells of feeling faint and dizzy, I thought it was low blood sugar but could have been pressure for sure. I haven't had it for a couple of weeks but I think that's because I'm fuelling myself more mindfully now.

@CosyNan 10lb overall is really really good

@Summerheels definitely sounds like a plan to reset.

@SarahB88 11bs in 4 weeks is great.

@coffeeandteav good news about the replacement pen.

@tellmeitsnotjustme12 that's so good to lose on holiday!

@Greyrockin the clear whey protein drinks are actually ok. I also like the merchant gourmet lentil packs - they are full of protein.

So annoying re all the warm pens! I suspect all the companies are dealing with high demand.

There's a super interesting post in the main thread about insulin resistance, I've definitely got that! I have had ZERO sugar cravings and have also completely given up diet coke. I want to never have a diet coke again!

Callmejudith · 22/07/2024 17:55

We are going away on Wednesday for 6 days, I was pondering whether to miss a dose but have decided against it.

mcdle · 22/07/2024 18:15

Client lunch today and I overindulged 🤢🤢 almost threw up in my bosses car on the way home, so embarrassing and have three more to get through this week). I'd normally be loving it - free food and wine and all that but MJ has made it impossible (a good thing). I tried to order well but clients kept ordering more bits and loading everyone's plates, refilling glasses. I've managed to cope on nights out with friends but found it impossible today and now I feel awful 🤮

Callmejudith · 22/07/2024 18:19

Oh no @mcdle that sounds awful! Lots and lots of water needed.

JomonotFomo · 22/07/2024 18:28

Thanks everyone @Callmejudith that was my 8th Jab so 7 and a bit weeks?

Can you say you aren't drinking at all for the next 3? "Oh, I over indulged at the weekend so I'm having a dry week" and get the staff to take your wine glass away? Then it's only the food side, which might be easier to manage at least?

Edited to add that it sounds dreadful and I over indulged in wine at the weekend which resulted in very funny feeling insides the following day so have done exactly the same thing!

TheShellBeach · 22/07/2024 18:39

Wowsers - second day after my first 5mg jab.

Found it very hard to eat.

We had a long drive today, to a hospital OPD appt. Six hours. (We live rurally in Scotland and the hospital is 100 miles away).
Anyway - usually, on journeys like that, we take tea and sandwiches with us, and often have lunch on the way back.

I just couldn't eat! I managed half a sandwich and two cups of tea. No lunch.

It was just about possible to eat half of my dinner (chicken, broccoli and a tiny portion of mash).

I am surprised by how effective this dose is.

It's good to see everyone's losses. I seem to be at a plateau but as I am eating so much less, surely I'll go down a pound or two?

mcdle · 22/07/2024 18:40

Thanks, I'm going to have to do something, feel absolutely rotten. I probably only had two large glasses but with the food and also time of the month it's knocked me sideways, been mostly in the loo since I got home.

Thanks for the support and suggestions! Been my first experience of feeling this crappy since starting

I'm sorry you've had a rough day.

Alcohol should be avoided really - it messes up your blood sugar, which is being affected by the Mounjaro already.

I know it's sometimes hard to estimate how much less we need to eat - I think we have trouble realising that our appetites have been seriously curbed by GLP1 meds.

I hope you feel better soon. Have you got some Gavison?

ChynaS · 22/07/2024 20:45

I had my bonus injection today of my 1st 2.5mg pen and I was looking at it to see if it stated how to be disposed and I noticed the expiry date was 05/2024. Looked at the packaging and that cofirmed 05/2024. It was delivered 20th June! Maybe why I have had no side effects and only lost 6lbs in the past 4 weeks. I ordered it from Parmacy2U. How do I complain that they sent me an out of date pen?

There should have been a letter in the box telling you the expiry date had been extended on it. There was a whole batch.

ChynaS · 22/07/2024 21:06

I do not recall any letter. Only 2 x instruction leaflets. However I have just googled it and it seems ok. Maybe I just need to hurry up and up to the 5mg.

Greyrockin · 22/07/2024 21:12

Re: Zava warm pens. I received the following message from Zava -

"Thank you for your message,
Due to the packaging we provide with an ice pack and cool wool, we can ensure the medication remains within this temperature range for up to 48 hours and is safe to use if delivered in this time frame.

The Royal Mail label was created on 15/07 however your order was dispatched on 18/07 and delivered on 19/07. This is why the tracking updated on 18/7. This means your pen was delivered within the 48 hour timeframe and is safe to use

It is expected the ice pack will melt during transit, please note this is not cause for alarm, you can continue to use and refrigerate your pens as per our previous guidance"

But guidance on the Numan website says

"Your medicines are kept in cold storage throughout the supply chain and while they are kept in our pharmacy. We deliver them to you using a cold chain packaging to ensure a consistent refrigerated temperature during delivery. Our in-house studies have demonstrated that our packaging can maintain the medication at a temperature between 2 - 8 C for up to 72 hours.

In the unlikely event that the pen has not been stored in a fridge before first use:
Ozempic/Wegovy will still be suitable to use for up to 6 weeks after the date of dispatch.
Mounjaro will still be suitable to use for up to 30 days after the date of dispatch."

My pen was room temperature, not fridge temperature so I'm still not sure if it's safe? I've asked for a refund again and said I'll send the pen back, so will see.

Edited to say I'm getting really confused about the fridge temperature issue and whether safety is compromised during transit or not? 😕

Edited

Mine from medexpress was in the big box not the pen box.
