Continuation thread for the June 2024 Mounjaro starters.

I just twisted to 1 (using some pliers), then scrolled back down as I was aiming for 3.75mgs. I used a fresh needle for the extra bit (which Voy sent through).

Noticed my knees are not creaking as much going down the stairs in the morning. Win!

@JomonotFomo i wish it was just one day, it seems to be every time i eat something, honestly they are so bad im sure i must be walking around stinking of sulphur 🤦🏼‍♀️

@DazedAndKerfuddled I read somewhere else they are caused by foods containing high sulphur, so onions, eggs, meat and high-fibre foods like nuts and seeds. So basically we need to eat more protein and fibre (good for the body) but eat less protein and fibre to reduce the burps.

@Sewfrickinamazeballs oooooh this is not a fun part, im gonna have to work it out, i genuinely cant cope with this long term, i wouldn't mind if just a day or 2, its not nice but doable, constantly and waking up because of it isnt 😕 i reckon this is my just desserts for not having any other side effects 😕

I have seen people recommend peppermint tea and peppermint oil capsules (not the slow release ones)

Could you try sucking a bit of extra strong mint?

I had a couple of polo's yesterday but will definitely grab some peppermint tea today, thank you for the suggestion

I going to stick to plain rice and veg today and see if that makes a difference too 🤞

DS made pizza last night and I couldn’t bring myself to refuse it so I just had a quarter cut into slices and it was actually perfect and no ill effects despite the cheese. Usually I’d stuff in at least 5 slices and then feel gross

Question for any Voy people around - when do they send your second pen? I’m due to take my 4th dose tomorrow and have checked my account and it doesn’t say anything about the next one being processed or anything🤔 Anyone know?

@IReallyNeedThisToWork my payment was taken 2 days before the dose was due, it was sent out the day before it was due and received on the day, my voy account did tell me it had been dispatched from the point of payment clearing

@DazedAndKerfuddled EEK! That seems to be cutting it fine 😩 but I am a ‘one to use and one in the cupboard’ type of person. That’s really going to stress me out! Thanks though - it’s good to know I shouldn’t expect it earlier😁

Yeah not gonna lie i was twitching a bit, said to my friend id now recommend people wait a day or 2 when they get their first one to make sure they have some delivery leeway

I just checked my voy account and the date is different depending on what device I log in on so have emailed them to confirm.

@IReallyNeedThisToWork are you planning to do a bonus dose? That will give you a bit more leeway.

Here’s a worry I have.
MJ is generally prescribed to people with a BMI of 30+
I’ve been doing my little calculations and at the rate I’m going (if it keeps up) by the time I order my 3rd pen I’d be just under 30 BMI but 2 stone away from the top end of my “healthy BMI”. Would they decline an order if I had a BMI of 29 even if the reason is simply because it’s working?

I got an email to say my order was approved 7 days before I was due to jab (Thur), an email on the Monday to say it was dispatched, it arrived Wednesday. Payment taken on the day it arrived. All pretty smooth

On the continuing Mounjaro threads there is a list on page one of the suppliers and when they have said they will cut you off.

I fully appreciate I’m in a privileged position having this issue and having started at a BMI of 32 when so many are starting from a higher BMI - I just feel like I’m only just rewiring my brain to understand I don’t need to eat everything all the time and there’s a distinct feeling of “I’m running out of time!” and it feels like it’d be cruel for me to be cut off mid journey and I’d easily fall back into old habits.

No problem, a lot of people are worried about when they will get cut off, especially as it’s not the same bmi with every supplier. I’ve got a way to go yet but it still worries me.

In my last week of 2.5mg and I'm 9lb down. Hoping for another one before Saturday, as 10lb sounds so much more 🤣

@Callmejudith yes I am planning on taking the bonus dose so will have that wriggle room but it still makes me twitchy 😂

@Lynsey14 my understanding is that they won’t do an initial prescription under bmi 30 but most will continue to prescribe for you as an ongoing customer to bmi 25.

Is anyone else looking at clothes online, then putting stuff in your basket, then deciding not to because you'll be a different size soon?

Just taken my 3rd dose of 2.5mg. I've only lost 1.7kg so not exactly a poster child for MJ but I guess a loss is a loss. Will def. go to 5mg after 4 wks.

SW: 101.4kg
CW: 99.7 kg

@Lynsey14 I think it depends on whether the supplier checks your BMI everytime. Voy didn't ask me for the second pen so I'm assuming it'll just keep going until I cancel.

@TheShellBeach yes at least 3 times a day! I did do an order from H&M of summer dresses and went for a size down in everything was feeling very optimistic

@ChynaS a loss is a loss for sure!

Voy came back to me and confirmed dispatch of the 13th which is plenty of time especially with the bonus dose wiggle room. I'm impressed by their customer service I have to say.
