That's amazing! Well done.

And welcome to the newcomers.

BlueMumma2018 · 21/02/2024 20:19

Hey all,

just an update. I definitely find the last 10 days of a dose is a bit pointless, it completely wears off for me. I start 1mg next week and have been hunnnngry

@BlueMumma2018 10 days is a whole week and a half. So it only works for you for 2.5 weeks of each dose? 😣

Progress so far-
start weigh-196lbs
5 weeks- 183lbs
total -13lbs average 2.6 per week

just did my 6th jab, my second at 0.5.

Im very happy. So glad I had the encouragement and support from this group to go for it 🥰

Amazing, well done 🎉🎉

Hi
Did my 2nd 0.25 injection this afternoon. Week 1 lost 3lb. Start of week definitely changed my appetite but last few days I've been hungry and had chocolate wine and cake 😞😞
Is it normal for the effects to wear off during the second half of the week? Is it better the higher dose you have?

wibble44 · 22/02/2024 07:39

@Nicebloomers thanks, it is exactly the same number as my .25 pen so not so random.

Well done on your progress by the way!

@whippetmum1969 i definitely felt the 0.25mg dose wearing off towards the end of the week. Much improved on first week of 0.5mg this week, so much so I forgot to take the second dose on Tuesday night so did Wed am instead - simply hadn’t felt hungry and registered it. Stick with it and good luck xx

That's brilliant news @Nootkah The benefits to your health and self-esteem must be enormous. Keep at it!

starlilly88 · 22/02/2024 09:53

I've just taken my second dose of 0.25. Questions about ordering the next pen - do they let you order the next pen anytime, or do you have to order it after 3rd dose? And can you order more than 1 pen at a time? Concerned about stock levels as 0.25 run out at Bolt where I ordered from, and might be a pain to order from somewhere else once my BMI goes under 30 🤞

Cuzco · 22/02/2024 09:57

@starlilly88 I switched to Bolt as a cheaper supplier for my second pen and I just had to send a photo of the previous box prescription label with my name on it or order confirmation email as proof, so I'd assume they're all set up to accept people changing.

I've seen it recommended to order when you do your third dose.

Don't know if you can order more than one at once.

I would also be interested to know what happens if BMI gets under 30.

Kelsie78 · 22/02/2024 10:57

Well done to all. Just wondering if anyone has reached a plateau with there weight loss and if so how long to get it moving again? What did you do to get passed it?

Nicebloomers · 22/02/2024 11:45

@starlilly88 i order from Bolt too and the website told me when I could order the next pen. It wouldn’t let me order before a certain date and only one so people aren’t messing with supply. I think it was after my 3rd 0.25 jab. I’m concerned about supply too. Although I’ve recommended Bolt on here so it’s probably my own doing 😂 wish we got commission 😝

Berlioze · 22/02/2024 12:30

Why would there be issues with obtaining WVY if BMI gets under 30, sorry, could anyone explain?

givenup123 · 22/02/2024 20:34

I know it’s only day 2 but I literally feel no different? I’ve double checked and the pen did turn back to 0 and I held it in place for a slow count of 10. Am starting to wonder if it’s faulty and nothing went in? How long does it take to kick in?

Some people don't feel anything for the first few doses, don't worry

givenup123 · 22/02/2024 21:13

witte - thank you! Am praying that’s the case.
I hope it gets better than this …… if I could do it without help, I would have done so already!!

It’s for BMI>30, or BMI>27 if you have another medical condition eg high blood pressure.

I think you can’t have it initiated if you’re at a lower BMI than 30 or 27 if you have another medical condition but, presumably, can continue on it if you achieve a lower BMI. I’m not sure.

Berlioze · 22/02/2024 23:09

Oh, I was hoping I'd be able to continue on it till I get my BMI down to around 25... can anyone shed some light on this?

LadyWithLapdog · 22/02/2024 23:23

@Berlioze me too. I started at BMI 27, I also have high blood pressure, so qualified. I’m hoping to get down to BMI 25 and wanted to continue till then. I should be able to place an order for the next dose tomorrow, I’ll see what they say.

Berlioze · 23/02/2024 08:03

Finishing my first week tomorrow morning. Had a slight fluctuation up yesterday and now again back down to 203lbs (92.1kg) so I think I am actually getting there which is astonishing. I get this familiar lovely feelings of firmer skin, flatter belly and clothes getting comfortably loose in my thighs. That's amazing.

I had slight nausea come and go but nothing worse than my pregnancy, so I don't care too much. There is slight constipation, I think I need to up my fibre though - I could gladly skip breakfast (generally, with or without WVY) but I ought to remember it's an important source of fibre eg in certain cereal. I definitely need this especially now I'm on it. Yesterday I had two biscuits out of a pack of 4 and put the rest of them away. UNBELIEVABLE!

Anyway, in next couple of weeks I'll try more fibre, cereal with fruit and yoghurt or porridge, wholemeal bread sandwich with salad and meat for lunch etc. I'll try to take it to work with me, I hate eating early in the morning! My "need" for snacking has subsided, still there, but much improved, even though I had a really shit week and felt down because of work.

Second 0.25 tomorrow 😊 Tonight I'll be enjoying myself dining out with my girlfriends. Have a good weekend everyone!

Oldandcobwebby · 23/02/2024 10:37

A personal update...
Male, 60, hypothyroidism

2 weeks in.

SW 197.3 lb
CW 190.3 lb
Target weight 168 lb or a little less

Exactly half a stone lost! I'm so pleased!
I'm a notch tighter on my belt, and can now fit into some (not all!) of the next size down in trousers.

No cravings for food, eating sensibly. No side effects apart from mild constipation in the first few days.

Feeling great!

Nicebloomers · 23/02/2024 11:08

Well done everybody!
