I no longer like my dress... opinions please

So this is me at my first dress fitting (although I’ve heavily cropped the pics so I’m not identified), alterations are still to be done to make it fit properly and obviously I won’t have a black bra on.

I liked the dress whilst in the shop but seeing these pics I think it really doesn’t look anything special, or suit me that well but I’m stuck with it.

From googling the dress I’ve read that other brides found it hung nicer without a hoop so I’m going to try that but I don’t know what else I can do with it?

I do have a veil to wear with it but my fiancé has accidentally found out about it so I’m not sure if I should still wear it.

Can I please have your opinions ladies.

If the dress were "enough" on its own it would be way too much with all the extras. It's lovely.

You look lovely but it definitely needs altered. It's too big at the back and waist, the money that we pay fur wedding dresses means (IMO) it should fit like a designer dress - ie make you look smaller, accentuate curves etc. This dress is not doing that right now but definitely could.

It will (should) also be steamed before they give it to you which will make tons of difference!

OP, this is my wedding dress! I got married on the 23rd August this year. I was never completely sure about it until my final fitting and I absolutely loved it! I had hair up, a veil and heels and I had so many compliments about the dress :)

I’m loving your full length veil as well. I’ve been considering changing mine for one.

I only ended up with ivory as we had a short engagement and I had to buy off the peg. I think white is lovely too!
My veil had small diamanté’s all over it and it looked amazing from behind when I was at the altar as it caught the light (according to my friends). I would definitely go for a full length veil if you can.

It's beautiful. Classy and elegant, just gorgeous. Fit needs tweaking but honestly I don't think you should worry. Yes to veil.

It's very like my dress! I was worried after it was bought, thinking I should have gone for something else, until I put it on on the day itself.

I wore custom-made shoes from etsy and once I'd swapped them for flats in the evening I put them on display as they were completely amazing!

I'm sure once your dress is ready and the big day gets closer you will love the dress again!

I know this is an old post now but I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who made me stick with my dress.

I had my dress fitting last night and you were all right, it looked so much better one it fitted and without the hoop!
