Finally creeping back after a holiday and being ill!

On subject of presents for groom, he doesn't wear anything like a watch or cufflinks (even on the wedding day) so as our venue is a golf club I am booking him and his 3 closest friends for a round of golf in the morning then a round of drinks and a fry up for after they get back to club house! the wedding is at 3 and he wakes at about 6am every day so will be bored and his mates are big drinkers but he isn't so I thought it would be a good way of getting them away from pub and doing something he likes...the only problem is I want to go to the venue in the morning an see it emppty before guests arrive, our neighbour owns the golf club so he is going to patrol on a buggy while I am in there to make sure we don't see each other!
I have my head band from the lady who made it and ds said I look like a princess (he is only 2.5) he rarely notices I even exist so see this as a good thing! she has emailed and my bridal belt is almost finished I cant wait to see it as she said she would style it like the head wear but other than that I have no clue!

I had my hair trial yesterday, which went well, so that's another thing out of the way.

Hair trial?! What are you having done?! I'm just washing, drying and waving it myself on the morning. Getting it coloured at a salon, maybe.

I usually don't bother much at all with my hair. I wash it and leave it to dry by itself. It's wavy and red and a bit manic. However, my hairdresser basically refused to allow me to do that for my wedding!

So we've compromised on this. And she was right. It looked lovely yesterday.

I'll be having my hair similar, loose and wavy pinned back. It's really long.

I got my dress today! Frmo berketex of all places, absolutely by chance, was walking past on my way to HMV, noticed they had a sale, went in and...there it was!

Ooooh, have you got a link?! I got the veil for my first wedding from Berketex, as they were the only people I could find who carried pink veils.

We went to view our possible venue for the summer. Maaaaaaah I love it! It's so pretty - just a hall, really, up the stairs from a cafe in a beautiful old hall, in a gorgeous wee village...

No, I can't find it anywhere online? Apparently they only made a couple. It's Julian & Adam 10899. Off white/ivory with beaded lace applique with slight gold thread through the embroidery. A line, with a beaded belt, a really long train.

Dress lace is little flower designs, all sparkly with pearls and gold. It's v.subtle and vintage looking. Will perfectly match my shoes, cream and gold irregular choice!

I had a google but can't find it either. It does sound gorgeous, though.

What do you think of this for bridesmaids dresses? My dress is off white with ivory lace appliqué, with gold thread in the applique. It's also got beads and pearls on the lace. So I think this dress would either compliment mine really well, or overshadow it?

It's never going to overshadow your wedding dress! I think it's a lovely dress. I like pale colours for bridesmaids.

It's already cheap. I'd be afraid they'd all go in the sales.

Mine will now grind to a halt due to Christmas, which is starting to stress me a tad. 3 weeks isn't long when one of the weeks is a write-off!
