DisabledUserName ~ you'll probably get some heavy snow showers this afternoon (4pm/5pm ish) but should ease overnight. It's going to be really cold though ~ below freezing from mid-afternoon onwards.

AnnieAnoniMouse · 17/03/2018 11:29

Central South East - snowed from about 5:30am for a few hours on & off. Laid but not heavy. Roads are fine. No gritting at all.

WreckTangled · 17/03/2018 11:30

Snow has stopped here. I don't think we will get much more.

GloriaSmud · 17/03/2018 11:31

Yule ~ I hate it when people pressure others like that. If you do make the decision to go, perhaps see if you can leave early?

Melty ~ probably a wise decision there.

Not ashamed to say I actually cried this morning when I woke up and saw it. I have an autistic DC and this weekend is for him. He'll be devastated if I had to cancel anything. Thankfully, the Bulldog spirit kicked in and I completed everything I had to do this morning in my rear wheel drive. Not snowing now, but due more later. So long as it arrives later rather than mid afternoon

Just read that back...I appear to be using this thread as a personal rant to myselfGrinGrin

Delatron · 17/03/2018 11:38

It's all a bit deceptive at the moment isn't it? Lots of fine snow swirling around in Bucks but nothing settling. I'm on a train to London but prepared to head back early if I need to. Difficult to judge how the trains will be affected at the moment.

gttia · 17/03/2018 11:38

I thought we'd got away with it but seems everyone is saying it will settle in Kent later. I was hoping to get a train somewhere later to enjoy a glass of wine. Looks like I'm walking to the local

Delatron and gttia ~ it is all a bit like that at the moment!
Leicester's under an Amber warning and one minute the sun's out and the next we're having a bit of a blizzard!

roseannaleeXo · 17/03/2018 11:54

@OhYouBadBadKitten do U reckon the weather will be better next weekend we are getting married Confused hoping it isn't snowing or raining .......

GloriaSmud · 17/03/2018 12:04

roseannaleeXo ~ (hope you don't mind me answering, OYBBK's a bit busy today) Whereabouts in the UK are you?

SpringNowPlease2018 · 17/03/2018 12:14

relieved to see people complaining about snow! Normally on here they seem to actually want it!

outer London, had a bit but gather c 4pm is when it all goes wrong.

Luckily I was parked at home this weekend anyway because I have a feeling I would not have been happy to go out! Blowing a hoolie too.

Namelesswonder · 17/03/2018 12:19

Blizzard conditions on and off in Edinburgh. Didn’t stop school football match going ahead, my car said -1 felt around -6 with windchill. Hardy kids in Scotland!

ButtertubsPass · 17/03/2018 13:12

I am in York now - Sun is shining - no snow here.

Butternutissquashed · 17/03/2018 13:15

It was bad here a few weeks ago and race was cancelled. It’s just been cancelled again so Chinese and wine night tonight it is!! I’m still hopeful it’ll miss us so I can get out for a little plod. Forecast looks ok after about 10am.

icantdothis2017 · 17/03/2018 13:15

Snowing heavy here but none has layed . Looks like it's just beem raining ..ground is wet. None on cars or roofs.
West Sussex

megletthesecond · 17/03/2018 13:32

We'd better have nice weather next weekend. I've rescheduled our day out and the dc's have an Easter egg hunt planned.

DisabledUserName · 17/03/2018 13:40

Thanks gloria getting them all plenty of hay and water now before it turns.

Gertrudethestag · 17/03/2018 14:10

Snow in Cornwall but very wet snow.

fortyfourfeasts · 17/03/2018 14:26

Crazy in Nottingham. Horizontal snow then brilliant sunshine!

youarenotkiddingme · 17/03/2018 14:26

Lots of snow globe snow here in Hampshire.
Not settling though.

GloriaSmud · 17/03/2018 15:14

fortyfourfeasts ~ same here (Leicester) One minute it's blizzard conditions and the next, the sun comes out! Temperature bounces between 1-2c and 0.3c

WreckTangled · 17/03/2018 15:37

No more snow here in Sussex. Any we had disappeared pretty quickly.

Lupiform · 17/03/2018 15:39

SW London here. We had beautiful thick snow this morning - flakes whirling around everywhere but not, thankfully, settling. It's just starting again but so far quite lightly and looks like it possibly could settle a bit this time.
