sluj ~ I think tomorrow, fairly early on would be better for your journey.

Perihelion ~ I've got 5 lots of frog spawn already in my pond. They don't know about the cold snap coming!

GloriaSmud · 16/03/2018 09:00

Metoffice can't decide on what we might get here (Leicester) ~ we were forecast to have heavy snow all through tomorrow night, that changed to light snow and now it's nothing at all Confused

megletthesecond · 16/03/2018 09:09

I love winter but not when I've planned a much needed day out. I think the worst that will happen is a sprinkle of light snow first thing, that doesn't muck the trains up does it Confused.

Springiscoming123 · 16/03/2018 09:12

im guessing things are not gonna freeze like last time, pipes etc??

Ouch44 · 16/03/2018 09:17

Argh! Not sure how high on your scale though?!
Much looked forward to night away in Brimingham tomorrow night. Am travelling from Manchester. Is it going to affect us? Would it be better on the train?

coughingbean · 16/03/2018 09:42

I am going out Saturday night and am in north surrey/Hampshire.
Will I be able to get home ok?!

Notmyideamovingon · 16/03/2018 10:32

We just got an orange bugger.

GloriaSmud · 16/03/2018 10:52

Springiscoming ~ no, shouldn't have frozen pipes this time as it should just be a short cold snap.

Ouch ~ you might want to look into trains as the middle part of your journey goes through an Amber area. If you do travel by car, might be best to leave early tomorrow.

Coughing ~ heavy snow forecast for the area tomorrow night. You might want to postpone it.

icantdothis2017 · 16/03/2018 11:01

Fucking feck sake.
This better be gone by Monday

Ouch44 · 16/03/2018 11:43

Yes train looking good option. I might actually cry if I have to cancel!

Whywonttheyletmeusemyusername · 16/03/2018 11:46

Just heard a weather warning from 4pm tomorrow. ...this is not good....i just need it to hold off until at least midnight tomorrow night. I am currently rocking in a corner

Titsywoo · 16/03/2018 11:55

Shit! I have a 40th birthday to go to in Brighton (I'm in East Surrey), DH is driving 5 of us there and my friend will be devastated if we can't make it. Bloody nightmare!

PointlessUsername · 16/03/2018 11:57

I am on the very edge of the amber warning. Wonder how much i will see?

obsessedlex · 16/03/2018 12:03

Am meant to be collecting my parents from Gatwick on Sunday at 4pm. Travelling from hastings and then back - what do we reckon? .........HmmNot that there's another option as I don't want to make them get the train really if travel is disrupted

coughingbean · 16/03/2018 12:32

Thanks as ever Gloria!

LoniceraJaponica · 16/03/2018 12:33

Good job we haven't made any plans for the weekend. We now have an amber warning (Sigh)

GloriaSmud · 16/03/2018 12:38

Titsywoo ~ is that tomorrow evening? The afternoon looks OK but later in the evening looks awful.

obsessedlex ~ by Sunday afternoon, you should be OK but I'd allow plenty of time for your journey.

SquirmOfEels · 16/03/2018 12:49

Amber warning here - which seems unbelievable right now because it's warm, springlike and sunny.

whyistherumgone · 16/03/2018 12:53

Can't believe we're actually going to get any cold weather at all here - it's sunny and warm, and feels like spring!

It's lulling me into a false sense of security!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 16/03/2018 13:32

My last post vanished again :(

Obsessed, Keep an eye on things, I think it's possible that you may get affected by another band on Sunday.

I'm contemplating sticking my washing on the line (sunny 13 degrees here!) at the same time as watching the snow warnings for the weekend. Bizarre!

Lupiform · 16/03/2018 13:38

Oh no, amber warning for tomorrow afternoon. Damn. I have to pick DD up from somewhere at 5.15. Is it likely to be bad by then in London?

OhYouBadBadKitten · 16/03/2018 13:41

Ouch, don't do it unless you check the radar! I made that error. Not only did it get drenched but some fell off in the wind and got muddy. I've had to start again.

Was just coming on to see what everyone things about the snow tomorrow too - have booked expensive tickets for the train (the one bloody time I am organised!) and now trainline appears to be saying I need to pay £10 to get a refund? From what I can see London will be snowy from 4ish? But...how snowy? Will the trains still be running by 6? HELP!
