I keep getting a message saying the BBC SW travel twitter feed has been restricted due to unusual activity. Presumably they think it’s a bot because of the number of tweets it’s sending out.

I am constantly to be seen calling out of the door in the teeth of a gale for my fluffy cat, only to find out she's spent the night in the understairs cupboard/ blanket box/ DCs' chest of drawers. She's a claustrophile ,.

So. DS has gone from Aberystwyth to Birmingham and is heading into Exeter (by train, driver stopped just now to brush off the ice and snow )
He is heading to south Dorset. Does he have a snowballs chance of getting there tonight?

Well we've now had a very fine 'grainy' kind of snow falling steadily for the last hour which has made everything look like it's been sprinkled with icing sugar. There's no depth to it all and unless the flakes start to get bigger I don't think it's going to be an issue. However the forecast (and the more reliable one from OYBBK!) suggests it's going to get heavier.....

Either way my milkman has just delivered my usual Friday milk a day early, just in case - what a star!

DH got from Edinburgh to within 1/4 mile from our house then couldn't get up the hill. He is blithely digging it into a space on the verge whilst i have drudged up and down twice to bring all his stuff from the car to the house. The final bag is his to bring. It contains wine. He had better not fall!

Should be OK on the train. They suspended almost all buses at 3 o’clock though.

I don’t think he stands much chance at all. I headed east at about one and it wasn’t great then and has been snowing heavily since.

The article I read (Guardian) said that domestic customers will be unaffected. Commercial/industrial ones may have fuel shortages.
