We've had glorious sunshine for most of the day, south facing garden and dh was out there from 8.30 this morning.
I'm impressed as that's usually the middle of the night for us.
It was lovely but freezing later when I walked to work, and even colder walking back at 8pm
It went really dark for about 30 mins about 3 and then went light and cold again.
About 5 min of fine snow.
Everyone always thinks the NW is bleak, but it really isn't that bad.
I'd like some snow please.

DS1 is off to Snowdonia 7am Wednesday for A level Geography field trip! Argh!!!

We have this so far and its still voming, live on the north downs and have a 16 mile journey to work in Gravesend with two children to drop off at nursery/grandparents on the way....full day of teaching and a massive hill both to get down then up another well known for chaos when theres about a cm of snow...
I've got snacks a sleeping bag a shovel and snow boots in the car.. 2010/2011 I was pregnant and stuck for hours trying to get home in it, not happening again!
Am I right in thinking it looks as if it's bad first thing then should mostly melt like today? If I can get in at least then hopefully around 4pm I should be able to get home...they never shut my school. Its that odd polystyrene ball snow and pretty heavy, looking at the road down the hill from us there's cars stopped and its a main road. I'd say theres about 2ish cm on top of the car now.

OYBK - not actually going up Snowdon, more in the valleys near Betws y coed - Cwm Idwal Nature Reserve. Although I wonder if may be canx - we’re in Dorset so travelling up country could be tricky!

Yep, we are in amber zone in SE London. Not a flake since this morning.

Still only had light dusting in East Yorkshire. Seems forecast to come down properly in early hours. I'm supposed to drive to York tomorrow but the road will probably be closed as lorries always underestimate the hill then jack-knife.

Currently 1C in my Edinburgh back garden.... the warmest nighttime/ darkness temp we've had for a few days as it's gone cloudy......

but it delays the low pressure til fri evening. I give up!

Sat down, chilled out. Went to start bedtime at 8pm holy smoke. 2 inches.
We played for an hour. Then another inch fell.
