Ok forecast for today:
early snow showers in the south will die out to give a rather lovely day. Perhaps some will pep up this afternoon though. Southern coastal areas of the SW look pretty snowy.
It's further north that is the issue. Heavy snow moving across the Midlands and NE. The NE in particular could be getting into a bit of a pickle with snow depths.
Tomorrow: It's still problematic! But a band of snow looks to move north from the south giving a prolonged spell of snow. Fascinatingly GFS is still much less keen on this away from the SW than the met office are.
Friday the models still disagree. GFS is fairly keen on a bit of a snow fest across the whole of the south, the met office seem to hold back on this for a while but then giving widespread snow in the south throughout friday afternoon, the evening and into saturday morning.
Saturday looks potentially cold and snowy for many still. Check match fixtures (but the ground will be like iron anyway so it will be a blessing if they get cancelled!)
Ok, I need a cup of tea!!!
