We're having on and off flurries on the Bedfordshire hill tops but it seems to be melting away in between. It's cold enough up here to make you cry though!

Proper snow in central London now. ⛄️

OYBBK what's the snow like for the Bristol area? Met office is saying Thursday afternoon into Friday morning - Gotta be back for the DC and am worrying about heading into work on Thursday morning and getting stuck.

I wouldn't worry so much about getting into work on Thursday. I'd keep a close eye though to make sure you can get home again.

I'm going to be in and out of the thread when I can now til late evening but I won't have much spare time for a few hours.

Had a heavy snow fall about an hour ago in Southampton grass and plants covered for about 10 minutes!! All gone now. Waiting for Thursday now, supposed to be heavy snow but will wait and see !!

Rosedog I'm in Fife and was totally hyped up but don't think we will get much now. The forecast changes every time I look. Poor kids want a snow day 😀

Primal we've got proper sideyways snow in Edinburgh right now. I've stopped looking at the forecast and am just checking the rainfall radar and looking out the window.

Right have just cleared the driveway and the rather slippery junction in front of my house. Really hoping it doesn't snow again now! But sounds as if it might. The met office forecast has been spot on for West Kent

Well oybbk didn't get much of an answer but someone near me was speculating on perhaps the sun being too strong in Feb causing the melt and then further ppn not settling on the wet?

Most snow in worthing melted away now .

Anyone know if I'll be safe to travel by bus tomorrow in West Sussex .

We have had nothing though it is just getting very dark here. We had a phone call from a co-workers husband who was in Aylesbury where it was laying and my DD's school had some which is strange as we normally get it first being on top of the hill. Then I left work in a snow storm, drove 2 miles down one hill and up another to home to be greeted with bright blue skies and sunshine. The others who had gone towards Aylesbury way have had laying snow. Saying that, I've just looked out of the window and it's just started here.

We keep getting full on thick snow showers then it clears and the sky is blue.

Loads of snow here. DD school closed . DS school open then all sent home at 11.

Our snow right now is more like hail.

Pretty much all melted now near Stockport :( we managed to make a little snowman but We're gutted now. All blue skies an sunshine, that'll probably be our spell

Snow is nothing but a cold pain in the arse that disrupts stuff .

Fat fluffy flakes of snow have turned out garden into Narnia in just a few minutes here in Shropshire. I’m dreading Friday, as all my dcs schools are either rural and/or off a dangerous A road.

Ooh, we’re Amber for Thursday and Friday now. Swansea. DD reports snowing all day in Cardiff but not sticking.

Just had a mega downpour but the radar has gone all quiet now 🙁

Woke up to a decent amount which hadn't been on the BBC forecast so that was exciting! Schools still open but DC played out before school so great excitement here !
