Just in case we need this early next week

We have SNOW!
In the last hour, we've had graupel, sleet showers and now proper snow!

And our temperature's plummeted too ~ 5.5c a few minutes ago and now it's 2.6C

Oh wow!!! I'd like some this week I'm off work

Just had a sudden heavy burst of graupel, lasted about 3 minutes

Sleet just started in West Surrey, doubt it will last long though, the sun was just out.

gttia ~ don't think you're going to get snow this week but as it's looking unsettled and chilly, you might have a week where 'all weather types' gets thrown at you so might get the odd wintry shower.

Our weather and temperature's all over the place ~ sometimes rain, graupel, sleet, snow, temperature goes down then back up so anything wintry is melting fairly quickly.

More sleet/hail in Bracknell, 4pm.

HaiL, graupel and snow showers on and off all afternoon, but glorious sunshine in between. Nothing lying here

Hail and sleet here in Surrey this afternoon. Netweather was showing snow for this evening but that's suddenly disappeared, much to the disappointment of the DC, who are nearly as obsessed with the weather as I am!!

Snow hitting the side of my car a few minutes ago during another snow shower. Temperature now down to 1.4C

Ok this is bizarre. Snow never ever sticks here. I went in a house (carer) and it was fine outside. I came back out 25 mins later and the place is white over

We've just had snow. Went for a drink few miles away and came out too lovely soft flakes!

We've got another good covering here (close to moors 20 miles south west of Glasgow) and forecast is more to come over the next few days,

DH went out for a run at 7. Came home 7.30 and said it was sleet in. 20 minutes later DS2 was shouting that the roads were white. We still have a covering now but the sky is clear.

It's blowing a blizzard here, and it's sticking. ( near Manchester)

I wouldn't mind snow this week as I'm off!! It normally causes huge anxiety but I'd get the sledges out and have a go with my kids this week!

Is it very ignorant of me that I had to google 'graupel' ?
Or maybe it's nit in my vocabulary because I'm a soft Southerner!

Looks like we had about a cm of snow in total. Just had a graupel shower now too.

Off to take DS2 to meet the coach to Wales.
