Partial solar eclipse for the UK ~ Friday 20th March, 2015

The UK won’t get totality but depending on where you are, 80-90% of the sun should be covered. More info here.

Posted all about it but it failed to upload. Got a great view of the start, very glad of having my eclipse viewer. It did cloud over, but a lucky gap appeared giving us a good 10 mins of vanishing sun with enough haze to make it watchable with naked eye. Exciting and emotional! Vanished again soon after 9 but I stood outside as it got gloomier, the birds became noisy, and the temperature plummeted.
