Surrey hills. Bit windy, but not too bad. Been awake since 2:45. Lost power for a minute, but came back.

Cornwall calling. We've had a sleepless night as Dd running a temp. Very windy but didnt look out as busy cuddling.

They are now saying that it will peak in London between 8.00 and 10.00.

Is just hitting Stansted airport. Can see one of tress that seoerstes me ftom industrial estate is down luckily over thr industrial not my house or fence now many be they will listern and come cut them down some

Cheltenham here. Been raining over night but no wind to speak of at all. Was actually worse yesterday! looks like not this far north!

Radio 5 weather didn't mention surrey. Most damaging winds currently in Wiltshire, but then heading slightly north & east. Not so much for surrey, Sussex & kent.

Woke at 6 with the howling wind (North downs area). 4 fence panels down so far, another looks as if it is about to and shed door has blown open. Still going strong too.

I'm in East London it's pretty windy here, all overground trains are scheduled to be delayed and won't start running till 9am (according to TFL).

I'm in two minds about going into work to Central London worried I might get stranded as part of my journey is overground.

TV news - Will peak between 8-10am - so yet to come. Just heard a right powerful gust outside and my window faces east and TV on < scared face> It's coming - eeek

Second Severn bridge is now open.

Surrey/Middlesex borders here. Wind woke me at 5:30 and its now just getting worse and worker and worse. Sounds like constant thunder and if I look West now that its getting lighter, I can just see a thick bank of black clouds.

Think we're in for it very shortly...

Been here on kent for last couple of hours. Lots of roads closed due to falling tree and dartford bridge still closed so traffic is going to be mayhem in the area.x

Unbelievably windy here in West London. Not as many cars as would usually be on the move at this time of day.

Sky news. Reporters on beaches. calling people on beach hardy souls.

Just been woken up by crazy gusts of wind in north west london. It isn't raining though.

East Hampshire (25 miles inland) - fairly calm and dry here, but clouds are very big and grey and moving fast, a little wind at ground level, but the tops of trees are blowing about. Wind was getting up at about 1.15 when I last looked out. No obvious signs of damage from looking out of the windows.

Poor thing - it will be killing her not to be watching her weather thingys!!

Just hitting here now ( Home Counties). I thought we had escaped it but looks like the forecast was spot on with the timing.
