Getting a bit scared now in North Dorset (Shaftesbury). Packed DS (who was terrified) off to the spare room with DH but I'm stuck in another room with DD (6 weeks). Currently awake and feeding her.

Sounds AWFUL out there. Can't see anything at all as we have no streetlights. Can anyone in my area tell me how bad it really is?

Also awake feeding (nearly) 6wo DD2. :) In Southampton, and it is still raining hard here. Sounds like the wind is staring to pick up, but we're currently having more problems with DD's trapped wind!

North Somerset... Woken by the wind! Huge raindrops lashing against the windows and v noisy, weather has completely swung round as the back of the house was getting the rain at 11 but it's the front now.

Very windy down here (Somerset) and power has just gone off.

Exeter here - it was very windy and rainy at about 2am when I finished feeding DS but calmer now. The eye of the storm if the centre of the low was over the Scillies at 3? Saying that, rain and wind have just picked up a little again.

Storm hit just after 4am. Caravan shaking like mad, honestly thought we were taking off. Heard a big screach at about 0420 and have just discovered it was the lid of our metal storage bin bending at the corners - it's padlocked down but the wind tried to open it anyway!

DD thinks its "AWESOME!" and there was me thinking she'd be scared. It's too noisy to sleep, but calming down now. Almost taken off my feet taking the dog out for a wee, but the rain has stopped.

Thinking its heading away now.
