Just looked out of the window and it has snowed again overnight. We have around 2-3 inches.

GerardWay · 18/01/2013 07:23

Snow in Bournemouth yayyyy.

digerd · 18/01/2013 07:27

No snow overnight here South Herts. Only minus 1 last night. Ice still lingering on the grass. Want the ice to thaw and then have new soft snow for my little dog.

Fianccetto · 18/01/2013 07:38

Gloucester has snow and school closures. We had no snow here overnight, DH got up and showered, looked out of window again at 6am and it was steadily snowing. Not a lot settlies, but more snow expected today and tomorrow. Am going to go and sweep the drive and put salt down in preparation.

Please be careful on the roads. Some woman lost control of her car in ice last year and crashed into DH's. No sooner was that fixed, another driver crashed into DH at a junction and wrote his car off. Nobody hurt, thankfully. We still haven't recovered financially though.

Councils should be gritting the main roads. Saw it being done in Milton Keynes, in the dark as a precaution for the night.
There is no let up on the M25 in the traffic at anytime, so must be a problem for the huge gritting vehicles to do their job.

digerd · 18/01/2013 16:19

Been snowing again < while I closed my eyes and nodded off>. Hope my Tesco Home delivery food turns up tomorrow. No snow ploughs or gritting in our cul-de-sac or even the main road and side road ? South Herts

hellhasnofurylikeahungrywoman · 18/01/2013 17:12

Barely anything here just outside Ely (Cambridgeshire), quite disappointed really.

lazarusb · 18/01/2013 17:19

Snow on South East coast since lunchtime. Not particularly heavy, most roads & pavements clear, but still enough for dd's school to close at 1.30pm.

PestoFrostissimos · 18/01/2013 17:25

Still snowing here, high on the Downs near Brighton. The DDs' school closed at 10.30am & they were sent home. DD1 particularly pleased to relax sledging with friends after her exam first thing this morning. The poor ponies looked less amused when we went up to check on them and give them a feed. The snow was building up on their rugs, they looked like little snow ponies! Smile

Twinklestarstwinklestars · 18/01/2013 20:01

Been heavy here in east yorks for a few hours, snow from Monday still hasn't melted so fairly deep, must be a few inches now.

digerd · 19/01/2013 06:55

Yesterday, my 2 hour dance class was cut to 1 hour, despite having very little snow. It became heavier yesterday afternoon.
No more snow in the night. Only 0 last night min temp.
Just waiting for my newspaper to be delivered, usually round 7am to engage in my ritual of doing 2 crosswords.
South Herts/ north London/ Essex borders.

wibblyjelly · 20/01/2013 14:13
