I want snow!!!

Herts/Beds border. No snow yet.

I am waiting for a sodding delivery that didn't turn up on Saturday so it can snow several inches tomorrow if it wants, as long as I get my parcel first!

Depending on which website you trust, it's supposed to start here between 3am and 5am.

catgirl1976 · 13/01/2013 19:28

Had it here (nw) but it's not sticking :(

CaliBee · 13/01/2013 19:29

snowing here in Shropshire and its sticking but only a fine covering so far.

Southsearocks · 13/01/2013 19:30

Nothing in um... Southsea! Smile. Getting jolly chilly though. Come on snow! Come our way!

canutesauntie · 13/01/2013 21:01

light snow here, getting heavier, Hereford / Glos borders.

Sleepysand · 13/01/2013 21:06

Blimey. It is snowing here in east Devon.

lazarusb · 13/01/2013 21:07

Happy for snow not to arrive in E Sussex/Kent until tomorrow evening! I do not wanted to stranded at Ashford tomorrow!

mama2moo · 13/01/2013 21:09

Its snowing in South Somerset - Light but constant. We never get snow and arent supposed to get any now.

Sleepysand · 13/01/2013 21:10

I'm about 5 miles south from the Somerset border mama and I didn't think we'd get any!

SPsFanjoIsAsComfyAsAOnesie · 13/01/2013 21:10

Me! Finally!

HeadfirstForHalos · 13/01/2013 21:12

Getting heavier and sticking now in North Staffs.

mama2moo · 13/01/2013 21:14

I know sleepysand the snow flakes on us have been changed to rain now for tonight and tomorrow. I also thought it was reported as moving south over the next few days. Odd. Its still snowing now.

We still have a lot of flooding around here. Melted snow is going to make that worse.

Sleepysand · 13/01/2013 21:21

mama, we were cut off on what amounts to an island just before Christmas. Crazy weather, and still roads closed round here - not least because there were landslides. My forecast says rain but my eyes say snow!

mama2moo · 13/01/2013 21:24

Wow, that must have been awful. The water levels are still very high here. The somerset levels that we drive near are still looking like rivers instead of fields.

Yep, still snowing here. Im such a child, I know I will be wide awake at 3am to check if it has settled!!!

reastie · 13/01/2013 21:25

Nothing here. I'm in Kent and hoping for barely anything or enough to close the school where I work to get a day off Blush

edam · 13/01/2013 21:31

Ooh Tidy, that's interesting (am also on Herts/Beds border). Bring on the snow! (Except I'll have to try to get into work and First Capital Connect are Not Great in bad weather...)

Sleepysand · 13/01/2013 21:35

Mama, the floods on the levels were awful. reastie - a day off would be my wildest dream!!!!! Best days ever!

hellymelly · 13/01/2013 21:39

We are on the edge of the Preseli mountains, West Wales, there were flakes coming down as we drove home from Carmarthen earlier, but nothing here now.Would be lovely to wake up to white mountains.

tigerdriverII · 13/01/2013 21:44

Nothing in N Oxon yet. If we get it we're usually snowed in. I have done loads of batch cooking and getting wine provisions so I really do want my preparations to pay off!

fanoftheinvisibleman · 13/01/2013 21:48

Just starting here in South Yorkshire.

MirandaWest · 13/01/2013 22:12

There seems to be something white falling out of the sky near York...

LeChatRouge · 13/01/2013 22:21

Very odd. I am not far from mama and we have......nothing.

When I was about 12, the levels flooded badly, then we had a freezing snap and the floods froze solid. We went ice skating, you could literally skate for miles across fields, it was epic. The frozen water was about 6 inches deep, so not dangerous, just extreme fun. I would love that to happen again.

openerofjars · 13/01/2013 22:27

I'm watching snowflakes fall onto my attic skylight here in
Sheffield! Grin

Purpleshoes · 13/01/2013 22:32

It's getting heavier and sticking here near Hereford. Trampoline is now white .

seaofyou · 13/01/2013 22:34

Snow stopped after 40 mins and never stuck in SW
