Here's shiny new thread! Anyone got a golden razz?

Yikes I Iust counted and I got 23 shiny eevee’s this weekend to add to my previous haul. Including a party hat one which I picked up along the way. I have got 60 shiny eevee’s in all now. To be fair most of the rest are from attending events previously.

I already had all the shiny evolved versions so have been spending the weekend filling dex entries. Have an XXL and 4* to evolve to umbreon tonight to complete those entries.

Am still short of XXS and 4* to evolve to Vaporeon and Jolteon and still need an XXS Flareon. Sadly the XXS hat eevee doesn’t evolve so the hunt is on for more XXS and I’m trading like mad with ds hoping for a couple more 100%

If anyone is within distance of me and wants shinies I’m happy to trade for an XXS eevee you have going spare. Doesn’t have to be a shiny one… 🙏

I note your recent post and bus route and although I don’t visit often my db lives up north so there’s a slightly less than vague chance if/when we go lucky I could head your way at some point for trading.

@SabrinaSpellwoman i think you’re the closest player to me I’ve friended on here (same county). You used the name B…B…FruitS…. previously. I remember because I accidentally PM’d someone with the first part of your name saying I’d been in the area they lived and perhaps we could arrange a trade next time I was that way. They were freaked out a tad confused 😂

Oh that’s fab! I do still have quite a few friends on it in Japan. I keep the ones who regularly invite me to raids so they’ll probably be more likely to trade too.

Hi! I can’t believe I’ve only just found this thread and have joined MN just for this. Would love to have some new friends, here’s my details:

Saw something about this a while ago. Not sure if it’s firmed up more now but the discussion I saw was whether it’d be a distance similar to that previously used for distance trading (I think that was 30 or maybe 50km during lockdown) or if it would be further and whether that would be worldwide. I’m hoping worldwide. I have friends from all over. Some I’ve kept since attending and meeting at events or when on holiday. Lots of friends from ‘up north’ from when ds was at uni.

I’ve got all the Scatterbugs, but thank you! I’m sure some would appreciate it. I used Leak Duck’s pen pals to find the last jungle ones I needed!

Remote trading would be amazing if that happens. I know I am lucky friends with a whole lot of you guys so...

I should really get over to the coast and catch some Wiglett if remote trading is likely. Things may or may not change now Niantic has sold the game to Scopely. If this year's Gofest is anything to go by, it's simply going to become more pay to win than ever.

@PickAChew it doesn't have to be at the coast. I got most of mine along a riverfront where I can sometimes park close enough to the water for them to just about spawn. If I could actually walk/scooter along the riverfront then I’d probably get more spawning as I tend to only get one spawn when I put a lure on. Do you find they pop up more frequently if you can walk along the shoreline?

That said I’d quite like to trade for a lucky one and I’m also trying to fil my XXS and XXL decs so go grab as many as you can and I’ll be up for trading for those 🙌

You can change which region you are looking for friends from. Some regions have more players posting than others but it can be worth checking back every few days.

I have a few questions about the game, which someone might be able to answer…

Firstly, how do I trade Pokémon with other players? Does it have to be arranged in advance so we’re both online at the same time?

Secondly, what’s special about event Pokemon? It always asks whether I’m sure I want to transfer them, but I don’t see any particular reason to keep them if they’re not powerful? Same with the xxl/xxs ones.

Generally, how do you decide which Pokémon to keep and which to transfer?

We have a river meandering through our city, @gillybean2 but have never seen wigglet here. I'm not far from the coast, though, it just needs planning into a day out.

@scoobyandshaggyI have fibromyalgia so often only have my five daily gifts to send if I can’t get out the house so I’m often the same.

@BelfastSmile- the event ones I guess depend on if you’re a fighter or a collector. I’m a collector so I like to have as many different Pokemon as possible. I still only keep the strongest ones of each but it does mean I have some 0* shinies or event ones. I’m not bothered about XXS/XXL ones though.

For trading you need to (currently) be near to each other and both go to the trading page at the same time to swap.

I live near the beach so if Wigletts will be used like currency I might go stock up a bit LOL.

At the minute, you have to be hear someone to trade, so you’d just talk about what to trade. I hear that remote trading is coming, so we will wait to see what that’s like. I’d recommend downloading campfire - you can message other players if they have it too, this will allow you to plan remote trades (when it comes in).

I have around 6,700 storage for Pokemon. I try to keep the following:

1. All hundos
2. Shinies except com day shinies which I reduce down to around half a dozen max
3. 1 of each costume ideally the best IV’s one)
4. XXL I keep for showcases
5. I also check all XXL/XXS in the Pokédex - if I don’t have the entry for the evolution I evolve it to get it, then delete if I don’t need it
6. Keep all legendaries and mythicals. Tag up 2 and lower for potential trading. If I have lots, I will transfer 2 legendaries for Candy.
7. Keep all Pokemon I catch if I go away somewhere or from distant 7km eggs to do distance trades with

I try to search my 0-2* every day and delete them all (excluding what I want to keep) to keep storage lower. If I’m keeping them all for the distant trade (even 100km from home is worth it - 1 trade is equivalent to 100 trades of Pokemon caught locally and when you need 10 million km for distance trade medal, it all counts!
