I got back into Pokémon Go early this year after having a stroke late last year. It's been almost like rehab-perfect for making me venture out a bit further as I've got stronger!
I really appreciate the invite, hopefully I can finally meet a few of the local players and see what's going on in the wider area.

I had campfire for a while but it randomly vanished about 2 weeks ago. Seems not just me when I search online. No explanation from niantic. They’re looking into it; I’m not holding mg breath.
Personally I found it helpful to see if there were raids in other areas before travelling and that was about it. No one else near me has it and so lighting flares etc was pointless. You also have to download a separate app which I didn’t like at all. Nice idea but poorly executed, not rolled out fast enough (they started too and then redacted due to bugs) and generally too little too late imo

What a shame, it's such a good idea but obviously very flawed 😏
It doesn't look like I have anyone close by but I do visit my adult kids in a bigger city so it might be fun then.
I wonder why they rolled it out so slowly- it's the sort of thing that is pointless without the people and they risk people losing the enthusiasm for it if they roll it out too slowly!

I'm going to level up with Jenofthelibrary and TeamFeathers tomorrow if either of you are on here? I'll be putting a lucky egg on and opening gifts before work in the morning so quite early but if you put a lucky egg on as soon as you open the game you can also get double the XP. 😊

Random friend requests incoming from Ohvienna (this game means nothing to me). You'll all die of boredom seeing the same dozen postcards from my morning walk but I'm not complaining because at least seven of them are new since I started playing.
