Blimey, those last 30 or so posts went quickly! Here's a lovely shiny new thread.

Do we have any players who are in different regions for the vivilion postcard collection?

I found scouring Pokémon go twitter, Reddit PokemonGoFriends and another site ( which I can’t remember now but was suggested on one of those) for finding international friends all useful for plugging Vivillion gaps. I change the players nickname to the area they are in so I can prioritise opening/sending to the harder to get areas.

I was fortunate to have most areas already covered having travelled to various events in the past and picking up friends along the way. I managed to find someone from icy snow on twitter which took the longest for us to get.

I was thinking about the raid nerfs. I think if you have limited remote raids,then maybe raid bosses should be a little easier to do with 3-4 people rather than 8-10.

But honestly, raiding with a lot of people is so much fun. It doesn't even matter if you don't catch the Pokémon. I also love seeing what Pokémon other people have.

What do you all think?

To GalarianPony920 - I’m so sorry about the raid this morning. I got kicked when all my Pokémon fainted and then couldn’t get back in. I have complained to niantic and in particular asked for your remote raid pass to be reinstated - I don’t mind losing a local pass but it’s really not ok for you to lose a remote one when they are so expensive now. I’m so sorry. I tried to get more people to join us but by the time I’d managed to persuade my son to join us you had (quite rightly!) stopped joining. Bloody game!

Don't worry about it. I figured that's what had happened. It's happened to me a couple times. Did you manage to beat it in the end?

Also, just so I know, how do you complain to Niantic?

If you go to settings and then help, there is a chat function button. They didn’t have live chat when I went on but I sent a message on there

Darn it. They need a screenshot of when the raid was but my journal doesn't seem to go back that far. Oh well. I will just have to place a whole load of Pokémon in gyms. Luckily, there are a load of gyms.

I've sent you a friend request @NoSexLoveorGoop from me (Debstonmon2) and an alt acct (flaub).

I’m not sure how helpful this would be. If it’s showing trainers already in the lobby there’s little chance of heading over to join them before the raid starts if the timer is already ticking. I personally wouldn’t be able to rock up and tag along with a group to the next raid due to my limited mobility. Plus in rural areas there simply aren’t the players or enough gyms to get local raiding groups meeting in person.

I rely on remote raiders joining to be able to do the higher raids locally and the nerfing of raid passes to 5 a day, increased price and many who are boycotting raids all together is making it very difficult to get a group together at all now.

I’ve had campfire for some time now and it doesn’t seem to get used (too little too late and restricted to very few players). It really doesn’t help that you have download a separate app and so you have look at a different screen to pogo.

If they’d rolled this out much earlier and opened it more widely then maybe it could have taken off but most players already have found other ways to communicate with friends and raiding communities.

Does anyone else have campfire and have you found it useful if so?

I didn't know campfire was out. I thought it was a new idea too.

I see your point about the link I sent. It would be useful for me because I am lucky enough to have a gym at the top and bottom of my road but that's obviously not the case for everyone. I don't know what the answer is but I don't think Niantic has got it quite right yet.

Anyone planning on going to Brockwell Park for Gofest 2023? The ticket prices are pretty steep if you want to extend past the 4.5 hours ticket price, especially if you’re buying for family/DC on top.
Having been to several events before I don’t expect it to go well with bugs, lag etc but my expectations are pretty low on niantic events now. The atmosphere is generally amazing though and a great opportunity to trade for regionals etc.
I’m surprised that the local hotels haven’t completely sold out already. When we went to Dortmund the first time it was there hotels in the city sold out within 24 hours of the announcement and in Montreal we had to stay a fair distance from the park again booking fairly swiftly after it was announced.

Oh that's quite exciting- Brockwell Park is my local park. I don't know whether I'll be in London that week though. Can give top tips on the area if anyone is going and doesn't know it though.

Where is it exactly? I live in London and would love to go. Was lucky enough to go to the Ultra Beast Arrival and it was brilliant. Such a nice atmosphere.

Brockwell Park (fifteen minutes walk from Brixton tube, or two minutes from Herne Hill Overground) for half the day and Central London for the rest of the day. You choose yourself which day to buy a pass for and whether to do park in the morning or the afternoon.
