Blimey, those last 30 or so posts went quickly! Here's a lovely shiny new thread.

Hmm, it says Greater London on the info page. I’m hoping that’s correct (and not another Niantic error) so I don’t have to wander too far from where I’ve booked to stay. At this point I’m not sure I’m going to manage very much walking at all let alone for 4.5 hours plus before/after.

They want you to move away from the park so that the mobile phone coverage isn’t crippled by those hanging around after their time is up. However we’ve found the best way to find the trades we are after is to go back to the park early on other days so you can find what you’re after before trainers have traded already.

furfou costumes from further afield (I have the French one but need all others)

My son is excited for go fest we only live 20 mins away via train so we will definitely do it probably the Sunday.
We managed to defeat a Tapu Bulu last night with only 3 of us in the raid as no one could join remotely I do wonder if the raids are easier now due to the lack of people using remote raids.

I even managed to get a shiny.

Happy to add people I do try and gift daily and would be great to meet up at the fest if around.

Thank you for that @gillybean2 - I've only got one friend from the sun area so it's been slow going getting those ones. I've posted on Twitter a few times but I always end up with requests from Japan instead of the areas I need so hopefully a few of the ones I've requested accept me.

At least all the new friend requests have been great to up my XP quickly with a few gifts though.

That's made a big difference for me too @gillybean2 ; I only had a few areas started and ten with none at all so this is great. Now I have a project for this afternoon when I'm supposed to be working. 😁

The XP will definitely come in handy since the remote raids went down the pan. I haven't done one since the changes, although I did five (in person) Kleavor raids at the weekend and got a 96% shiny 😀

Yes, the remote raids has really hit me. Sorry to those who have invited me lately, I really want to do them especially Genesect but I can't spend the £ for remote raid passes in good conscience. So I have to wait for my Pokémon to get knocked out of gyms. Wish there were an extra way to get Pokecoins.

@SocksAndTheCity Congratulations! I did 23 and my son 28 and not a single shiny between us. Very frustrating.
I did finally get enough coins to evolve a ghimmighoul though which I am pleased about. No more trying to persuade my son daily to connect up his switch, well until I decide I want to evolve my lucky one for the dex…!

We couldn't connect Pokémon Violet with our Pokémon Go account and we don't understand why. Did you have trouble? If so, what did you do?

I don't spend RL money in game either @ISaySteadyOn , although I have bought tickets for the London GoFest and also the late August weekender. I had three RR passes in my bag when the changes happened and I still have - it's going to take an Armoured Mewtwo return or something to make me use them 😂

It does give me more coins for things like Lucky Eggs, so there's that

The remote raid thing has really annoyed me, to the point I almost stopped playing!

We watched Detective Pikachu again today. It has grown to be one of my favourite films, full stop. I notice more loving little details every time. This time, I noticed that the second time you see the little Jigglypuff in the coffee shop, she's drawn on the sleeping man's face 😂.

Had to post this somewhere where people besides DH and DC would understand.

Really enjoy that film - saw it at the cinema and then once after it was released on Sky. Love Mr Mime in it.

I've just been on Netflix to look for Detective Pikachu and it's gone - I had it in my watch list! Where did you watch it @ISaySteadyOn ?

I bought it on Amazon video because I loved it so much when I saw it on iPlayer in December. Family viewing of detective Pikachu was one of my birthday presents this year
