Took DS out for a few raids with the local posse. He came home with another cresselia, two ho-ohs, and a mewtwo traded from one of the big guns.
I came home with........ the shopping.
Why do they always escape out my balls?!
I generally throw great curves!

DS1 isn't doing very well in battles on the phone he's using, atm. My gligars are inbincible in the great league. I don't even use up my shields against him and his gligar dies in no time.

He did have a better phone but lost it in deepest, darkest rural North Yorkshire.

OhLookHeKickedTheBall You can’t activate your own shields. The game gives you the option of putting up a shield when the other player is about to release their charge attack; you can either use it or save it for later, but you can’t actively choose when to use them.

SneakyGremlinsBrokeTheSleigh Back when Lugia originally came out a couple of summers ago a woman in our raid group did 21 Lugia raids before catching one!

And that was back when we needed 14-15 people for a legendary raid as we were all lower levels with no decent Pokemon, so it took a lot of effort to continually get such a big group together at the same time to get one for her!

Wailmer and Sneaky, you're making me feel much better about my call to skip this weekend due illness / friends visiting... It would have killed me to travel 4 hours round trip to Chester in the rain and then not catch the blimmin things!!

what both times I used them I went to hit my charge move and it popped up so I hit to use instead of ignore (or even just think about it) as I was already about to press. I've done it battling DD too. Unfortunate timing.

OhLookHeKickedTheBall Yeah, it’s just coincidence as you can’t actively activate them yourself. You just need to keep an eye on when they’re about to use their charge move so you can click ‘not now’ if you don’t want to use it on that particular charge move.

@DoctorTwo, I'm also waiting on a Cubone, which is annoying as before the Meltan event they popped up fairly regularly.

I'm sitting on a Sinnoh stone as I need to coordinate with @PickaChew to go best friends and want max value out of my lucky egg, but I've been ill for the past week and a half so just haven't been able to get my brain in gear. Sorry!
