Shiny new thread starts here. Will it be the last one of 2018?

I saw one beldum but that's it, no ralts or Bagon which I would have liked. Just a few days left of the hoenn event isn't there? I'm a bit annoyed that there is a swinub day, I have a million candy so don't need to catch any, mamoswine will be good but why use up a community day to evolve one?

Agreed Ralts day would have been much better. I shan't be bothering much with the swinub- I have loads of the critters already, including a 100IV one and plenty of mamoswine already. @kickedtheball we are due to go best friends anytime there is interaction now, do you want to coordinate lucky eggs sometime? Likewise great friends with @polly99 and ultra with @soubriquet?

I feel the same about the Swinub event. I want a Mamoswine but there’s absolutely no need for a community day to get one as everyone already has plenty of candy as Swinubs are so common.

I've not seen any lotads, bagon, ralts or beldum.
A couple of slakoths and mainly shroomish everywhere!! A little disappointing but have managed to evolve my Hoenn starters fully.
Gonna try and do a Groudon raid this weekend, but so difficult timing one around the kids!

Gardevoir (Ralts current only final evolution) isn’t that great a Pokemon. Sure, Ralts is uncommon, but you can’t base a community day around weaker Pokemon just because they’re rarer. It would just be a dex filler.

Gardevoir doesn’t have a Fairy fast move, making it outclassed by Alakazam and Espeon, and its bulk is lacking too.

Mamoswine, however, will be the best ice type in the game and great against Dragonite and Salamence, and Rayquaza if it returns as a raid boss.

I wouldn’t be surprised if there is a Ralts community day in the future due to Gallade, but its movesets will depend on how good it is.

We’ve had plenty of community days for Mons that aren’t particularly useful, Wailmer, Mareep for example. And they could release Gallade for the community day in Feb the same way they’re releasing Mamoswine.

I’m guessing Tumpy meant she has a Piloswine.

We’ve had plenty of community days for Mons that aren’t particularly useful, Wailmer, Mareep for example.

WitchSharkadder Ampharos has excellent stats, only one weakness and a move (Focus Blast) that is effective against most ground-types. Yeah, it could have better movesets and the legendary electrics outclass it, but they’re legendary for a reason. I use Ampharos frequently when raiding and battling.

And they could release Gallade for the community day in Feb the same way they’re releasing Mamoswine.

They could have, but Ralts already has a final evolution in the game, Swinub doesn’t, and Mamoswine will be an excellent release for trainers who regularly battle and raid. Depending on movesets, Gallade could easily be a dex filler like Gardevoir.

I just love the whole Ralts family. They are beautiful.

Yeah, I meant Piloswine. I hadn't appreciated that there would be a new Pokemon available on community day (mamoswine) that makes it slightly more attractive, especially as I have loads of candy, so will be minimal effort to evolve!

Guaranteed to get 5 sinnoh stones on the day too. So potentially 5 Mamoswines (or anything else you fancy evolving; I'll be saving one for Togekiss)

I’m a sucker for the pretty pokemon like gardevoir. I’m trying to be a more knowledgeable player but the whole battling thing doesn’t excite me as much as filling my dex. Probably as I live in a rural area so it’s quite tough doing raids etc

I've done 5 trainer battles today, won them all, yet all I've had is 300 stardust. For 4 of them I got zilch. What's the point of them?!

You only get an award for one team leader and three player trainer battles per day.
The point? Medals I suppose.
And DS unlocked this rather nice coat. He had to win 200 battles in the ultra league. That meant someone losing 200 times. Gosh, it was dull.....
