Is there a limit to how many gifts can be given? I was just trying to reciprocate and couldn't.

Igneococcus No. If you can’t send one back, as in it’s greyed out, click it anyway and it will tell you why.

Usually it’s because they’ve not opened the last gift you sent them or you’ve already sent them a gift today and forgot.

@BaronessBomburst, have just sent you a friend request. Nice bit of distance between us for Alolan eggs to trade with local friends.

I sent some people friend requests and now I can't remember who! My pokemon name is my (plain) first name and where I live which is also a verb (don't want to say clearly what it is!)
I'm enjoying these tasks. Need to up the egg hatching, glad I have loads of coins to spend on a good few incubators. Deliberating over whether to get a special box or buying them individually.

BaronessBomburst This thread is actually very casual compared to the other Pokemon Go places I frequent!

I’m a bit of a hardcore player; I play before, during (on break) and after work, basically any free time I have, put quite a bit of money into the game and dedicate a lot of time to IVs and getting the best Pokemon, getting gold gyms, building up the best teams, having the most efficient and beneficial movesets etc. etc.

I’m still not as hardcore as the people that put their life and soul into all the analytical and drastically stuff, though!

Hurrah, I'm onto the next part of the challenge. Need to hatch 9 eggs. I'm keeping pace with dd so have 2 incubators and I'm not gonna throw all my coins at it, need them for when they upgrade pokemon storage.

That means I have to find the player who has put a lure on the pokestop that I can reach from my desk at work a few times recently. I'm pretty sure I know who he is if he uses his real name and birth year in his Pokemon name. There are only two people with that name, one of them is too old (and too grumpy to ever have played any game) but the other one looks "like he knows his way around a 20-sided dice" as dp would say and looks the right age. That's going to be an interesting first ever conversation "Oi, X, are you OverlordX93 by chance?"

DS and I have had those conversations with a few randoms in the street before now. 😂 I say random but when you keep seeing the same people, with a phone, hanging around a known gym it actually gets predictable.
I play with DS btw, in case anyone wondered why my avatar is a boy. Although a Dutch girl's name, after the cat. My own iPhone 4 is too old to support PGo so this was our compromise.

I never see anyone else play, rural Scotland, just not enough population although I have seen it pick up now in tourist season. I held the closest gym to work which is at a Heritage Scotland site for something like 4 month over winter but it's changing almost daily at the moment.
