I managed to get out and do the gym battles and power up tasks, but the raid will have to wait until at least tomorrow, I just couldn't get to a raid in time. Only local one was level 4 and I wasn't sure son and I could do that by ourselves. Plus there wasn't time enough left on it.

I might be looking for friends on here for part two. Anyone live in the Shetlands or Cornwall? LOL! I'm looking for distance on the Alolan eggs for the distance trading badge. I'm NE England, as the nickname might indicate.

I powered up some alolan eggs from a raid. So dirt cheap.

Could have done the gym bit, tonight, if it wasn't 0eding down, but the raid needs to wait, anyhow. Since all our local gyms finished rIds before 9 and I was in my jammies by then, anyhow.

Muddling, if we're not friends already, DS1 and I will need them when we reach the second stage. Can't give the distance, but can trade it, when the cost comes down, if needed!

There are some slow down tasks on this one. Min 2 days to do the first 2 stages.

MuddlingMackem The only way you could possibly duo a Level 4 Raid would be if you were both extremely high levels (39 or 40) and you both had maxed out Pokemon with the right type and movesets that would be strong against the raid boss.

Otherwise you’d need about 4.

I’m in the US for a few weeks so have missed the eevees and registeel but I do now have Turous! Excited to have some more special research to do.

ContraryToPopularBelief Yes that’s correct, but it would be a waste of a raid pass.

It took me ages to realise on the Mew task that I didn't have to win the raids. Unless I'm in London I can't win a higher level one and I didn't see many low level at the time. You get a free raid pass every day - or two per day if you've one left over from yesterday as you've got yesterday's pass plus today's free one once you've used it and spin the gym (hope that makes sense)

Yeah I don't raid in a group so only do tier 1-3. I don't mind using a free raid pass to battle a 4 or 5 for a research task like this. I raid about once a week you see.

I can also confirm that Battle in a gym 2 times just means take 2 Pokémon to 0. Not take the whole gym down. So that was easy to get this morning.

You don't even have to take them to zero. It's the sort of task I can easily do at a conveniently placed bus stop, before moving out of range (though DS1 hates it when I do that!)

Well all this stuff is very exciting, got 4 new Pokemon already this morning. I’ll have to head out without the kids later to do a raid and gym. Makes me want to give up walking this damn magicarp!
