Someone on our WhatsApp chat helpfully pointed out a wild Gary earlier today that happened to be close to where I live. Dashed out to get it and whilst its IVs were pants it was a complete bonus that the stop it was near was for the Spinda quest today. Yay!

Talking of local chat, we have been thoroughly spoiled by the group chat admins for our local raiding team (I say team, it's something in the order of 200 players). Having given up on the Facebook cap for participants in a chat, they've spent the last month testing and migrating us to a Telegram-based format that auto-detects raids off of screenshots, links to Google maps to show you where the gym is and can integrate with members to show exactly who is turning up (including extra accounts). It's very flash and functional and they are all lovely people for taking the time to do it.

Wow MeetMe, that sounds great! Is it something one of your members has developed (& if so, how much money they could make!) or is it a publicly available app?

@bettytaghetti It's a free app for iOS and Android but it is highly customisable and you can use chat bots to automatically detect information from screenshots and cross-reference with it a database you supply it with (in this case they have added all the local gyms within ~5 mile radius along with coordinates which is what took so long!). I don't pretend to understand the more technical aspects of it, but it's a very powerful tool for organising raids.

Anyone else stoked for the Celebi quest dropping tonight? I'm still stuck on the Mew tasks (y'all know where, amirite?) but it's always cool to have a few more things to focus on. Plus, I've heard that a buffed Pinap berry is also in the pipeline, which sounds promising.

@BouleBaker That is an Alolan form Raichu (Gen VII I think?) and is currently only available via Tier 3 raids. Grab some fellow players and battle it when/if you get the chance - it's quite a gentle raid and catch, not likely to raise the blood pressure like a Legendary 😎

Had a pretty good day too; levelled up to 40 finally, so a big thanks to all the lovely peeps here that have helped to make that possible!
Now can look forward to the celebi quest as my next target.

Crikey, I don't even want to think about maxing out my level right now, it's so farbl off haha. Congratulations though! I'm still focused on just hitting lvl 30 so that I can take advantage of getting the same CPs and IVs for wild catches as like 95% of my raid group members; useful when someone alerts the group about a Hundo nearby. Grinding from 30-40 is going to take literally months 😭

I persuaded DH to download PoGo but he’s not been fussed about playing it so I’ve been doing it for him. It’s nice to experience levelling up quickly, I’m on level 35 so it’s a steep road ahead.

I’ve powered up my 93% Gary to do my first task. Looks good.

I've powered up my 100% machamp and 98% blastoise for the first task, but yes the raid and gym tasks will have to wait until tomorrow! I bet real keenos will just power on through tasks regardless!

I am wondering when the first super keen person will get it. There were some super fast people for mew on fb
