With Eevee community day coming up, I wouldn’t evolve any Eevee’s until then to ensure you get the special move.

So, I just captured him, on my last ball, with a dodgy throw that wasn't even a curveball. It was massively clutch, and I've no idea how it worked, but at least it did. IV is ok, nothing stellar (89) but I'm happy with what I rolled for a first EX raid. And, hey, it's Mewtwo. But the guys I tagged onto to raid with carried me 100% were some scarily hardcore players. Multiple accounts, max levels, 100 IVs left and right. Made me feel quite inadequate haha.

Congrats MeetMe! 89% is pretty good (especially after my special needs 69% Mewtwo from my last ex raid). I got 89% too today and that's only my second highest one.

Thanks @bettytaghetti - there was definitely some sweating going on when I was down to my last throw. Love your 'special needs' Mewie - it's all still relative, even a bumpf Legendary is a major asset to raiding.

Btw are people spending a lot/any IRL cash on PoGo, or are you mostly high level enough to earn what you need from gym control? Much as I like the game, I can't quite bring myself to spend actual money on it. I do miss the extra incubators though.

Congrats MeetMeInMontauk! I got another Mewtwo today too, but again, poor IV (79%). I’m bored of Mewtwo now; I just want one over 90%!

My collection of 100% IV Pokemon is growing; I have 12 now. I also added another two shinies to my collection as well; one new (Murkrow) and one I already have another of (Roselia, and this one is a poorer IV too). This brings my number of shinies up to 56.

I’m just about to go up to level 38, and I do regularly buy the boxes when they come out. I’ve bought three ultra boxes so far this event so put £40+ in.

I take several gyms every day, but I just think 50 coins a day isn’t enough for what I want.

Meant to say I also caught Registeel today, with a very poor IV of 69%!

I'm one mass evolve off level 39 and only spend Google opinion rewards on mine. That's about £60 over the past 2 years.

SneakyGremlins Congrats! Now if you’re pokehunting with someone else and they’re also over Level 30, whatever Pokémon you click on will be exactly the same for both of you, so you’ll both get the same IV, CP etc.

(Shinies are obviously still independent though.)

With going past level 29 as well, you’ll also be able to find up to Level 30 Pokemon in the wild (not weather boosted, up to Level 35 if weather boosted).

So now you’ll be hatching and catching better Pokémon it’s a good time to keep an eye on which Pokémon are good candidates to power up

Wait, it's capped at 50 coins per day across all gyms, regardless of total control time? Wow, that is a bottleneck. Guess it also takes away the incentive to control multiples rather than, say, a quiet gym overnight (I've found this to be the most reliable and efficent method for minimising use of revives/potions. Nothing more annoying than taking a gym and burning a ton of HP consumables just to see some bugger kick you out within 5 mins before other team members can support).

MeetMeInMontauk Yeah, you can only get 50 coins a day. Once you get 50 coins, any Pokemon that is kicked out for the rest of the day comes back with nothing.

It resets at midnight, so if you get kicked out of a gym at 1am and you’ve been in a while so get 50 coins from it, you won’t get anymore coins for another 23 hours regardless of how many Pokémon come back from gyms.

I don’t take gyms for coins; I take gyms to get gold on them. I want gold on every gym in our town so hold multiple gyms each day. So far I have 9 gold gyms and I’m well on my way to getting gold on another 9.

So if someone kicks me out after five minutes, I think that’s a good thing, as I can just go back, retake it, and get a load more points towards getting gold on that gym.

On the topic of spending money on the game, I limit myself to £20/month as I’m a casual player. Do you think there’ll be an event box tomorrow? The current ones aren’t great value for me. I mainly use coins for incubators and lucky eggs.

I've finally got enough magikarp to evolve for mythical task 6/8, it was a incense + walk along a river deal today that clinched it, as I pinap'ed any magikarp I found giving 12 candy per karp, so phew! 7/8 looks easier to complete so I'm on my way to a mewtoo...

MrsJamin Might be an autocorrect if you’ve typed Mewtwo a lot in this chat, but you get Mew from the special field research quest, not Mewtwo; they’re ex raid only

I have 1,343 Magikarp candies! As well as four Gyarados (two shiny), two of which are powered up to level 30. I live in a water area so I see lots of Magikarp

I'm level 35 and haven't spent any real money on the game. I feel that if I start spending on it I might not stop
I've uses Google survey money though so technically not all from gyms.

Somebody on Facebook has gone from zero to Level 31 in 24 days with a new account.
