33+ now! My friend (Level 28) and me (Level 25) are hoping to gift each other eggs tomorrow morning!

I can invite ds1 tomorrow, then!

Not allowed to touch his phone, tonight. Working on trust with him, including my responsibilities with him as a parent while he craves independence. (ASD)

So if I receive a gift, and I have 8/9 egg slots, there might be an egg in the gift - but if I have 9/9 there won't be.

So, what if, I get a gift when I have no spare egg slots but don't open the gift til I have a space - can I get an egg or is it predetermined?

SneakyGremlins We don’t know. Just like when you spin a PokeStop but you have 9/9 eggs, you’ll never know if you could have got one from that stop if you had had a free slot.

I’ve left a couple of gifts unopened so that after I’ve walked some eggs tomorrow I’ll have free slots and will hopefully get another egg or two.

Did you get the gifts after your egg slots were full? If yes, can you let me know if you get an egg?

Hurrah. Just befriended DH, unfortunately we have no Pokemon to swap with each other. If anyone on here wants a Lapras I have 2 spare. Only IV 53 and 67 though.

When you get a gift, DON'T open it until you have an egg space. Then you will have a chance of an Alolan hatch.

How much location info does it give out? Just the town or what pokestop you've just spun?

If you click on the gift does it tell you what pokestop you got it from? To avoid sending one from next to your house if you don’t want to.

Sneaky I don't know if you're ok with it, but you have posted several pics that could be extremely identifying to where you live (and I don't just mean your closest park). You may want to get MN to delete one or two of them.

I play every day but have obviously missed a notification somewhere. Trading?! Have no idea how that works. Also on my nearby this morning there is a shadow. A spikey looking thing. What's that?! Only notification I have had recently told me about the new legendary raid boss. I'm level 35.

I enjoyed the last thread until people made me feel unwelcome because I said it was just a game and I wouldn't spend a three figure sum on getting to a raid. The threads opening line was "everyone welcome" so I assumed it would be. It would be good to know if there is room for 'light-hearted' players to join in or you are hardcore only.

They were always confirmed to only be semi-regional and that they would swap eventually, we just weren’t sure when!

SneakyGremlins I already had a free slots, else I wouldn’t have opened them! I’ve got several unopened now, saved for when slots become free again as I don’t want to miss out of the chance of an Alolan egg

MrsJamin We have all repeatedly said that casual and hardcore players are welcome, that either playing style is fine.

I think the problem lay in your insinuation that several of us were wasting our time and money on “just a game”. I personally didn’t appreciate the belittling.

If you want to be a casual player that’s perfectly fine and you are welcome, but unpleasant comments against hardcore players are not welcome (just like unpleasant comments about casual players would not be welcome either).
