@MrsJamin the reason why some people have distant friends is because eggs you get from their gifts have their location on them.

For example my friend lives in Buenos Aires in Argentina, gifts he sends me hatch into pokemon with the Buenos Aires location. So even if they're not exciting mons I can trade them cheaply with my local friends and we both get a huge chunk of distance towards our trade distance medal.

imnotadragon Yeah, like I mentioned further upthread, Articuno is June’s seven day stamp reward. It will no longer be Articuno when we go into July, but that’s almost another week so I wouldn’t wait.

They've murdered gifts

It's a shame. It seemed like a good way to pass items to players who don't have lots of pokestops nearby. I was counting it as a good deed for the day.

On the positive and rather selfish side, BIG THANKS to the person on the south coast who unwittingly sent me an Alolan Vulpix. I luff him!

not really I love gifts

I'd like to apologise if you've sent me a gift and I haven't sent one back - I'm trying to get them all sent out!!

Thanks to the Brighton person who ho sent a gift which evolved into this Muk.He's err....quite something.

So far I’ve got mostly Meowths, but I did hatch a 98% Muk so I was very happy with that

I’m quite relieved they’ve nerfed the gifts tbh. I already have hundreds of each item they give so I’m running out of bag space (it’s 1550, so not low) and only opening the gifts for the Alolan eggs and to increase friendship levels to benefit trading and battling further down the line.

I'm currenly walking sveral eggs but 3 are from exciting places. 1 from Peru, one from Florida and one from New Zealand. (that last one will give me 19,000km when I trade the result with someone locally )

Oh and by the way I was drowning a bit in friends so I've changed my code but if anyone would particularly like to be my friend now then just PM me.

Also I'm Orphan86 anyone who is my friend already and who doesn't mind sharing the info could you PM me your location and your PoGo ID? I'm putting together a little list (just Pogo ID and location) to see how much area I can cover in the UK and work out the best distances.

Maybe we could put together a list of PoGo names and codes for those who want to make friends? People could always temp name change if they don't want their MN name associated with their PoGo trainer name/area. My local groups have done this on Whatsapp and it's quite useful. Saves trawling through the thread if it's updated regularly.

Or maybe there're too many of us on here for it to be practical?

jumie Unless you live near Lifeofa, you can’t trade with them, as you have to be within 100m of each other to trade.
