Hey I'm 5/8s through the mythical discovery thing what happens when you complete it does it restart again? And I also have collected my research stamp for today and have another to collect if I leave till tomorrow will that count as a new day even though I completed t today I just haven't clicked on it yet if that makes sense?z

imnotadragon if you leave the completed task until tomorrow it will give you a stamp tomorrow.

Is there expected to be a new legendary as mythical discovery reward come 1st July?

Hey @imnotadragon im at 5/8 too, dunno if you know but at 6/8 one of the tasks is to evolve a magicarp... just incase your close, hold off! I'm sat on my 400 candies now waiting to do it until I find these darn ghost Pokemon

Oh god I'm no where near 400 candys to evolve a magikarp! I think I only have around 208 I am doing ok with the ghost Pokemon but I'm struggling with the great throws how on earth do you know what makes a great throw each time? .x

And the only mythical pokemon I've been getting so far are Articunos I have two or three now

@imnotadragon it’s to do with how small the circle is when the ball hits it. It’s easiest with Pokemon with big circles like Wailmer, Ponyta, Jynx. I got 7 out of 10 great throws on the same Pokemon. It was a high CP Ponyta that I knew wouldn’t be caught easily with a red ball but you still get credit for the throw.

You might want to start practicing your curve balls too, there’s an excellent curve ball coming up! I now mainly use curve balls and it really improves catch rate. There’s YouTube videos on how the throw one.

The bonuses are nice-great-excellent. My first excellent curveball was on a Hoothoot but that was a fluke! You get extra XP for better throws too.

I find Mr Mime and Machop good for excellent curve balls. Thanks for all my gifts, I've been trying to make sure I don't miss people when sending back but it's hard when you can't sort, filter or search friends.

@imnotadragon start walking a Magikarp for the candy. Also if you have a local Pokémon Go friend, trade them Magikarp so you get extra candy.

I don't mind not being able to filter friends, but it would be useful if it was obvious from the friends list who you haven't given a present to yet today (and can actually receive one).

imnotadragon No. When you complete it, that’s it. You get Mew and then that screen just says more will be coming soon.

Articuno is not a mythical Pokémon, it’s a Legendary Pokemon. There are only 18 Mythical Pokemon across all generations; they’re extremely rare and in the games can’t be gained by normal gameplay, hence you only getting one Mew and not being able to trade it.

You’re only getting Articuno because that’s the reward for this month. It changes every month, so in July it will presumably be an (old) new legendary.

They've reduces the amounts of items in gifts now so it's a bit more like spinning a stop e.g. 1 pinap rather than 10

Wow, you almost never see those wild! Luckily I have 2 and have traded one with dd.

The amounts from gifts have gone right down. I wonder whether people will continue to swap gifts if they are never close enough to trade. I only have people I know and see for this reason.

I think that it depends if you get more items if your friendship level increases.

It would make sense to do that, a. It like the gym item drops.
