I'm at 43 of Hoenn region registered but would be more if Mudkip wasn't such a slippery little bugger that keeps escaping!!

TooSarcastic Ahh Team Instinct! Worldwide it is the lowest populated team, by quite a bit. We only have four in our town, but they are prolific players and you do see them take gyms frequently.

Mudkip is a Gen III starter, so it is very hard to catch. Also after this event I think all three starters will be exceptionally rare, so they’re worth pinapping!

I have my first legendary!
I decided that it was sufficiently cold and sodden to justify driving my car 300m to the gym. I think the cracks in my screen would have let in too much water while just waiting!

tumpymummy There are 135 Pokemon in Gen III, and when they updated the PokeDex they added the entirety of it, despite only a handful of Gen III currently being available (I think 50), hence the gaps in your PokeDex.

The Hoenn region is the region in the Pokemon world in which all Gen III Pokemon come from; you have caught 35 of the current 50 available. It started at Halloween with the ghost Pokemon; every Pokemon since then has been Gen III.

Congrats on the legendary @UrgentScurryFunge, I've not managed to catch Groudon yet.

WhatToDo I thought there was 70 at the moment? The original 50 they released a few weeks ago (excluding the ghost types released for Hallowe'en (I think)), then the 20 ice/water types released last week

Sorry, my mistake; there’s 76 currently available

The first 5 were the ghost Pokemon, then they released a batch of 50, then the 20 ice and water types, and there’s also the legendary Groudon.

It might be 3 less then 76? As we definitely can't get Zangoose or Plusle and Relicanth seems to be NZ exclusive (though I'm not sure if that's 100% confirmed yet)

wartortle There are 76 available altogether, with 5 regionals: Zangoose and Plusle (North America, South America and Africa only), Seviper and Minun (Europe, Asia and Australia only), and Relicanth (New Zealand only).

Relicanth has been confirmed and was given to New Zealand because they aren’t able to catch Kangaskhan (Australia’s exclusive).

If we’re talking about Gen III Pokemon available to catch just in the UK, then yes, the number is 73.

I also forgot to mention above that although Delibird was released with the Gen III Pokemon, it is actually a Gen II Pokemon (it was presumably delayed due to its unique move Present, and also it’s Christmastime relation).

Thanks all for clarifying. So I still have several to get then. Some must be pretty ilusive as there's lots I haven't even seen. Am glad they finally released delibird - I don't like the gaps in pokedex (although have to be content that i won't get the legenderies). Plus there's the annoying kangastan gap where I saw one but couldn't catch it when it was briefly around in a few cities.

tumpymummy Yes; some are very rare like Lotad, Barboach, Corphish, Wailmer, Feebas, Ralts, Carvanha, Luvdisc and Shroomish, and then of course you’ve got all their evolutions on top of that.

I also think after the event is over we’ll stop seeing Gen III starters everywhere so I’d pinap each and every one you see while you can.

Hi all, not posted for a while! Enjoying the new gen 3's but not getting many raids in.

Tip for those putting off masss evolves till the back to start glitch is fixed (so annoying for sorting through 😠), type evolve into the search and all those with enough candies will come up then disappear when you have used all your candies.

Lucky to live in an area with go maps. Managed to get a snorlax and a lapras since last night :). Also a very lucky catch 100% slakoth. Just got to walk forever now or pinap all his little mates! Currently walking a 96 wailmer. Only another gazillion Km to go.

Woohoo! Just raided and caught a 96% Groudon! Considering how amazing they are I’m really chuffed with that

I also hatched a Shroomish, taking my PokeDex up to 284, and there’s still several I’m waiting on good IVs and CP for to evolve.
