Despite only really playing at the weekend due to working I'm now 180k through Level 31. Today I cheated somewhat. The M25 was stationary, so I opened the app and left it on. I had 8 eggs cooking and between junctions 18 and 22 managed to hatch 7 of them. Mantine, 2x Exegcute, Krabby, Eevee, Togepi and Magby.

Congrats Abbey on reaching Level 30, and commiserations Spammy on not being able to log in.

😂. Lol yes, I knew that. I'm level 37 and had maxed out my storage months and months ago. What I was saying was that they have INCREASED item storage over 1000 items but not Pokémon storage.

I feel like now is definitely the time to try using my first gym! There was a gym near me earlier that was team yellow with only one Pokemon, so could I have put mine in there even if I've never used a gym before? (Didn't get the chance as only had a small lunch break).

cottonwool125 Yes, you could have just dropped one in. You don't need to fight friendly gyms anymore, so if a gym is in your colour and has less than six Pokemon in it, you can just drop one in

WhatToDo thank you will be trying this next time I'm at work to try and earn extra coins. Shame you can't use nanab berries to restore health- I don't have many razzberries but nanab berries are at every bloody pokestop

cottonwool125 Yes, I get lots of nanabs and I always chuck them to make space in my bag

Luckily DH has a huge stock of razzberries while I only have single figures so he can feed my Pokemon for me as well as his.

Yeah, sucks! But I seem to get them quickly so hopefully won't be too much of a problem.

Reddit have worked out that you now earn 1coin per 10 minutes in a gym up to 50 coins per day.

Reddit's wrong. My Pokemon were in a gym from yesterday afternoon till about lunchtime today and I got 14 coins - definitely not 1 coin per 10 minutes. It seemed more like 1 coin per hour.

Hmm, that's not bad. I'm still in the 6 gyms I was in this morning, so that's good.

And you get the coins when the Pokemon comes out of the gym? Do you get a notification they've come out, and does it tell you how many coins you've earned?

If you stay in a gym for a few days, do you get the whole amount of coins then?

I got 60 something coins for about 8 hours. I'm a bit confused but happy, I used to be lucky to get 10 a day.

My blissey came home after 5 hours 48 minutes with 34 coins - very confusing. And I also got a badge for defending gyms for ten hours? Unless its adding up all the gym time so that nearly 6 hours plus another one that was 2 hours and another one that was 2 and a half hours.

Also very glad to have hatched two chanseys in a row so now I can evolve another blissey

Loving the new gym setup, previously local gyms were all red, now yellow are dominating, got 26 coins earlier and I only think I was in the gym a few hours.

I really think the reds that previously dominated the gyms were spoofs.

Coins started at 1 per hour capped at 100 a day. They seem to have changed it already, probably because of how quickly gyms are changing hands at the moment, to 1 every 10 minutes capped at 50 per day.

Hatched a Mareep this morning and it came with 20 candy, up to 105 now. Have one more 10k incubating and hoping for another Mareep or a Larvitar.

I am still in 2 gyms, unheard of round here! Nice to see other teams having a crack at the gyms and getting in, they have been static for months.

WhatToDo you get a notification just before the Pokemon comes out of the gym. You get a message saying it needs a treat and if you can't get down to the gym to feed it, you then get another message saying it's battled hard and returned to you.The message this morning said it brought x number of coins back but the one this afternoon didn't list a number of coins. I'm not sure if that was a glitch or a change and I couldn't remember my coin total so couldn't work out how much it did bring back

The level has dropped for gym raids. I'm 29 and got a gym pass when I spun the poke stop on a gym.

Ahh, thank you, WooWooSister Good to know it gives you a warning; especially useful for the ones near your house that you can just nip out to feed.

That sounds hopeful, but could it be that anyone can get a raid pass but you can still only participate if you're Level 31 or higher?

My Snorlax has been sent home at some point this evening along with 50 coins. It had probably been in there approximately 10 hours?

I've got 2 still going overnight.

I like the way that the gym can be spun which means there is some benefit to all players. Shame they don't show up on a Go Plus though, particularly when it's a pokestop that's converted.
